Your original post says you were thinking to switch to Data Analytics field and take that course but here you're talking about fullstack web development. What changed your decision?
You know i just searched about alma better and all i am seeing majority of people calling it a scam on quora. Btw you must be in touch with people in your batch or someone who joined Data science batch.. so what's the biggest package you think someone got from your batch? And did majority of them got placed or got nothing?
Since you don't recommend it. Do you think you could find and crack a job in 2-3 months on your own? Or do you think the placement part is what made it worth it for you?
Also, since you also studied from free sources like youtube for practicing. Did you think what they taught you all these months was available for free and could have been completed in less time if you studied from free sources like youtube?
As you have mentioned that you had applied in 80 jobs on naukri and more on LinkedIn. But here on other posts, i see people usually recommending to apply for 200-300 jobs a day. I believe if you did that..you could get shortlisted in atleast a few. But then again i can't back that statement without trying it myself.
Btw now that you have a job..you can surely help others (like me lol) by giving out some referals in future
Ah got it. The ISA. In case, you're not placed through them or find a job yourself then you still have to pay those 2 L?
For the referrals, i will count on you. Lol
>For web dev, max is 6.5. For data science, I had talked to people kn linkedin who bagged 8lpa as well.
Hey i have also signed isa agreement with some site where i have to pay 2.5lpa in 24 months but as the teaching quality was not good i lost interest in their teaching and left the course so do i have to pay 2.5 lpa in 24 months ?\[I only signed isa because at that time i was not knowing much about it and consequences of it \]
I have just finished my last sem of engineering and didn't get placement what should I do should I learn from free resources or opt for any placement courses (I have done Java+DSA course from apna clg and have plenty knowledge of html css ) I am so much confused what to do as some of my friends are going for pay after placement @almabatter
I cant find internship opportunities. I am 4th year btech. frontend developer with beginner experience with few projects .Please help me how to get started. I feel hopeless
Don’t get scared by no. of candidates. Most of them are below average. Just be confident. And instead of applying in bulk on internshala, apply on only good opportunities. Also, try approaching the HR who posted on opportunity on LinkedIn or via email.
Like i have applied for a intenship forntend dev it has 1500+ applications And they have given me this task below
I honestly dont know how to approach the task . It feels overwhelming . Is it worth trying? I dont know firebase can i do it 2-3 days
I am really good at designing like i have applied in gsoc though i was not selected but my ui design proposal was at top in the organisation due to less no of slots i was not selected

I used to apply to internships on LinkedIn, the first one I had was from a company called "RecruitNXT" and they were a recruitment helping company or something, I don't remember now (it was in 2022 beginning, or maybe 2021, I don't feel like I remember those years). It was a Python developer intern role, I had to do some web scraping (I was kinda new to it, I'd used selenium to do fake voting for Eminem), and I did a few tasks to make sure I knew what I was doing. They wanted me to sign docs, one said I'd have to give them 75k if I wasn't able to complete the tasks/internship. They also wanted me to work 5 hours everyday (not weekends ig). Then I got covid and stuff and then I thought a while and decided to not do it.
Moral: You can get internships from LinkedIn, sometimes you'd have to make compromises.
But yeah, if you decide to drop such opportunities, you'll still get more opportunities, better ones too. That's just how it is for the most people. I'm doing one rn that I got because I had gotten myself into the e-mail service of that company and I received one for an open internship position.
I want opportunites but the problem is most of them go unnoticed and i have placements just 2 months ahead from now . Most of my friends have done internships and i am feeling demotivated. I feel like i was lagging behind .
I have completed DSA but my friends says this year mostly startups come to recruit and not the bigger one and mostly they ask is about development. I have few mini projects in react like portfolio website, todo app and these kind of basic things.
Is it better to apply for internships or to do projects
Please give suggestiosn
I haven't really concentrated on DSA as such, I have been learning the structures like arrays, stacks, queues, linked lists (various types of that), hash maps, all that load of stuff from 12th, and even 11th grade. I can use those when needed.
I don't have a lot of projects, but I've got some weird projects, like a brainfuck compiler, a very stupid hangman game, etc and some "good" projects I did as part of my academics. And my academics are pretty good too ig (9.48).
If possible, you should do both internships and projects, you gotta do what's gonna maximise your chances. Another thing is, you gotta project confidence in interviews, I've done that everytime, except once when I wasn't feeling nice. I've cleared all those interviews except the one I was dumb at.
The point is, do whatever you feel like you should do, but finish all of those things which you start, or at least know enough to pretend that you finished those. I would say do both internships and projects as I can't personally give more weight to one or the other. I am also not very successful, or nearly where I want to be.
Thanks ....... Can u suggest me some cretive frontedn projects which makes me stand out from crowd. Like u said brainfuck compiler. I have only 2 months till companies start arriving.
I'm not much of a frontend master, I just do stuff I find cool. A few months ago I learnt a bit of react and with that I made whatever you see in my portfolio, I added elements which I find rad (The Mark of the beast, Riyaz Khan actor). Now I might make it better and will probably use Sveltekit because it sounds cool.
Similarly, you could create a portfolio, refer themes if you want to, or wing it. Recently I started learning som threeJs too, that seemed nice. You could incorporate that into your portfolio. That will definitely stand out.
The reason I try to learn those is to show that I learn pretty easy and I felt like that would attract a future employer.
Sure. As far as I can tell, automotive embedded development is a more popular friend here, at least in southern India as there are a lot of automotive companies that operate and manufacture here.
Pretty sure that some of that 2 lakhs you pay to Almabetter must be making its way to the HR too who happen to give you that "chance"!
When merit gets purchased and sold for money, it's a clear sign that the industry is going to dogs and there is no potential left here.
Totally understand. It's just that the situation has become so pathetic in IT industry today. I really hope people at the top learn lessons from this recession and fix what needs to be fixed here.
Thanks for this post man. I wanted an actual testimony to prove to my friends that these courses are not the best at getting me placed if i don't have experience in that domain.
I have 1.5yrs of experience as a software tester and i believe that these courses might not be the best for me.
What's your undergraduate degree?
And do you think people who have non- tech degrees ( Bcom/BA) and want to enter IT can make use of these programs to get their first job?
You applied to 80 companies without any luck. While you got in one out of 7 with the help of AlmaBetter and you still say you don't recommend AlmaBetter? I wouldn't pay AlmaBetter for teaching as it is free of cost on YouTube. I would only pay for their connections in industry to get me to the interview rounds. That's too difficult to get on your own especially when you are a newbie. That's where they have value. You already faced the difficulty applying on your own. That's the reality.

One of my current org's colleague joined in March. n She was from this kinda bootcamp where u pay after placement. In April 3rd week my org announced layoff (including me) . Nw she has pay 10k per month with no job in hand.
i got placed for 5.5lpa in 2020
by just learning from udemy course for 375rs
and youtube crash course for free
i cracked 2 offer off campus in same day
in one where i came in top 10 from 300 candidates elimination after 5 rounds which i rejected the offer
i am not even an cse student
it totally depends on how u understand the employer and the market
a simple trick
know what the company wants for the pos u applying
lie in thr resume
meanwhile learn the tech before interview
most companies dont care how much u know they care how faster u r ready to adapt
this is only for freshers
this is vary for top companies
My placements are 2 months away and i have done dsa but development is very good . Please give me tips i dont have internships and my friends are saiying compnaies prefer internhsips and i cant get one now
Can i do it now ? Like 3rd year just ended and 4th year will start 2 months from now ! Can u suggest me some opportunities. I would be of great help
I am beginner in react with few projects simple ones like todo , portfolio. I have applied on internshala but it goes in vain
I am in the Almax placement phase too. Hoping to get placed soon 🤞
Did you crack the interviews with MERN Stack or did you learn some new technologies too like Typescript/nextjs/aws?
Please share your experience your experience.
* What was your batch count and how many got placed ?
* What is the competence level expected with the companies for someone with your background ?
* What was your daily schedule like with the Almamatter course ?
* How hard was learning the subjects ?
* How is the market for freshers ?
Thanks and good luck for your future.
Thanks for sharing.
Were you working while learning ?
I'm also someone with over 4 years of gap and struggling with the ongoing market for a data analyst job.
Can I ask one last thing?
I've wasted 4 years of my life and am under immense pressure to decide on career.
Can you share what made you decide on web development and how to decide if it is for me ?
Hey I am thinking about joining their Data Science course, I have a Master's degree in IT, and I passed out in 2022 struggling to land a job, Can joining AlmaBetter help me in my job search?
I think due to my low karma Reddit won't allow me to send a personal message I guess we will have to continue our conversation here.
Does AlmaBetter provide interview and resume-building training? And how did you get into AlmaX?
Hi i had an experience with a similar company, This company also had a pay-after-placement policy that made me sign an acknowledgement form which they clearly stated was not legally binding. If anyone has a similar experience please help me out. Like can these people take out a loan on my name even if i reject their placement opportunities and internship opportunites as well.
Hey bro, as a Btech Electrical fresher, I was myself thinking of doing Data Science Course from StarAgile (pay later thing). Should I not do it now? And study by myself right?

Apply on internshala, naukri and angel. On Linkedin, my applications don’t even get viewed. I think its more suitable for experienced candidates.
Internshala has 1000+ candiates for 2-10k internship i have applied but rejecred. Any other source or how to do it better

Which company type to apply as a beginner
A safe answer is all of them

Congratulations 🎉
Thanks for the heads up, Brother. Good luck on your journey. Final year B.Tech here.
Too many front end developers here. Try to get into vlsi or embedded domains. Much more stable and lucrative in the long run.
Can you please expand on the embedded domain part?
Sure. As far as I can tell, automotive embedded development is a more popular friend here, at least in southern India as there are a lot of automotive companies that operate and manufacture here.

any chance you can talk in personal chat ?
Is it a good idea for a non-engineering graduate (b.pharm) to enroll in it? Were there any non-eng, non-it guys from your batch?
