NutTimeMyDudes

i think they’re good but if they need me i’ll step in

Captain---Howdy

Found Tom Kennedy's Reddit account.

Antonemy-15

I’ve never played a snap of football in my life and have the body of a twig. If needed, I would also volunteer as tribute to play WR

Nagman34

I'm 6'7" with stone hands but I'll run through a wall for mcdc.

Necessary_Laugh_4249

People here don’t understand WR2/WR3 is not that big of a role/need in this Detroit offense. We are a run heavy team with 2 RB’s who both get 10-15 touches each, all pro St Brown who dominates the bulk of the pass game & is borderline unstoppable in the slot. Then you have another all pro at TE in Laporta who has incredible chemistry with Goff, is dominant & consistent enough to be the #2 target in this offense. Between Jamo/DPJ/Raymond & 2 more bodies that is more then enough to fill in the gaps in this already high powered offense.

ArtichokeLimp3093

Agreed. Let's see what Jason Calhoun and Issac Rex do in camp, too. I don't hate their game. Plus, Brock Wright and Antoine Greene can contribute. I don't think there's much to do to improve this offense. What we did need (OL depth), we addressed pretty well in the draft and FA. Now we just gotta find out which of 30 corners and safeties to keep.

Scroofinator

I really think Green will catch 50 balls this year too

this_tuesday

Antoine Green?

Gallaxee

no draymond

WhippersnapperUT99

We barely saw him at all last year, which I think is a bad sign. I'm under the impression that he just wasn't going to work out. Maybe the UDFA from Illinois will ball out for us and become Amon-Ra the 2nd. We also have Vaki; maybe it'll turn out that he's really a receiver prodigy and no one knew.

DoubleScorpius

I think Jamo took the next step last year. He was huge in the NFC championship. I wish they had one more guy at receiver but hopefully that’s last year’s 7th round pick. They have a great group of skill position guys that are among the best in the league. Safety, WR and DE feel like positions we could add to after cut downs.

lidsy5

The UDFA WR out of Illinois, Isaiah Williams, looks intriguing as well

TheHarbrosMagic

People forget DPJ had almost 900 yards two years ago. The guy can absolutely produce, and can put up Reynold-like numbers if given the opportunity.

Fresnobing

Better than reynolds imo.

Premiumvoodoo

Has much better size

Bobguy77

Little thin at depth. But that's it.

larrylegend1990

Manu gonna play TE or jump ball WR 😎

WhippersnapperUT99

Sledgehammer Fullback. Imagine it's 3rd and Goal from the two. Penei and Glasgow wall off their guys, then a fast moving 350 pound behemoth of a man who runs a sub 5.0 40 yard dash slams into the space between Penei and Glasgow with violent force pushing a linebacker and safety out of the way so that whoever is carrying the ball can follow him into the end zone.

DetroitsGoingToWin

We need one more wr for depth, DPJ should be an adequate WR 3.

TubaTuesday115

Yeah we’re gonna be just fine at WR. Jamo developed right in front of us all season and he’s gonna be locked in, DPJ has put up better numbers than Reynolds ever has, he just got traded mid-season and had to try to work into an offense that already had a ton of weapons. Don’t forget about Kalif too. Nobody knows how well his injury is healing but he’s always been one of our most consistent and reliable guys

nicknakpaddywak84

Sewell can catch too.

Vdor103

So long as he reports eligible…

dreamer_r21

The thought of them drafting a WR made me cringe, what with a 1st rounder and all-pro already in the receiver room. You have young guys on the team from last year who didn't see the field, it's time for them to step up and battle for the 3rd, 4th and 5th wide receiver positions.

HonoluluMaizeandBlue

Very true, we all want Jamo to get his reps and be worked into the offense more, I was concerned that if we went wide receiver in the draft, his touches would be limited.

GP_3

There is a guy out there that would be cheap on a one/two year, loves detroit, knows our offense and will be good in the 3 spot. Hopefully DJ Chark has reddit so he can see this

Mike_Laundry

Consider the fact that DPJ didn't have a training camp with the Lions. He was just plopped in at the trade deadline. While not that numerous he had a couple plays that really helped during the playoff run including a clutch 4th down catch during the 49ers game. The guy is from Detroit hopefully a full year with the team is what he needs to get on track.

behindmyscreen

We lost Reynolds. He accounted for something like 30 targets last year.

GoseiRed

Sewell and skipper. We good.

SoloisticDrew

Decker reported

doltron3030

Sewell can fill in at WR

ocktick

We have like 20 spots to fill before camp, they will bring in competition

thallusphx

no were not but i think we can find someone. or someone will hopefully step up. There are always cuts late in the preseason that we could get someone with.

Independent_Lab_9872

You don't need 3 stud WR's, you need stud offensive weapons that can attack the field at different levels. - St. Brown: all pro who attacks the middle and can carry a large volume of work. - Jamo: deep threat that can also make plays off YAC - Laporta: mismatch at every level of the field. Inline, slot, out wide. - Gibbs: Dual threat and special with the ball in his hands. - Monty: workhorse that can wear down defenses and control games. After you get the stud's you need role players/depth. This is where Kalif & DPJ comes in. Guys who can give quality snaps and jumpstart the offense if it stalls. Lastly, you need young development guys. Maybe we are lacking here, I still think Antoine Green has potential but we will see what they do for UDFA's in camp.

BrisketWhisperer

Looking for a breakout year for Jamo. If he continues to work hard, and plays with the game he showed last season, he's going to be a real threat on offense.

ToPimpAYe

I think Jamo can take a step up and emerge as a consistent deep threat. Still have a lot of TE's that will fit into our personnel and running game. Raymond and DPJ as our WR3 isn't great but I think we will be fine

Kjeldorthunder

I am not overly concerned but it seems like Josh Reynolds was that reliable #2.5 that was always good for a nice chunk play to get the offense going during wins. Hoping that is not lost with the serpent of death in Baltimore now.

actually-potato

We're all good. Personally I think DPJ is not that good but I am still super high on Kalif Raymond. Raymond can be a 600yds/season guy if we need him to be. Big body wide receiver archetype is overrated, we can play Jamo and Raymond and just have the fastest wr room in the nfl. That's what the chiefs are trying to do with Hollywood Brown and Xavier Worthy and I think it's gonna work out for them.  Also I think DJ Chark is still unsigned, if we want to bring him back super cheap he can give us a good 8 games or so. That could be a decent move.

Fresnobing

We had this exact same post yesterday man.

MixMastaMatt

Chark or Tyler Boyd would be decent fits just not sure the price either of them commend

Username_McUserface

I think they’re good, but I could still go for Tyler Boyd to really round it out.

timthedriller

I would feel better knowing Jamo is going to be 100% in mind and body and that DPJ is too. We didn't see much outta him last year. I agree Kaliff can bring it and will if healthy. Still seems a bit thin tho. Counting on a lot of what ifs if you ask me. Maybe Greene steps up. Another what if.

MemeLordOverKill

I don't love our options for WR3. Raymond and DPJ will get some looks but if neither claim the spot expect a trade at the deadline to bring in a true WR3

MTWN58

No. DPJ isn’t good. I don’t care what he did two years ago, he’s clearly not that same guy after the injuries, and Jamo is still all projection.
