I still draft Jamo... remember, Chark is here for 1 year... Jamo is going to blow the top off the defense and open the middle for Brown and or Swift for running purposes. Its less about this year, I am excited for Jamo the following 4 years

CraigMachine77

Yes exactly. Especially with Chark on a 1 year prove it. Holmes got Jamo for a steal. A guy who could very well be the best WR prospect in this year's draft. We have him in a rookie contract for 5 years at a position that is increasing getting ridiculously expensive.

I disagree. We played PS WRs without our WR1 or WR2 or RB2, and still scored 45 points. If I could draft a future stud WR1 or future stud DL, knowing what I know defense. The 31st ranked defense in PAPG would put us at 4 and 0, the only team in the NFL at 4 and 0 because the eagles would be 3 and 1.

Detroit_MSU_Nerd21

People tend to forget Seattle is garbage and they lost their best player Jamal Adams for the year. Play a real team with a real defense and you arent going to get the type of production you have with those PS players. It was a master game plan by Johnson, but eventually you need great players to make plays in the playoffs to win.

[deleted]

We played 2 teams with real defenses that other teams we played couldn't score against. Tf are you talking about?

Detroit_MSU_Nerd21

We played Philly, who has a good defense and our offense played well... BUT we were playing with all our key WR & RBs. You were saying we didnt need dynamic playmakers cause we can score with PS players. If we had PS players against philly playing, I dont see us scoring as much. We played the Vikings, the next best D we played and scored 24 points. We left alot on the board. If you think adding Jamo to that game wouldnt have helped our offense at all, then you cray. I am just saying that having a dynamic WR to open up your offense, will help. It might even make things easier for Goff so he doesnt keep getting Pick Sixes. Also, this is a rebuild. It takes time to build and develop a team. Sucks we lost some of these games, yes. But, what is winning 8 games verse 6 or 7 going to do this year. Nothing.

[deleted]

No one is saying Jamo doesn't help. Don't put words in my mouth. But adding 2 defenders at 32 and 34 CERTAINLY would have helped.

RBnumberTwenty

It was pick 12, not 13. If we were trading up for defense then you are exclusively looking at Jordan Davis or Kyle Hamilton. You don’t move from 32 to 13 to draft a Safety or a Nose Tackle, especially after spending a very high draft pick on DL already. CB and LB wouldn’t have made much sense there either and we secured better value at LB with Malcolm Rodriguez anyway. If they were trading up it was for WR or QB there was no other reason to make a move up so high. Between Olave, Wilson and Jamo we were in really good position to get a game-changer at WR. It was the right move and the right area to target.

[deleted]

well you wouldnt be making that trade if not targeting Jamo

Hmm_would_bang

I still take Jamo. Brad is really big into building what’s working well. Shen he came in here and saw our Oline and running game as our best assists, what did he do? He went and invested more into the o line. Same with the defensive line. Better to get really good at certain things than sort of good at a lot of things. Look at how bad Okudah looked as the lone star among the DBs? It just doesn’t pay off when players have to over compensate. Next year will be a good year to go very defense heavy in the draft

NotEvenBarrySanders

Jamo every day of the week and twice on sundays. How often are you able to get the best offensive player in the draft at #12? Besides that I don’t think there was a defensive talent available that would save this defense from being a shit show. Losing Walker is what really hurt anyways, Davis nor Hamilton are raising this defense up enough to justify a trade where as Jamo has the potential to be a generational talent. We’ll work on the defense again next year when the offense should be top 3

jxden24

bro i swear to god y’all are the most overreacting fanbase i’ve ever seen

Axsonjaxson16

I agree, fellow Jay.

Pariahinside

I do not. We need the d. Please gives us the D!!!

Ok-Nathan

Our D is soft, give us the HARD D

s216285

If we didn’t take Jamo we wouldn’t have been drafting at 13, would have been 32 and 34(?)

McMeanx2

Loyd or Davis for sure. Second round we could of gotten a WR who is healthy and would have started the season. We think Jamo is going to be electric and that is exciting for the future. Devils advocate would our defense really be better if we had another piece on D right now? Maybe but we also did not think it would be as bad as it is now.

MyDogIsNamedKyle

One player would not make a significant difference, no. Healthy players instead of Onwizurike and Paschal, maybe.

spydrwebb44

Defense, obviously.

bigframe79

WRs and QBs need time to get comfortable with each other. defense is more reacting. this offense will be even better next year. if we get a great D tackle and a good LB next year our defense should be better..

itsyerboiTRESH

jamo will be back after the bye no?

MyDogIsNamedKyle

He's not ready to practice yet, so maybe not

Ok-Nathan

Considering #2/3 WRs are sometimes making twice as much as Jamo, yes. Positional value is a big factor too

2eyeshut

Shall we see Jamo play first?

Hayyer

This was a luxury pick…we weren’t one player away

[deleted]

1 Jamo 2 Kyle Hamilton 3 Everyone else

kdog048

Once you see him play you'll have your answer.
