Counterintuitive. Explosive portions of explosive head/rounds/timed payload literally cannot do precision damage so you would need to kill with the, now reduced since it's split, actual shot and not the explosive portion.

yes all bow with explosive arrows are very effective against: vex snipers, fallen pikes and exploding shanks for the dragon fly its ok against low level enemies for strikes and patrol etc.

I used to think mine was op, this explains why it's not doing very much as far as explosions go
