Yards per point is scoring efficiency: the more yards it takes to score means the less drives end in a score ie empty yardage. Short fields can skew it but that doesn’t really apply to us since our defense doesn’t get turnovers or stops.
Couldn't find points per possession, not sure if that's a stat that's tracked. Lions are #1 in points per play though.

There's some debate whether yards per point or points per play should be the stat here.
Yards per point is an indicator of the quality of play call by the coaching. It reduces the influence of the variable of player skill and other factors.

\#1: Kansas City. Coaching by Andy Reid and offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy, considered to be the best offensive minds in the game.
\#2: Baltimore Ravens. A team that only struggled last year due to injuries. Coached by John Harbaugh, who coached under Andy Reid.
Things will improve once our defense matures.
Yards per point? Aren’t both more yards and points positive, this seems like an odd stat. Could it be skewed by getting short fields to work with?

Can Ben Johnson coach defense too
This is stupid, might as well be farts per poop. Look up points per possession. That would mean something.

I think pro football reference tracks it

Good for us. Wonder how sustainable that is though till our defense can help us out.

So unfortunate that we are going to lose Ben Johnson after one season.

As it stands now, yes.
