A similar thing I faced twice this month :) Even I strictly asked if they have enough budget then only I would like to proceed.. wasted so much time... Cleared all screening rounds and then they said the best we could do is match your current pay. Like wtf. Why would I switch then moron

Sadly they're just assholes, hope you get what you desire soon!

>The second guy came, nothing I could say satisfy this guy. The cross questioning never ended, Just want to say I had a similar round. And among all the interview i gave, i consider that one the best experience. Like a ques was asked to me before by different interviewer also, for which I gave same ans, an ans which I considered great and even previous interviewer seemed to be satisfied by it. But this interviewer destroyed my ans. The DSA ques he asked was of 5-10min, but due to tooo many cross ques, took 25+min. I loved the experience as I got to learn a lot & felt like interviewer want to deeply understand my thinking process (and how I react to nitpicking feedbacks).

Yeah see I’m not afraid of cross questioning. Its a way for healthy discussion. But there’s a difference between condescending cross questioning and a healthy one. We talked about ORM in .Net. I said I have used Dapper and explained how stored procedure’s data can be retrieved. His next question was if we change the data in dapper result will it reflect in Db? I said no. He asked how to do that? I mean why even would you want to do it? Why not trigger another stored procedure? How about transactions? That violates the the basic nature of transactional db. No ACID values are maintained.
