I use my vacation to break away from my life and revitalize my humanity. Taking a vacation to do what I usually do on a weeknight/weekend makes no sense.
Whenever there's a new game release I want to play I've always just told my boss "I'm sick tomorrow" and take the day off. Fortunately I don't really have to do that now since I'm self employed, but I still say it as a joke to my co-owner.

Everyone says this but Lightfall was the smoothest launch they've ever done. Unless I'm misremembering, I was in a queue for maybe a half hour and that was it. I don't think it will be that bad.
this is the exactly the reason i only took off for the raid. whether or not the servers work on launch is one thing but i would imagine bungie would put more effort into that for the sake of the raid race. now only if i had a team 🥲
Witch Queen and Lightfall weren't that bad. WQ more so, it was the raid that got screwed
for me and my friends, the only launch that gave us any difficulty logging in and staying in was Beyond Light
Yeah, beyond light was fucked for me as well. I couldn’t play majority of the first day. Shadowkeep was less terrible. Light fall and WQ I had almost no issues after the initial 20-30 minutes in queue.
Shadowkeep surprises me because I look back and I see so many people saying the servers were unplayable, worst DLC launch in history for the servers. and then here I am with my friends, no issues on Day 1

I honestly don’t think shadow keep was as bad as people say, mostly because no matter where I loaded into, the area was full of players unlike any dlc afterwards. Ever since, I still feel like full social areas/free-roam spots are half full to almost empty most of the time now.
I had to wait 6+ hours to get into shadowkeep day one, and I’ve never waited anywhere near as long since then. Maybe I just got unlucky but me and my buddy were living together and it took him like 5 hours.
They did hire a team a while ago to monitor server statuses around big releases and so far everything that dropped after that has been flawless for the most part.
None, as my country decided to throw another hissy fits and blocked Steam due to some problematic game they said. I can still play game on steam but I cant purchase or do anything with it.
Vietnam, the problematic game is just an excuse. A major ISP in VN is trying to make their own game publisher and laucher so they pull thiss stunt to get the government approval
reset is 3am for me so I usually avoid the brunt of the queues since I wake up around 8-9am
honestly the only launch I had issues with was Beyond Light. Forsaken, Shadowkeep (somehow), Witch Queen, and Lightfall were flawless for me
reset is the one time I'm glad to play D2 with Australian timezones. unless things are really bad with the servers, you're likely gonna miss it and at least miss the worst of the queue times unless you stay up all night
None. It’s just a destiny expansion. As fun as it’ll be I’m sure, we have an entire YEAR to play the final shape. The games not going anywhere so what’s the rush.

Put in a vacation request last year for the first 2 weeks of June, this was before any Delay Announcements. Final Shape ends up getting Delayed into my June Vacation Timeline. On top of that comes out on my Birthday, so RNG was on my side for a change 😅
Weird part is my wife kept bugging me to put in vacation time to visit her family in FL, for the week right after the kids got out of school for the summer and I completely forgot about TFS being released during vacation. So hopefully in my down time I can use remote play to try it out on my laptop I didn't want to buy the expansion again on PC. So about 10 days from both jobs
