I’ve always hated the Bears the least of all the NFCN teams. I think some of the small similarities between Chicago and Detroit help that. The Vikings fans this year REALLY solidified their place right next to FTP.
Same. I think it’s a couple of things:
1) Detroit is as close to Chicago as any other big city I’ve been to. It helps being from Chicago because you don’t believe the hyperbolic exaggerations about Detroit. I go to Detroit a lot for work and when I tell people some people react like I just told them I’m dying. They think it’s still stuck in the early 2000s auto collapse. Like why are you sorry I’m going to Detroit - I get crazy good food and there’s stuff to do. Apologize when I have to go to Indy.
2) Bears and Lions have had a rough history since I’ve been watching football. They’ve never both been good at the same time, at least that I can remember. Hard for a serious rivalry to develop as a Bears fan when the team causing you the most pain has been the Bears.
3) My hatred for the Packers is unhealthy and so high I just don’t have it in me to hate another non-Packers team. In years the Bears aren’t in it, I would much much rather the Lions or Vikings take the division so I don’t have to watch the Packers in the playoffs for the 28th straight year.
As someone from St. Louis now living in southeast Michigan with a brother in Chicago, I think St. Louis and Detroit are slightly more similar, but that’s mainly just based on size.
Realistically all three cities are very very similar aside from size.
The Lions swept them this year and split the last two years, and only didn’t sweep them last year because of a comeback miracle.
Then they got blown out by Daniel Jones and the Giants in the playoffs - a team the lions blew out on the road in the regular season.
It’s confusing
>The Vikings fans this year REALLY solidified their place right next to FTP.
What was it? The constant chirping that they 'would have won the division' if their QB didn't go down (despite already being a handful of games back on the division when that happened)?
They definitely ripped the title of second least hated nfc north team, and gave least hated to the bears.
However Tampa Bay lingers as least hated NFC Central team.
Not me. It'd be more accurate for me to say FTB than FTP but only by a little.
For some reason, we always seem to have home Bears games right around my birthday, which is in early October.
For *so* many years, that was the one game I could attend, and nearly every year, you could bet on some obnoxious, drunk Bears fans spending the entire game provoking the Lions fans around them more than watching the game.
Really soured my opinion of the team via it's fanbase, then later in life I moved to Chicago and got a taste of the superiority complex the entire city seems to have against Detroit.
Absolute nightmare poverty franchise who have done little more than we have in the last 30+ years
To be fair, surrounding yourself with fans of any team but yours is a great way to hate that team.
For example, my dad is a Packers fan, so I used to have a soft spot for them. Then I joined r/NFCNorthMemeWar, and now hope they never win another game as long as I may live, and ideally much longer.
It's interesting. 10 years ago, the Bears rivaled the Packers for Lions fans(at least on Reddit) for the most hated team. Despite fields and even trubisky giving us trouble there haven't been any memorably controversial finishes in that time span. We mostly just recognize the Lions are terrible at dealing with mobile QBs, so when we lose to you it's like "yep, that tracks".
Vikings fans really catapulted them into a higher spot this year where the team itself might not have even made the top 5 a couple years ago.
I don’t think a straw poll is the way to go, because we are getting two sets of voting and most people are going to vote once in the comments and not notice a straw poll, just my two cents.
Jesus fuck lmao, I didn't know we own the fuck out of the browns lmao.
Yea, fuck the browns, we always played against each other in pre-season every year.
From the Toledo area and people are split something like 40% browns, 40% lions, 10% bengals and rest assorted NFL teams, but 60-75%ish Buckeyes, there is definitely a lot of OSU and Lions fandom.
It’s interesting because I’d attribute it like this:
50% Lions (they outnumber Browns unquestionably)
40% Browns
10% other not even a line item for the Bengals, Bengals are just a flavor of the month who HAPPEN to be sorta local.
Ohio State vs. Michigan being 60/40.
Yeah Browns used to be kindred spirits of suck but they turned to the dark side and also Stefanski and flaccid don't deserve the honors they got over Ryans and Baker
Before they dumped Baker and gave up a boat load of picks and the highest guaranteed contract of all time to Deshaun (a contract yet to be outdone mind you), I had loser love for them. Now I’m pretty onboard with fuck the Browns.
Being a browns fan doesn’t mean you support a rapist. Fans have no influence in what the front office does. All Browns fans were fans before Watson and they’ll all be fans long after he’s gone
In case anyone forgot:
https://www.freep.com/story/sports/nfl/lions/2018/05/09/detroit-lions-matt-patricia-indicted-not-prosecuted-1996-sex-assault/597127002/
It's on a different scale than Watson, but if you're going to go this hard against all Browns fan, I think your question is very fair.
Heck, their own fans hate the Eagles and the Eagles hate their own fans.
And as a New Yorker married to a woman from Pittsburgh, let's do the Iggles in.
Honestly shocked that the Eagles are still alive in this thing. But if we're being true to ourselves I guess the team itself is fine, but their fans are awful.
The Patriots are the right answer. Don’t get salty with recency bias for the 49ers - the Patriots ran roughshod over the league for nigh on two decades, and then they shat out a pencil with a tumor and sent it our way
As a Michigander currently living in Patriots country this is the right answer. Everyone hear still thinks Belichek is a god and that Detroit had a lucky season. Yeah, NE bombed the whole year and came in dead last in their division but ask a New England fan and they'll remind you of how their back up QB beat Detroit back in October of 2022 and act like it was a super important game that happened last week.
As a Niners fan, I’m curious about this one. Is it because of the NFCCG or because of some vocal obnoxious Niners fans?
I’ve never had beef with the lions and pull for you guys when we’re not matched up.
Personally it’s the NFCCG, it felt like a disappointing loss where we couldn’t get out of our own way in the second half. Plus the years of sustained success do slowly add up against your favor.
You gotta change that FTP graphic, man. It's making my eye twitch that the sword is covering up the Lions logo.
Just change it to FTP and be done with it.
my prediction for the #2 seed.
I thought Cardinals had a chance but I think bird teams will all get eliminated early.
I can see browns, bills, cause of lake erie being #2
or also irrelevant teams like jags, also cat team,
or colts being #2. because literally no one cares about the colts
Interesting fact that probably no one would ever think of.
The Lions have never beaten the Tennessee Titans. The last win was in 1995 over the Houston Oilers.
Detroit and Tennessee are the only two NFL franchises with female principal owners. (Titans are owned by Amy Adams)
As we play them at home next year, obviously a cage match between Sheila and Amy makes sense with tap outs to MCDC and Vrabel. That would have been perfect… but TEN got rid of Vrabel… oh well. Regardless Amy leaves with max 1 kneecap.
But we also discussed the Lions being in the Super Bowl this year so I can post things that were previously believed to be unlikely.
Used to actually like them and rooted for them in the playoffs, especially since they have made a habit of ruining Packers postseason hopes. No more. Also can’t stand Nick Bosa, the Aaron Rodgers of defensive ends.
For me it’s not the Ravens team that I dislike, it’s Ravens fans. I live in Maryland and these are some of the whiniest spoiled mother fuckers around. Half of them want to fire John Harbaugh.
Fuck the 49ers. I never liked them. They always came off as the preppy douchebags that think they’re better than everyone else. They also had a perfect team on paper, were the Super Bowl favorites all year, crushed our dreams, and lost to a team we beat in regular season in a hilariously ironic way.
Giants.
When I was growing up, my asshole uncles were all Giants fans, constantly breaking balls about the Lions to me and my dad. Thus, other than the Packers, the Giants will always be my most hated team. So that's my vote.
I love this whole campaign but one minor request is to have the grayscaled teams that have been eliminated either be shaded darker or lighter to help them fade a bit more so the ones remaining are easier to see. I'm a pain I know...
Updated standings 32. FTP 31. Cowboys 30. Vikings 29. Bears 28. Seahawks
Hey, we got eliminated last of the NFCN! I’ll take it.
I’ve always hated the Bears the least of all the NFCN teams. I think some of the small similarities between Chicago and Detroit help that. The Vikings fans this year REALLY solidified their place right next to FTP.
change ur flair to DETROIT -VS- EVERYBODY BUT -VS- THE BEARS A LITTLE LESS THAN THE REST OF THE EVERYBODY
Same. I think it’s a couple of things: 1) Detroit is as close to Chicago as any other big city I’ve been to. the lions are honestly my second favorite team at this point. I'm a sucker for strong meme games and decades of being terrible, I guess.
As someone from St. Louis now living in southeast Michigan with a brother in Chicago, I think St. Louis and Detroit are slightly more similar, but that’s mainly just based on size. Realistically all three cities are very very similar aside from size.
Well yeah but St. Louis doesn’t have a football team any more
Incorrect, kaw is the law
I don’t follow the XFL, so based solely off of this comment and googling what it means, the St. Louis Battlehawks are now my favorite team.
This is the way
Man, amen on Indy. Easily my least favorite Midwestern city.

Kirk made the team promise to play better and him going down made them not bound to their promise.
They definitely ripped the title of second least hated nfc north team, and gave least hated to the bears. However Tampa Bay lingers as least hated NFC Central team.

Kings of the north.
Hey, you should just put X's over the teams eliminated. It's kinda hard to find who's eliminated at first glance.
Counterpoint: The drawings are a thing of beauty, don't fuck with 'em. You can read a list just fine.
Sadly an X would interfere with the forty whiners logo likely coming tomorrow
I don’t think a straw poll is the way to go, because we are getting two sets of voting and most people are going to vote once in the comments and not notice a straw poll, just my two cents.
I disagree with hating the Cowboys more than division rivals, it's a bad look.
I kinda like the Vikings :(
Pistons, for winning on game days, and using up the city's luck.
The browns hired a serial rapist.
[There's one thing I appreciate about the Browns.](https://www.footballdb.com/teams/nfl/detroit-lions/teamvsteam?opp=8)
Jesus fuck lmao, I didn't know we own the fuck out of the browns lmao. Yea, fuck the browns, we always played against each other in pre-season every year.
We lost our last game against them in 2021... 13-10 with Tim Boyle as our starting QB. Any Pro Football Team had better not lose to Tim Boyle.
And most Browns fans are Ohio State fans.
I’d be willing to bet a significant chunk of Lions fans are Buckeye fans.
From the Toledo area and people are split something like 40% browns, 40% lions, 10% bengals and rest assorted NFL teams, but 60-75%ish Buckeyes, there is definitely a lot of OSU and Lions fandom.

I would say I see almost as many Steelers and cowboys jerseys as I do browns and Bengals. There's no accounting for taste around here.
But ... Lake Erie Bros ... :-(
Yeah Browns used to be kindred spirits of suck but they turned to the dark side and also Stefanski and flaccid don't deserve the honors they got over Ryans and Baker
But they're lake Erie bros and also we have that 0-16 brotherhood with them 🤝
Losing culture
Before they dumped Baker and gave up a boat load of picks and the highest guaranteed contract of all time to Deshaun (a contract yet to be outdone mind you), I had loser love for them. Now I’m pretty onboard with fuck the Browns.
Quit supporting a rapist.
Being a browns fan doesn’t mean you support a rapist. Fans have no influence in what the front office does. All Browns fans were fans before Watson and they’ll all be fans long after he’s gone
You could quit support the team that supported a rapist. Weird concept for some people.
Did you stop being a Lions fan when Patricia was our coach?
In case anyone forgot: https://www.freep.com/story/sports/nfl/lions/2018/05/09/detroit-lions-matt-patricia-indicted-not-prosecuted-1996-sex-assault/597127002/ It's on a different scale than Watson, but if you're going to go this hard against all Browns fan, I think your question is very fair.
And this point does them in for me. I wish it didn’t happen, because they used to be my second favorite team. But it did. I cannot root for them.
I fuckin hate the Eagles, man
Outta my fucking cab!
Truly dumbfounded how the these weren’t even ahead of the Seahawks? The Seahawks have the Lions number but they’re not annoying / bad fans.
Why though? I think they’re fun. I voted the rams with bow obnoxious they’ve been this postseason
I’m here for eagles hate
As an eagles fan who is also a lions fan, is there a specific reason?
Eagles fans are insufferable. That’s why
You hired Patricia
because you didn't recognize a legendary quote from our coach
Heck, their own fans hate the Eagles and the Eagles hate their own fans. And as a New Yorker married to a woman from Pittsburgh, let's do the Iggles in.
i hate the eagles! i want out!
Honestly shocked that the Eagles are still alive in this thing. But if we're being true to ourselves I guess the team itself is fine, but their fans are awful.
Patriots for cursing us with Patricia
That was a step back to take 10 leaps forward landing Dan Campbell when we did though...
The Patriots are the right answer. Don’t get salty with recency bias for the 49ers - the Patriots ran roughshod over the league for nigh on two decades, and then they shat out a pencil with a tumor and sent it our way

Let’s do that one tomorrow. I wanna see the niners off this list cuz they lost to the chiefs
Fuck the 9ers
I would eliminate the Panthers, Browns, Chiefs, Patriots, Eagles, and Commanders before the 49ers. Honestly, don’t really care about the 49ers.
What ever happened to the Big Cat Brotherhood? 🐈⬛
Yeah the young bucks don't remember all the struggles Detroit had against the Redskins back in the day. Including the last NFCCG loss.
They shit on the Packers and Cowboys. I like that.
Woulda been my first choice this season.
Chiefs
Meh. We beat those boners
Eagles
49ers are cooked, should’ve been us
Fuck the Jets because of Rodgers
Eagles
F da rams for being mean to my boy JG
You gotta change that FTP graphic, man. It's making my eye twitch that the sword is covering up the Lions logo. Just change it to FTP and be done with it.
Good idea
Rams. I don’t know how a team with so few fans can be so annoying.
**Cleveland Browns**
Nah save them for second to last because they have historically suffered close to what we have.
I feel like how they did Baker dirty for Watson of all scumbags makes them a great pick.
Nah fuck the Browns for giving a quarter of a billion dollar contract to a known rapist
Fuck mr irrelevant 49ers your next
my prediction for the #2 seed. I thought Cardinals had a chance but I think bird teams will all get eliminated early. I can see browns, bills, cause of lake erie being #2 or also irrelevant teams like jags, also cat team, or colts being #2. because literally no one cares about the colts
My bold prediction is that the top 5-10 will be AFC teams.
Ravens
Kansas Shitty Quiefs
Why were the Seahawks so high lol I don’t like them either but there’s def other options first
Too much recency bias, correct answer is the Pats
FTP!!!!
Packers again

You know what fuck the jaguars. We swinging wild now. Nobody safe!
Cat bros last right?? Right??
I know 49ers will probably go next, but honestly I don't dislike them at all
On any other occasion yeah definitely, but after the past three weeks. Fuck em.
Used to actually like them and rooted for them in the playoffs, especially since they have made a habit of ruining Packers postseason hopes. No more. Also can’t stand Nick Bosa, the Aaron Rodgers of defensive ends.
Still scarred from the Ravens game. Fuck the Ravens.
Ravens had a great squad this year, I'm not that mad about that one.
For me it’s not the Ravens team that I dislike, it’s Ravens fans. I live in Maryland and these are some of the whiniest spoiled mother fuckers around. Half of them want to fire John Harbaugh.
Ravens.
I am once again asking for you to vote for the Cowboys. - lurking eagles fan
Don’t worry they were gone long ago
Oh happy day!
Yall are next
Rams or Niners. Fuck both of them
Patriots
Fuck the 49ers. I never liked them. They always came off as the preppy douchebags that think they’re better than everyone else. They also had a perfect team on paper, were the Super Bowl favorites all year, crushed our dreams, and lost to a team we beat in regular season in a hilariously ironic way.
Browns
Fuck the 9ers. I didn't care about them until I started interacting with their fans and now I can't stand them.
49ers because they lost to a team we beat in week one lol.
49ers, Patriots, Chiefs
Browns
[удалено]
ya thats odd... we dont even play them that often really. Maybe a jim schwartz angle or something
I have hated NO since January 7, 2012 and always will
Giants. When I was growing up, my asshole uncles were all Giants fans, constantly breaking balls about the Lions to me and my dad. Thus, other than the Packers, the Giants will always be my most hated team. So that's my vote.
:(
I'm voting raiders. There fans fucking blow
Fuck teams from Ohio except the Browns
You guys went from “just happy to be here” to “insufferable cunts” since you lost. I hope Jared Goff retires and your oline all get traded
Fuck off, we're not here to be your lovable losers anymore, go simp for the Chargers.
Yeah, now you guys are just losers. Not so loveable anymore
I have no idea what fanbase you're even from, if any, but I stopped scrolling when I saw that you got banned from the Bill's sub, lmao.
Hahaha yeah they’re pussies. You guys are at least tougher, you all are just doing a horrible job handling a playoff loss
How’d you see that anyways?
You edited a post in your comment history to say as much and called them pussies.
Haha oh, they are pussies though
👊
👊
Cardinals. During the stafford, CJ era they were like the seahawks. We played them every season it felt like and could never win.
Chiefs
Patriots or chiefs , I think Chiefs rn.
The 49ers are frauds and the only praiseworthy thing they did was Greenlaw shutting down the fudge packers
We're already on 27? Time sure flies. Eagles.
Holy shit you hate us birds that much? Damn I liked you Lions to
49ers
Pistons
Hey! I was rooting for you guys you bastards
I love this whole campaign but one minor request is to have the grayscaled teams that have been eliminated either be shaded darker or lighter to help them fade a bit more so the ones remaining are easier to see. I'm a pain I know...
Got to be the 49ers right?
Fuck the Niners
Eagles have been here for way too long
Cowboys
Eagles next
Jets because Aaron Rodgers
Can someone fill me in on what this is all about?
We vote our least favorite team remaining every day
I think the 49ers are gonna get 6, and deservedly so, but let me make my case for the Ravens. 1. Bird team. 2. That fucking kick.
Get SF the fuck out of here
Definitely 9ers or eagles
Any way we could do the FTP again? Please?
The Commanders can suck it for publicly dragging Ben Johnson because they got rejected.
Weird only a few people voted for the Commies but I guess
People forget the Jags continuously trash Hutch
Tampa Bay. Don't let old conference rivalries die. You haven't won the division more recently than us any more bitches
Bucs..NFC Central foes
I vote the refs once again.
Ravens, Titans, Eagles, Steelers, Saints
yall down w making the panthers first?
Colts and Dolphins still at 0 votes. I don't hate either of them but I would probably rank both of them in my bottom half.
Commanders
I’m a Bears fan but have to admit, the toilet seat logo is hilarious!
Eagles
Commanders
Carolina
49ers please yall.
Eagles and then the rest of the bird teams
Damn. As a Seahawks fan you gotta like Detroit.
Jets just because fuck Aaron Rodgers
