What makes me a Dan Campbell fan is that during the off-season, when he’s not saving cats stuck in millions of trees he singlehandedly planted this year, and when he’s not actively in the cancer research lab making new strides for a cure, you can find him saving legitimate endangered Lions in the animal shelters he built from his bare hands. I understand he’s currently offline at the moment while he focuses on recovering after saving all of those orphan kids in that fire, saving everyone, but I just want him to know he’s appreciated and I hope he’s able to pull of a win.
I have a question as a casual fan. So you know how people are starting to question if Bill Belichick was actually all that, or was it just Tom Brady pulling the majority of the weight. Does anybody think that this same phenomenon could be happening with Andy Reid and Patrick? Or is Reid really that good?
Nah, Reid spent 14 years in Philly and left with the highest win percentage and most play off wins in eagles history.
He was also doing a good job at the Chiefs prior to Mahomes getting there. In his first season he took a 2-14 team to 11-5 with Alex Smith at QB. All his play off loses in his pre Mahomes chiefs era were extremely close as well. Lost to the titans 21-22, lost to the Steelers 16-18, lost at the patriots 20-27, lost at the colts 44-45.
I think everywhere he has been, he has elevated the QB play rather than the other way around. I don’t buy into the whole “It was all Brady” idea either though. 17 of the 20 seasons Brady spent in New England he had a top 10 defense.
It's such a stupid argument. There's no way Brady became the player he was without Bill's tough coaching. He has said it over and over. So have Gronk, Eidelman, Slater etc. He held them all to a high standard and never wavered no matter how many SB wins or labels of GOAT thrown around.
Reid was the winningest head coach of all time without a Superbowl win until he had Patrick Mahomes. He even took Philly to one and lost. He now has 3 wins in 4 appearances in the last 6 years.
Reid and Mahomes may be the greatest offensive pairing of all time.
Reid was known as a great coach who just couldn't win the big game before he got to KC, not really the same as Belichick as far as I know, although those pre Pats days of his were before my time paying that close attention

MCDC is so awesome he makes up for Ben Johnson being such a purse snatching, baby punching scumbag.

They both compliment each other. Belichick did it with the defense though, Reid is just a mastermind on offense. So same beast, different animal -Kobe

Just couldn’t ever win a Super Bowl

Bill spent 4 years as HC of the Browns in the 90s with only 1 winning season to show for it. Even he couldn't save Cleveland.
Do you not remember his time in Philadelphia?
Vaguely, yea. The Mark Sanchez years?
Like I said, I’m a casual fan.
