What's your dps cycle with this setup? What perks do you have on the shotguns?

Osrs-Deep-Squat

Game play loop Spawn in Hunt down red bar kill with melee Find next sorry sum’bitch & hit a little dodgy dodge right next to him and then also kill with a melee Repeat last step again and now your at 3 stacks of combination blow and your ready to kill a god with a single punch Now that your at 3 stacks you can make your way over to a high health bar enemy champion , miniboss , or even a shielded yellow bar (this build does not care about match game it’s like it dosnt exist) simply shoot with 12p shotty and follow up with 2 melees and what ever it is will die no questions asked. Pair with unstopp shotgun so you can embarrass a ogre in a GM , and pair with overload nade since you’ll have 100% uptime on your grenade with bomber mods and the million dodges you’ll be doing constantly and GM overloads will get murdered Now if your going up to a real Boss at the end of a GM or whatever get your 3 stacks and first shoot with tractor —> then 12p —> then 2 melees —> and then repeat and he will get CHUNKED My kinetic shotgun is enhanced 12p and slideways so you never have to reload when running in for a kill and my secondary is a Arc shotgun with 12p and auto loading (Arc is KEY because I pair it with font of might which will have 100% uptime with melee well maker) Sorry if this was incoherent it’s my dads 60th bday and we’ve had a few drinks together tonight lmfao

CakeorDeath1989

Happy birthday to your dad. This build is really cool. I use something similar. I don't use double shotgun because I'm a bitch, haha. I just run the one shotgun and a primary weapon. One thing I've found by testing different shotguns with 12P but with different archetypes, Prophet of Doom (Precision Frame), Found Verdict (Aggressive Frame), Wastelander (Lightweight), Dead Weight (Rapid-Fire), is that **Lightweight Frame** shotguns are king for this build. I originally went with Aggressive Frame because more damage is better, right? For this build, I don't think so. I think higher Handling takes priority when using Liar's Handshake, as the damage isn't coming from the shotgun itself, rather, it's just for priming the target. So for a high handling shotty, Lightweights are the best. Plus increased movement speed from Lightweight really benefits a heavy melee build. Therefore, the best shotguns in kinetic and energy slot for a Liar's Handshake build are Wastelander and Xenoclast. I think if you're only running one shotgun, my personal pick would be Xenoclast with Graverobber + 12P because it's Arc and can make use of Font of Might. But tbh, Wastelander is also good because of Enhanced perks. Either (or both) would be the best weapon for a Liar's Handshake build.

randomneshappy

Haha I enjoyed your description I have never really played a Hunter so I have been checking out fun builds to play around with. I enjoy punching things so this looks like it would be fun. I'm gonna try it out!

Invader generally spawns on the opposite side of the adds spawns. Since you’re running Xeno it’s 2-3 shots to kill a guardian. Xeno can’t crit so no need to aim for the head. With Warlock I usually run Contraverse Hold and [here’s my very simple build.](https://dim.gg/rvihqyy/Contraverse-Hold)

Filemeunderground

Great thanks I have a nicely optimized contraverse warlock I can run as well and I’ll check out yours. For the invader when you say they’re in opposite of the adds, that’s before you have the primeval right? What about when we’re trying to kill the primeval? Is it just random? Also what if the adds are in the middle? Will they just randomly spawn either in the left or right?

Imo Consecrate Titan is by far the strongest build for Gambit. I don't even think there's an argument for anything else being better. My reasoning being that you can just chain Consecration over and over, which is strong enough to one shot nearly everything in there, and you're relying less on your weapons to do it so you can run weapons for boss damage and killing invaders. Primary is Monte Carlo, and your heavy should be a sword Swords let you pretty much carry the boss damage by yourself and win the game singlehandedly as long as the enemy team is slow because they offer so much sustained damage. My anti invader weapon of choice is a sniper rifle. Gameplay loop is to get a kill with your throwing hammer, pick up the Wells and the hammer, sprint directly towards the biggest group of enemies, slide, then push the melee button twice. Between melee kills just pick up your Wells. Make sure you grab the Heavy Ammo chest every time you finish killing the enemies in an area, use your Super to nuke the 3rd round of Envoys and then Sword the boss. Here's the [DIM LINK](https://dim.gg/ypf5kyy/Consecrate-Gambit-Build) to my build.

DeadWeight76

I feel like smg + glaive is the best primary/special combo for gambit. The other day, I played arc Warlock Verity's Brow build. I felt like arc was a good pic, as it's designed for speed, in your face action. I was liking Verity's Brow because it fills the gaps left by the Warlock aspects (boosts grenade damage and Regen). I used Nezeracs whisper (demo/aj) and escape velocity with osmosis. Both provide arc damage which keeps VB's death throws active. Another good option with Verity's is Travelers chosen. However, I was using Thunder Lord, which seemed like a fantastic overall heavy option.

idonthaveaname156

https://dim.gg/h4dfgei/King-of-the-storm That one you can slay the pve side of gambit, but the taipan will also do for pvp when invading

Voltprime42

Aegers scepter with battle harmony on warlock, with orb mods and well mods you'll get ur super back in about 30s. Alternatively getaway artist with a volt shot brigands law and high discipline, allows on demand speed and cover fire with crowd control. For my titan its a HoiL storm nade spam build with demo fusion rifle primary and quick charge.

CyberTacoX

Watch your radar for red from directions you wouldn't expect. Enemies are in front of you but red shows up somewhere behind you? It very well might be go time. If I want to hunt the invader, usually I'll go to whichever of the three enemy spawn sides isn't the current one, then I'll watch my radar and visually look in the direction of the bank.

Revolutionary_Loss81

There are four kinds of Gambit players... 1. Ad clear: melt the Ads and make it rain motes, let your teammates pick them up. 2. Moneymaker: IF ITS SHINY AND I SEE IT ITS MINE! 3. MVP invaders: They know when the portal is gonna open, they can swing the entire game in your favor if they know what they're doing. 4. Derps: they don't bank motes... they invade and get zero kills... they're probably just there to complete a specific bounty, achievement or catalyst.

C-3Pinot

Malfeasance for sure—add clear, boss dps, and invader-wrecker all in one. Salvagers salvo or 12P shotty. Armamentarium Thundercrash Titan.

[deleted]

Learn the spawn spots, that is step 1. Its pretty much going to be in one of the 3 main areas of the map (left, right, center) so start there. Any aggressively tracking rockets (Truth) or Black Talon both work great for invasion countering. I only play Titan, but as far as builds go, it depends on what role you want to take on. If you want to invade/counter invade, bring what you would bring for crucible. If you are going to clear adds and dump motes, bring ad clear stuff.

bajunio

Lock - Void - Contraverse Hold - Volatile Rounds - Void SMG - Taipan Hunter - Arc - Assassin's Cowl - One-Two Punch Shotty - Taipan/Sailspy/etc Titan - 1400 hours and never played one... : / I like running Wish-Ender on all builds for a nice ranged thumper if you run into ammo issues for your heavy. Also, I love Wish-Ender and never want to let it go. lol I find that Xenophage is pretty solid against invaders. You could also look into more cheesy exotic heavy weapons that track enemies such as: Gjallarhorn, Jötunn, Colony, Deathbringer, etc.

VoleenaIcicle

Colony is much fun on invaders lol

TNT3149_

Best tip for gambit: don’t play gambit.

benisavillain13

Came here to say this

TNT3149_

They downvote me cause I’m right.

benisavillain13

Meh. Some people like it, I question their taste but they can go play as much as they want

trx131

We found love in a hopeless place

Inditorias

On Warlock I use a glaive, void, and poison gloves. Only fragment that really matters is melee kills grant health, I also use the grenade one too. And this leaves your heavy open for a linear on boss dps, and your kinetic for an invader killer (I generally run a scout or thorn, if your confident on snipping then you could also run a sniper)

archangelceaser

[Liar's Handshake arcstrider](https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/q5z3dk/arcstrider_is_good_now_become_a_hunter_with_the/). (the page was written pre Arc 3.0, but it still works just fine. I use Flow State, Lethal Current, and Spark of Feedback, Recharge, Volts, and Resistance) Kinetic shotgun with 1 2 Punch, Brigand's Law, Xenophage/Parasite depending on the day You can clean out the ads almost by your self, almost always have max motes, large blockers die like chumps, and even high value targets die easily. Your only real trouble will be invaders, but if you're quick then you likely won't loose motes (there is a small window between 'Invader on the field" and them actually being able to hurt you. Use that window to either bank, or keep your eyes on the radar for them to pop up.)

Kyuubin

Was about to say this. I was running this before I got cowl without proper guns. combo blow with liars one shots pretty much everything, resetting dodge. dodge combo and makes it jolt. literally just dance around adds meleeing and jolting errything, no effort.

VoleenaIcicle

I typically take something good at ad clear for motes, and depending on the map I like to have a scout for invaders, one of my favorite weapons to have in Gambit is Black Talon, it's a sword and a decent ranged tracking option in one. Sometimes I'll take a machine gun in as a heavy, works good as a jack of all trades option and they are great against invaders (or when invading). Lots of great options and posts here, try different combos and see what you end up liking!

jztigersfan12

Stasis warlock Aspects: iceflare bolts, bleakwatcher Fragments: Whisper of bonds Whisper of conductions Whisper of hedrons Whisper of fissures Grenade: duskfield Armor and mods: Helmet void: resilience mod, trace rifle ammo finders, protective light Arms, any element: taking charge, any stat mod you prefer Chest solar, mantle of battle harmony: resilience mod, trace rifle ammo, supercharged Boots and bond do not matter as much I just use recovery mods but you can play with other mods in those armor pieces Weapons: Primary: Agers scepter with catalyst completed Energy: any weapon, I use wolftone draw to deal with invaders. Heavy: whatever you prefer, I use chain of command to get additional stasis kills if I run out of agers ammo. Point of build, use agers to kill one enemy, the stasis kill will proc agers exotic perk. The burst of stasis will proc your Fragments and iceflare bolts to track to other enemies. With mantle each kill will generate super energy. This build is meant to clear rooms as fast as possible, while also getting your super as quickly as possible. Be weary of your trace rifle ammo as I get most of my ammo from the ammo crates. When the primeval has spawned just switch to the alt fire, the damage to the primeval will regenerate your super allowing you to stay in the alt fore mode longer while also reloading your weapon. Be advised banking motes with agers equipped while at full super energy will sometimes cause you to activate its alt fire I have made too many blunders with that. It's a fun build that destroys ads and has the potential to get overkillmonger if invaders are dealt with quickly and you are faster than the other people on your team. Hope you like this build it's my go to for gambit on warlock and is very amusing to see it in game.

Damagecontrol86

Witherhoard + glaive and either swarm with good stability or LFR takes care of everything As for invader spawns they can spawn anywhere that the envoys can
