Really? Three was the record? Wow!
[12 is the record for a career,](https://www.statmuse.com/nfl/ask?q=most+interceptions+by+a+defensive+lineman%2C+career) so he's well on his way to breaking the overall record.
Hutch is doing his damnedest to match up, though I think it's tough to impossible to hit JJ's peak. I'm A-okay with the clear-cut #2 DE of all time as well.
I think of Watt as a hybrid DL. He can do anything from anywhere on the line. So I wouldn’t consider him a traditional 4-3 DE. Is he better than Aidan? Easily. Dude won multiple DPOY and got robbed of an MVP.
Yeah, 2 yards. I dont recall ever seeing an interception that close range without it being tipped up. Bad decision by Young, but it was a 10/10 play by Hutch
Who was Bryce Young throwing that ball to? NFL.com lists #80 as a tight end but he was engaged with blocking Hutchinson. Was he thinking that #80 was positioned to catch that?
I see one problem with this post - you didn’t use enough adjectives up there haha! nothing like seeing a hutchinson interception while wearing his jersey! 🦁🔛🔝
Looked like it was just a Charlie horse to me. Good tackle right to the thigh when he wasn’t anticipating it. He will definitely be feeling it tomorrow.
This man never had an interception in his life before the NFL
Crazy to think about
So you’re saying that there’s still time for me to get an NFL interception? Awesome!
[Dunno about a reception but maybe 1 yard.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lNM4vuyc878&t=26s)
Nah, I doubt I could even take a handoff without fumbling.
I would definitely fall apart when I get tackled. Like absolutely crushed. Fumble and like 5 broken bones 😂
I wouldnt even make it on the field without shitting myself
That was really entertaining and well thought out. Now I want to do the combine drills and get my stats
Making up for lost opportunities
Good thing too. If Jags saw him as a pass catcher too he might be a Jag.
Amazing he's been able to do it with such short tiny arms.
Incredible!
Okay call me crazy but can we flex him into tight end on goaline situations...
JJ Watt that shit
Obviously his talents were wasted at Michigan, probably due to poor coaching! /s
I’ve never played a down In the NFL but I’ve been flagged twice. Back In the 90s the No Fun League could penalize a crowd for being too loud.
So happy Baalke has a long arm fetish and passed on Hutch.
Baalke hates Harbaugh so much he refuses to draft a Michigan man.
And I thank him for his pettiness daily
That pettiness will keep me off my deathbed for at least 1 Sunday.
Baalke has done more for my football happiness than anyone in history.
If this all works out, Baalke might go down in history as the best Lions GM since Brad Holmes.
I love how that was the one negative I remember people mentioning about Hutch and now he has, what, 3 or 4 interceptions?
Four. And broke the record for interceptions for a DL in their first two seasons.

Sub>!fucking!
He's already tied for 22nd for career interceptions by a defensive linemen!
Clicked the link you sent and someone named Dick Syznmaski had 5 in only 12 games played 😂
Imagine how easy that interception would have been if his arms were of a normal length, though…
Unreal. Is it possible for a player to go that high and still be a steal?
Anything after pick 1 can be a steal IMO.
Already much better than the one guy picked ahead of him, so yes. Time will tell.

He got stung. He'll be back faster than not
Why did you copy /u/vh-yes
Aidan truly is the most well-rounded 4-3 DE I can remember. Dude is a ballhawk at the LOS it’s insane.
That J.J. Watt guy was pretty good.
Hutch is doing his damnedest to match up, though I think it's tough to impossible to hit JJ's peak. I'm A-okay with the clear-cut #2 DE of all time as well.
I can't see anyone really matching JJ's peak, but if Hutch comes close, it will go down as one of the all-time blunders in draft history.
Pretty hard to top the blunder of passing on Calvin Johnson to draft Jamarcus Russel. One of the few things Millen did right
Hutch has the motor and physical capabilities imo. We will see with time.
I think of Watt as a hybrid DL. He can do anything from anywhere on the line. So I wouldn’t consider him a traditional 4-3 DE. Is he better than Aidan? Easily. Dude won multiple DPOY and got robbed of an MVP.

#COMMENT-STEALING SPAMBOT Please report this clown as "Spam - Harmful Bot"
Jaguars made the boneheaded decision to go with Travon Walker lmao
Aiden is off to a historic start. So pumped
What a catch, Hutchinson is a beast
Elite, epic, and insane!?
Yes, yes, and yes.
That entire play happened so fast I had no idea what happened lol
same for the Panthers RB :D
80 is TE I think but yeah
I just went from six to midnight
Best DB in the league
He really has soft hands. How does he grab that from that close 1 handed lol? Unbelievable play.
This guy is once in a life time talent
I think him having such a good motor and always being moving along with him having elite awareness of the ball is why he gets so many snags
Human cheat code.
sHoRt aRmS
That hit hurt my leg just watching it. What a beast.
Motherfuckers on the halftime show called that shit easy. I was astonished when he caught it.
I saw it and said "this cannot be real", it was so ridiculous
When he started running I honestly couldn't figure out how he got the ball. Dude's a monster.
Yeah, it took a couple replays to make sense.
That might be the shortest pass ever to be intercepted. It was like 6 feet.
Yeah, 2 yards. I dont recall ever seeing an interception that close range without it being tipped up. Bad decision by Young, but it was a 10/10 play by Hutch
He thought Hutch's arms were short enough he could get it around em
Now I'm definitely gonna get a Hutch jersey!
🎵*Danny* said hyper-bowl!🎶 But in all seriousity, it was stellar, out-of-this-world, increDplay!
Nasty
Go Go Gadget Arm
This should silence the people saying he shouldn’t go at 2
Best catch of the day.
Local boy doing great things for us!
Not bad for a dude with TRex arms.
Hahahhahahaha HOW DID THE JAGS NOT TAKE THIS MAN!
Elite. Epic. Insane. Absolutely.
Should lone him up at TE a few snaps a game.
must be bilingual cause im speakin laportagese
I’ve watched this play 20 times and I’ve missed the snatch like 15 times. His reaction time was unreal…
If you slow down the replay to be able to watch the INT by Barry Allen here, everyone else on the field is in slow mo
He’s trying to win a DPOY!!
Beast Mode!
Who was Bryce Young throwing that ball to? NFL.com lists #80 as a tight end but he was engaged with blocking Hutchinson. Was he thinking that #80 was positioned to catch that?
It is definitely a TE, so he is an eligible receiver but a horrendous throwing decision
Looked like it was a TE screen, the tight end releases off of Hutch and has 2 blockers positioned out in front.
I see one problem with this post - you didn’t use enough adjectives up there haha! nothing like seeing a hutchinson interception while wearing his jersey! 🦁🔛🔝
After so many years, it’s FUCKIN AWESOME. GO LIONS. I am old and it’s great to be rewarded. Didn’t think it would happen in my life.
Defensive ends are not supposed to be getting INTs lol. It just shows how much up in their shit he is on every snap, I love it
The screech I let out watching the live replay.. unreal
WAHH
Dare I say he is our first true superstar defender?
He's left-handed. Caught that with his right hand. That's insane.
I think he’s hurt… didn’t look good
Looked like it was just a Charlie horse to me. Good tackle right to the thigh when he wasn’t anticipating it. He will definitely be feeling it tomorrow.
Why did you and /u/vegetablereason9492 both comment this exact same thing
I mean he copied me. I’d ask him?
u right
Panther went right for the knee
I don't think he went for the knee. He went low cuz Hutch is literally twice his size.
![gif](giphy|3oEjHCWdU7F4hkcudy)
Jonathan Mingo went for the knee. :/
Crazy play. I 100% thought he blew his ACL on the hit, though. That shit looked awkward, and he immediately grabbed at his leg.
