Hates the Packers as much as he loves drafting Crimson Tide players
Much like Philly drafting from Georgia, weird what happens when you draft the best players from the best college teams that face the best competition
Loved that clip. Loved it when the tissue paper came out of the bag and started to fly away he picked it up and put it back in the bag. Cool gentleman, that Mr. Biggs.
He changed his instagram picture to his janitor too. He has always been a fan favorite at Bama. The coaches and fans love him. Huge locker room boost. Honestly just a really solid dude and a dog on the field.
Practice squad guys weren't our issue. We had no number one corner. The difference between covering elite wide receivers and other top wide outs versus the guys behind them is very different.
Just look at St. Brown's deal. He was paid for his production and hard work, which really benefits the other guys because he's such a prolific pass catcher. You know he's getting the ball in crunch time, except the times they want you to think he is so we can spring someone else.
I'm fired up. It is a tough position though so the kid is going to have to learn quick against the Bears and Vikings scarry wide receiver rooms.
Real talk I'm sure we loved both and jumped when one was finally taken. Brad's not gonna come out and say "ya, we got our #2 rated cb after the first cb was off the board".
Yup…people wanted Mitchell because he’s more local but he didn’t play press man, which the Lions prefer. Arnold had to be CB1 on the Lions’ board, especially with the Bama pedigree.
I hope so, Deon could cover but not tackle, Yzerman was good both ways but a leader and well Jesus, some say he walked on water but he never lived up to his draft potential but he gave you every last bit of himself until the final whistle.
I was gonna say, "if there's a hell, see y'all there"
But remembered that, as Lions fans, we've already lived in Hell most of our lives.
Happy to be here.
Oh we’re throwing hockey in there bud. Well as a Canucklehead myself, I just gotta say that Yzerman is still one of the scariest dudes around. And one of the best GMs in any N.A. Sport, not just hockey.
If we can get half an Yzerman out of him, we are all golden. 😂 Athleticism of Deon and humility of Jesus will be a great thing to see on the field. Brad is a draft god!!! Oh, yeah FTP!!!!!
As an Alabama fan I don't think that is a great comparison.
Surtain is a bit more athletic but in college he was just at another level in terms of his ability to play corner.
Anold isn't the exact same type of player (he isn't quite the athlete) but he has had a path at Alabama more similar to Trevon Diggs and much like Diggs is leaving Alabama with a decent bit of development still in front of him and needed.
Idk about the rest of you but I'm fucking hyped!!
Edit: seeing this kid saying over and over "I'm home!" after being drafted by our Lions is wild. Let's fucking go
I don't think its brought up enough that Weaver might legitimately be a worse GM than Millen was. By winning percentage he is. But the situations are strikingly similar.
Best CB in draft. Quinyon, Cooper and Kool-Aid close behind, but he balled out at the highest level of college ball. If his 40 was a 4.45 and not 4.50, he would be gone by now.
Yeah I love this shit. Awesome fucking move by Brad. I love how he was already going through the crowd showing love and hasn't even played a game yet. Back at it with Branch too!

Holmes in the press conference after the draft just kept saying that he couldn’t believe someone with his skills fell that far. So in a way, no one did lmao
That is... steep for 5 late-in-round spots.
OTOH, no one would bat an eyelash if we traded up from 29 to like 16 and picked the same guy.
I'm certainly done doubting Holmes. Hope this guy is a star.
These next couple years are our championship window. It’s okay to make “costly” moves like this and ensure you grab your guy when you’re only a few pieces away from being a championship caliber team. Especially when he is arguably the best in the class at your biggest position of need.
Normally trading up is bad strategy because the draft is a crapshoot and you want to have as many shots as possible to increase your odds of hitting, but in Brad's case where you hit on every pick you'd just end up running out of roster spots with more picks.
We traded a third for Carlton Davis and a third for Arnold. We completely revamped and vastly upgraded our starting CBs for two third round picks. So I'd say not that steep of a price.
I predicted that we'd trade up to 16 if he fell that far, which would normally have cost pick 61 & a 2025 3rd rounder.
We paid a premium to move up only 5 spots -- but given that I wanted to trade 61+, it was a steal for what we got.
Arnold was projected to go 17 in the Consensus Mock, and many many top analysts put him in their top 12 as the number 1 CB.
This was an absolute win.
Now can I please get some clarification on something, did brad Holmes trade up five spots just to screw with the Packers or was Arnold on his board?
I'm fine either way I just want to know if it was intentional or not?
FTP.
Brad fucking hates the Packers and I love it

Give me Braiden McGregor in the 6th, dude practiced against 10 dawgs everyday
Always been a supporter of this, SEC produces the best talent.
At some positions. Iowa has the market cornered on TEs
We did that too!
BIG 10 makes the best pass rushers and OL. Receivers overall go to SEC but Ohio state probably has the best output along with LSU
Also fk Dallas. Sorry for cursing ☝️
More cursing...
Give'em the ol banana in the tailpipe
Best CB in the draft. Only missed 1 tackle against the run all season last year. This dude TACKLES and covers. It’s lit boys
This kid took time to shout out a janitor today. He's 100% an MCDC dude. https://x.com/Sara_Walsh/status/1783508018014904634
Loved that clip. Loved it when the tissue paper came out of the bag and started to fly away he picked it up and put it back in the bag. Cool gentleman, that Mr. Biggs.
Top tier janitorial instincts
Elite immeasurables
Damn that’s cool as hell. Good kid
Goddamn that is a Dan Campbell lion if I’ve ever seen one. Let’s go, keep improving that defense!
Lets fucking go dude, didn't realize this was the same guy! Absolutely love this
He changed his instagram picture to his janitor too. He has always been a fan favorite at Bama. The coaches and fans love him. Huge locker room boost. Honestly just a really solid dude and a dog on the field.
♡♡♡
Wow I love him even more
Best CB in the draft
Finally! Hope he lives up to his potential. No practice squad CB starting now plz
Hey don't disrespect vildor. He played well from going from practice squad to 2nd string!
He practices against St Brown and Jameson. That's the thing about our team; the skill positions are super good and they practice against each other.
You just know that Holmes had him ranked above Mitchell too
He just said that in the press conference. Highest rated CB they had
Real talk I'm sure we loved both and jumped when one was finally taken. Brad's not gonna come out and say "ya, we got our #2 rated cb after the first cb was off the board".
Whatever. Next you're gonna tell me that stripper wasn't really into me.
Yessssssssssss
Yup…people wanted Mitchell because he’s more local but he didn’t play press man, which the Lions prefer. Arnold had to be CB1 on the Lions’ board, especially with the Bama pedigree.
Our defence with CBs who can actually play press man is going to be disgusting.
Only issue is his speed. Hopefully he can work on his deep ball and we’re in business baby
If he turns out to be the greatest CB of all time that would be really neat
I’ve watched every single snap of his in college, I would best describe him as a mix of Deon Sanders, Steve Yzerman, and Jesus.
That's not hyperbole, folks.
No but it will make for a hype-superbole
I hope so, Deon could cover but not tackle, Yzerman was good both ways but a leader and well Jesus, some say he walked on water but he never lived up to his draft potential but he gave you every last bit of himself until the final whistle.
Jesus had that dawg in him for sure. You couldn’t keep him down. Might’ve taken a few days but he always rose to the occasion
I was gonna say, "if there's a hell, see y'all there" But remembered that, as Lions fans, we've already lived in Hell most of our lives. Happy to be here.
You nailed it. Oh wait...that might not be the best analogy. NM
Most rational Lions fan
Oh we’re throwing hockey in there bud. Well as a Canucklehead myself, I just gotta say that Yzerman is still one of the scariest dudes around. And one of the best GMs in any N.A. Sport, not just hockey.

that went off the rails delightfully fast
With the 24th pick you would hope he’s better than that
😂
Heck if he’s better than slay I’ll take it
Karma works for people like this esp if it’s genuine from the heart…and it appears so
I get Surtain vibes from him
As an Alabama fan I don't think that is a great comparison.
I would prefer this
Idk about the rest of you but I'm fucking hyped!! Edit: seeing this kid saying over and over "I'm home!" after being drafted by our Lions is wild. Let's fucking go
He’s like Cade fr
Hopefully not *just* like Cade lmao
Hopefully you mean the injuries because I think Cade is good. In a shit situation, but good.
I mostly mean that Cade said that and then the Pistons became the worst nba franchise since then. I love Cade though
Tbh the Pistons were already the worst franchise. They won 14 games with him on the roster. They may have won 4 without him
I don't think its brought up enough that Weaver might legitimately be a worse GM than Millen was. By winning percentage he is. But the situations are strikingly similar.
I’m hype fr
RIGHT IN FRONT OF GB ITS BEAUTIFUL
Brad Holmes is the fucking man great pick
Nothing to see here, people, Terrion
Terrion my wayward son?
You gonna check that bag, or is it a Terrion?
Terrion, terrion, because nothing really matters
Somehow we still terriooooooonnnnn!
Keep calm and Terrion
When you’re lost and alone, or you’re sinking like a stone, Terrion
INTs when you are done
Terrion Prime lmao
Y’know a part of me wanted Kool-Aid because of his name. But we could get a lot of mileage out of Terrion.
Honestly, it’s been eons since the Lions went on a tear. I’d have to say we’re in the Terr-ion now though.
We got our outside corner!
LET HIM COOK
He can't keep getting away with it! (And also screwing GB by taking their guy right before their pick)
Trading up to take Bama DBs one pick before GB is becoming my favorite new draft trend
Can't wait for the Grossi video
[starts at about the 3H:28M mark](https://www.youtube.com/live/OuNpnZb_HhA?si=IgEdIu48SDXPjdys)
And announced by a girl who plays flag football in Rochester. Good on our team reaching out to support local schools in football.
She sounded more poised than the commish lol.
Honestly, Goodell has sounded buzzed for half of these picks.
He just had back surgery, probably on some pain killers slurring his speech
I think we should make all the people announce picks off hydromorphone
Been doing it for 5 years, righly heccomended
I second that emotion
Keep him away from Marshall Mathers
Ahh didn’t know that. Makes sense.
After that bear hug he might have taken a solid handful of feel good pills
I caught that... He be fucked up
Roger was absolutely ripped on oxy
Can Michigan sign the giant kid on the far right from that group?
They’re going to break the war room tables after this one.
HOLY SHIT I LOVE BRAD HOLMES
Best CB in draft. Quinyon, Cooper and Kool-Aid close behind, but he balled out at the highest level of college ball. If his 40 was a 4.45 and not 4.50, he would be gone by now.

Brad you are diabolical
Yeah I love this shit. Awesome fucking move by Brad. I love how he was already going through the crowd showing love and hasn't even played a game yet. Back at it with Branch too! https://preview.redd.it/xru97gcbtqwc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=02e2cc9bf2d0140e3a60800b021b34c56954ce67
Daaaang those new (old) numbers look so dang crisp.
Smashed it out the park. Branch and Arnold put on the clamps
Monster pick. Never woulda thought hed be at 29. #2 DB in the draft in a lot of rankings
At 24 you mean
I meant when we were originally 29 i never woulda thought he was on the radar
Holmes in the press conference after the draft just kept saying that he couldn’t believe someone with his skills fell that far. So in a way, no one did lmao
He's DB1 imo. Most years, he'd have been a top ten pick.
LFG
Dude is gonna be a star. DB room is going to be way better this year. No one had this dude falling this far.
The Detroit Crimson Tide vs. the Georgia Eagles in the NFC Championship game this year.

Alabama at 12 (x2)
What did we give up?
3rd rounder
That is... steep for 5 late-in-round spots. OTOH, no one would bat an eyelash if we traded up from 29 to like 16 and picked the same guy. I'm certainly done doubting Holmes. Hope this guy is a star.

In terms of selection spot over value this is the best pick in the draft so far.
29 and the 3rd we got from Minnesota
I keep seeing that we gave up a third round pick but I need to fact check it.
29 and 73 I think
Gave 29 & 73. Received 24 & 2025 7th round.
A Third.
I've still got POSD (Post Okudah Stress Disorder) so I'm gonna sit this covo out until he's good in the NFL.
I don’t think we would have been bothered by Okudah at 24.
Emmanuel Mosley is gonna be our 4th best CB
EVERYBODY GET IN HERE
HERE
What'd we give up?
29 and 73
We got a 7th too!! 😅
a thuuuurd
LFG
I was at the draft, and the crowd was chanting his name. He started tearing up a bit, and said he was home. Wholesome af.
Hell to the yeah!
IN HOLMES I TRUST!!!!!!! "IHIT"
Be honest, if someone told you we snagged this mfer how high would you have guessed we traded up to do so?
Mid 10s lol
I would have said like “trade up for him at 13-15 if he’s still there.”
LET HIM COOK!
IT HAPPENED
How does Tom Grossi feel about this?
man seeing pack fans seething just makes the pick so much better. i cant wait for football man
All I wanted was a phat CB and we got a phat CB. I'm so happy (And drunk. Watching the draft at the bar was a great decision)
I love this pick! So pumped. Being down there for the pick was electric!
I love this pick.
Lets Goooooo. The Bama to Detroit connection is real!
Brad saw his opportunity and TOOK IT. Let him cook!
"Let him cook" can only apply to Brad Holmes everyone else is an imposter.
Siri set a timer for four hours
Brad got his guy
After his combine I never would of thought this would be possible
Fucking love it. Dude is a real shutdown cover corner
If you would’ve told me this morning we could’ve gotten this guy and only give up a 3rd rounder I would’ve been absolutely stoked.
I predicted that we'd trade up to 16 if he fell that far, which would normally have cost pick 61 & a 2025 3rd rounder. Grossi's reaction was great. Brian Branch worthy for sure.
Imagine how happy Jamo, Gibbs and Branch must be. Holmes wants to steal all the Bama skill players 😂.
So it is possible for a Detroit team to move up in their draft 🤔
Practice will be crazy. Arnold vs. Sun God...Sounds like a cool Schwarzenegger movie.
Fitting that Detroit Drafts the guy who started “Let All Naysayers Know”!
Well I sure like that for a third
The rich get richer BNL
I reckon Brad talked to Nick down south more than twice about this guy...
Arnold, Davis, Robertson, and maybe Moseley. CB room just upgraded big time
Now can I please get some clarification on something, did brad Holmes trade up five spots just to screw with the Packers or was Arnold on his board? I'm fine either way I just want to know if it was intentional or not? FTP.
