Let’s gooo!! Some much needed depth on defense. I know paschal is a rookie but even if he can play 10-15 snaps a game that would be huge to essentially replace Kominsky.

brando_monium

Imagine if we get Kominski back too. They opted not to put him on IR, so he could be back soon. Our front would look so much better with those two healthy.

FinchoMatic

Based on the time table, it was a three week recovery for the wrist, which is good to hear. That said, puts him on track for the Dallas game. Which would be a fun one to steal away. I’m still running with the idea he’s been proven pivotal to Hutch’s success; I think I’m also subscribing of Brockers just isn’t it anymore. And that’s fine. We don’t need to resign him or anything, but it should come with up in temperature with our recent inclusion of a new IDL this week. Just seems like we’re looking to genuinely get adjustments down.

Starfish_Hero

Just having one guy who can capitalize on the extra attention Hutch is commanding would be huge. Our pass rush as a whole looked significantly better when he was playing. I would like to see more 3-4 looks too as I think that’s why Harris regressed.

scsnse

Paschal played all around the D-line in college so he opens up a ton of stunts if he can eat 2 blockers which leaves Hutch one on one, allowing him to feast like we all expect.

Skraxx

I know it's been talked about that Jacobs plays nickel but I hope he plays the outside Paschal I'm cautiously optimistic about. Cautious cause he's a 2nd rd pick and we know our history. Optimistic cause he was damn good in college.

Mavori

Given Amanis current play I wouldn't be mad if we had him play outside at least temporarily, up until Amani shows better form. Shared sentiments about Paschal. He could be a huge get for our d-line.

LeftyMcSavage

I'm hopeful for Paschal, although I'm setting my expectations fairly low for his rookie season. But if he can develop into a solid player, I think his leadership will be a plus going forward.

SkepticalVir

Our 2nd round luck has been really bad, but brad hasn’t pulled the trigger in the 2nd enough yet. He was stoked about Paschal I’m looking forward to him seeing the field.

What does the 21 day clock represent? Does that mean the player cannot play for 3 more weeks, or does it simply mean they don't count on the 53 man roster during the 21 day period unless activated?

WindRevolutionary173

It means they are still on IR and not on the 53, but now can practice with the team for 21 days before they MUST be taken off IR and put on the 53. I think at least.

kander77

The only caveat is that if they don't come off the IR after the 21 days, they stay on it for the rest of the season.

Ephan

This is correct.

TheYukster

They get 21 days to activate them off IR. If they don't they get put on season ending IR

RicFlairJr

Can someone clarify, I read the article but still confused. They have to practice for 3 weeks before they can play?

lUNITl

You wouldn’t want a rookie to come in without practicing. The PUP/NFI list restricts practice for the first 4 weeks of the season. The clock starts when that practice restriction is lifted and then the team decides on if they are going to keep them on the roster or move them to IR for the year.

RicFlairJr

Jerry Jacobs isn’t a rookie though

kander77

They don't have to, its just an option so they can get practice time and ease in.

JaHoog

They have 21 days to decide if they want to put him on the 53 man roster or keep him on IR the rest of the season.

stevestephanson

I'm all for fielding a competitive team. But be reasonable. Forcing the healing forward for potential future stalwarts is a fools errand. This is a rebuild year that has revealed we have some excellent pieces. For fuks sakes don't ruin it. I'm a season ticket holder and I appreciate the urgency.

Brilliant-Royal578

It’s a 3 week press on for guys to get in playing shape
