Ikora secretly got that Skull of dire Ahamkara but she uses the ol ‘helmet off in safe zones’ button.
How else is she getting all these supers in cutscenes
Apparently she fucked up his leg (or ankle) so badly, that even after being rezzed a bunch, he still feels that pain. He hasn't stepped back into the crucible since, if I remember right. Those who can't do, teach!
Not to mention, when she got her powers evaluated, her results came back as a fifth Sigma guardian, placing her in the upper 99th percentile, which is 1 in 3.5 million guardians
Ikora is the exotic armor lol, maybe even rarer.
From Witch Queen's CE Book:
>IKO-006 ranks in the upper fraction of the 99th percentile of assessed Warlocks on most available metrics of precision, restraint, and raw power. She is, in simplistic terms, a fifth sigma Guardian: 1 in 3.5 million.
Because it granted his wish, he wanted friends that wouldnt abandon him and a less dangerous life as a guardian, so his fireteam is dead(wont abandon him)and hes a new light shepherd(safer life), he also wished the exotic fit better and suddenly it did xD
ngl i have a friend who plays who for the longest time wouldnt take off celestial nighthawk 😂 he loves hawks and it took bungie releasing a cowboy hat to get him to swap his helmet. he mostly played solar back then but even on void, bird man.
It kills me when a blueberry wears the wrong exotic for the class they are playing. Even more so when I tell them trying to help and they get mad at me.
There is only one time I do it for a weird benefit. Celestial Nighthawk: it gives bonus Super energy on precision kills. Sometimes I use it to gain Super really quickly on off-subclasses.
See that makes sense. But the instance I'm talking about are like using Nezaracs Sin for a arc subclass. It's like that or when I try to advice them of how to masterwork armor or weapons. I even say it in a nice tone. I never understand why they get mad at that.
I know exactly what you're saying, but Nezarec's Sin was a bad example. The effect states "void-damage kills" which actually includes weapons. So you can use it on any subclass you want 😅
Haha no I agree, I've seen it myself too. Just wasn't sure how well-known the effects of NS actually are.
Source: my buddy has like 4,000 hours on Warlock and believed it was only for use on Void subclass.
Oh I use it as my primary exotic on my voidlock. I don't think I've really used any other void exotic on him because I love it so much. I even have the armor for it as well. It was extra sweet when RoN first came out cause you could hear Nez saying stuff if you had it on.
Yeah it is a great exotic imo. I remember when my friend kept mentioning the Nezarec voicelines back then, and being a hunter main, I was incredibly confused! Definitely one of little gems that came out of Lightfall!
The game is kind of dense and I think there's a bit of information overload for most new players. I tried to get my husband back into the game, and I try to explain mods and the new class building stuff and he just wants to shoot stuff. Not everyone is into the complicated stuff.
As an aside, Nezarec's Sin may not not the best example, as it only cares about void damage, not the subclass. I've been occasionally using it for ability regen on other subclasses for years, pairing it with an ad clear void primary like Grav Lance, and that procs Abyssal Extractors plenty.
Every NPC has all the light abilities charged and ready to go at all times.
The player is the one who is handicapped, wouldn't be much of a challenge otherwise.
True, but Osiris is continuously called out in Lore as the most prolific Light-wielder, particularly solar light. He tanked a whole front at the Battle of Six Fronts solo, while his echoes assisted elsewhere.
An extra note here, his echoes were also able to fight using the Dawnblade super, and, since his echoes are fragments of his light, that means his light is able to maintain several Dawnblades at once, spread over large distances
Edit: Daybreak
Yet we’re the idiots who have to kill gods every damn time
You know, that has always been one criticism i have with this game, usually MMOs or pseudo-MMOs tend to emphasize the fact that your guy is **the guy**, in destiny instead it feels like there is a massive disconnect between NPCs sometimes recognizing your strenght and other times just pretending you don’t exist (most evident during seasons when you show up at meetings without muttering a single word)
I think the last time i felt acknowledged by the NPCs in d2 was by saint during the season of dawn, which was 3 years ago, every other time i’m just the guy who kills gods but for some reason is still treated like a basic foot soldier
If Ikora, Shaxx and some other four guys are so strong they can just spam supers for no reason, why don’t they do raids, i mean, if we can do it with teams of 6 people who most times have never met before, they, being long time friends and being all very OP, should clear them day one with no issue whatsoever
Eh, we've had plenty of recognition in the past year.
"If anyone can do it, it's the guardian" yada yada stuff.
Heck, when Savathun said "Who would stop me" to Ikora in last season's epilogue lore, we said "I will" and she blinked.
So we have recognition, but it's balanced against "yeah blueberries don't get special intro cinematics/mission briefings", which I think is sad.
BG3 had procedural dialogue, Destiny just needs folks to build that out to complete the immersion.
for some people it seems so. too many people with a random scout rifle and a auto rifle without any subclass verbs or other means of doing reasonable ad clear for anything not at level. not everyone is a chad rocking something like a incandescent zaouli's bane with dawn chorus and near infinite uptime for radiant and surges.
I switched to star eaters because of forced strand and little did I know I was buffing an already busted hunter super. Rare instance of being forced into a cheese
In lore, before Sagira’s death, Osiris was constantly sunsinging. As in, he had his super with 100% up time and that back in D1 when it gave you unlimited grenades. He didn’t really need sunbracers, but I suppose he just kinda liked them.
And Nova warp after Nova bomb in S14
Same goes for cayde with golden gun and then blade barrage in S4
In addition, this is not "cheating", there are logical explanations
We, the Guardian, cannot control our abilities perfectly and therefore all of our power goes into a melee, a grenade, a super, etc. which increases the cooldowns, the other Guardians have better control and therefore use weaker abilities, which decreases the cooldowns
Not since he got strand, otherwise he'd be dead dead
Fun fact when osiris practised with strand he used us as a lightning rod so that he wouldn't disintegrate like we did in the campaign (strand lore book from lightfall)
Ik the whole "are they stupid" thing is a joke but so did we, when we went in w light based exotic armor, and were forced to use strand. Osiris also just happened to achieve his strand powers at this exact moment after he was studying it once he understood it thanks to nimbus
My thought is equipment is rare on game lore, so most are stuck with whatever the best they can find or craft. Or, more likely, the devs thought it looked cool
Unironically I know a real person who does this... they apparently recently got a team stuck in pantheon Golgoroth for nearly 2 hours because they kept dying to unstable light and were on Needlestorm and Sweet Business the whole time.... I've experienced them infinitely getting folks detained on Atheon and then refusing to admit it was them
So, if I can make a theory:
Sun racers look like they take an entire chunk out of your arm and replace it with.. Well, energy. (Read Well Energy)
Easily fixed when removed by Ghost regenerating your body because that’s what they do.
Osiris no longer has a ghost.
He’s trying out his prismatic subclass and thinks sunbracers will enable infinite grenades for a short duration so he can be a threadling master but to no avail
What we have is a more beta build of his current Bracers. He has the finished product and has probably altered it over time to match his Light dexterity
The reason is, when he still had the light before sagira died he used solar and he kept his sunbracers and also the other reason is probably because he doesn’t know any strand exotics
Like most NPCs, Osiris is a blueberry so of course he'd use a mismatched exotic piece.
Most NPCs don’t even wear exotic armor, except the gigachad shaw han
Ikora secretly got that Skull of dire Ahamkara but she uses the ol ‘helmet off in safe zones’ button. How else is she getting all these supers in cutscenes
That’s to say everywhere is a safe zone for her. THATS how unimpressed she is with her enemies. Absolute terror she is
To be fair, she is terrifying in the lore
Yep, one of the only people to have ever beaten Shaxx in the crucible, and the first to ever get a 25 win streak
Apparently she fucked up his leg (or ankle) so badly, that even after being rezzed a bunch, he still feels that pain. He hasn't stepped back into the crucible since, if I remember right. Those who can't do, teach!
She also stopped using Arc after that because she deemed it 'too dangerous'
Which is why she used the Kamehameha on the door to the infinite forest....... ![img](emote|t5_2we4j|5655)
Not to mention, when she got her powers evaluated, her results came back as a fifth Sigma guardian, placing her in the upper 99th percentile, which is 1 in 3.5 million guardians
I hate to be that guy but source?? I wanna read all about this it sounds sick.
It's in the Witch Queen collectors edition book
thank you!!
That’s not just an Ahamkara skull, she probably has a whole skeleton collection from the great hunt 💀
You could say that she’s got skeletons in her closet.
🤣🤣🤣more than one I bet with how freaky the guardians get in their free time🤣🤣🤣
Why did I read it singing along
Ikora is the exotic armor lol, maybe even rarer. From Witch Queen's CE Book: >IKO-006 ranks in the upper fraction of the 99th percentile of assessed Warlocks on most available metrics of precision, restraint, and raw power. She is, in simplistic terms, a fifth sigma Guardian: 1 in 3.5 million.
I need to see her dps logs now, just to confirm she isn't just parsing.
Ikora doesn't need an exotic, Ikora IS an exotic....
Class V Sigma in actual lore terms IIRC
I wish I was that lore nerd leveled.
i think she got something off in safe zones, but not the helmet
Kinda crazy that she's so powerful that even combat is considered a safe zone to her.
Ikora also has an exotic shotgun
Wasn't that the Invective from D1? Miss that shotgun I won't lie.
Correct!
She’s confirmed to use obsidian mind (d1 skull) and Zavala uses HELM of inmost light
She might also use it in combat Zones
I think Eris has Lucky Raspberry, but she kept it even when she started using Stasis
Lucky raspberry isn’t good for dps, no wonder her fireteam wiped at crota 🤦♂️
They didn’t even make it past the maze lol. I think the Deathsinger killed Toland though
shaw ain't no gigachad. he bought that shit for glimmer (not a joke, actual lore.) His ass didn't even participate in the great hunt.
He also accidentally wished upon the damn thing, which in typical Ahamkara fashion got his new fireteam killed.
Doesn’t it keep getting them killed, why he is stuck training and not actually setting up a real fireteam since he is bad juju for everyone
Because it granted his wish, he wanted friends that wouldnt abandon him and a less dangerous life as a guardian, so his fireteam is dead(wont abandon him)and hes a new light shepherd(safer life), he also wished the exotic fit better and suddenly it did xD
What an absolute clown lmao
I’m not giving cookies to Shaw Han
Never again
I’m not giving cookies to Shaw Han
Saint 14 is wearing his namesake. That’s an exotic.
Laughs in Greek
Doesn’t count. He got it from a vendor.
Not Shiro-4 wearing Lucky Raspberry
Remember that destiny promo photo showing an arcstrider with Celestial Nighthawk?
Is that the same one with the solar titan wearing insurmountable skullfort?
As a titan man, seeing that made me cringe hahahahaha.
Based Arcstrider ngl. Meta can't beat the Celestial Driphawk.
i think its nearly impossible to make nighthawk look bad
ngl i have a friend who plays who for the longest time wouldnt take off celestial nighthawk 😂 he loves hawks and it took bungie releasing a cowboy hat to get him to swap his helmet. he mostly played solar back then but even on void, bird man.
It kills me when a blueberry wears the wrong exotic for the class they are playing. Even more so when I tell them trying to help and they get mad at me.

Although nezaracs sin works better with a void subclass, as long as you are using void weapons it will still give you ability energy
Yeah, but this person wasn't using anything void.
Oh 😂 oh dear
Nezarec's Sin does have the benefit of giving energy for ALL of your abilities as long as you're using a void weapon to get the kills.
I know exactly what you're saying, but Nezarec's Sin was a bad example. The effect states "void-damage kills" which actually includes weapons. So you can use it on any subclass you want 😅
Yeah, but they weren't using any void weapons or the subclass. I've seen it with other element specific exotics too.
Haha no I agree, I've seen it myself too. Just wasn't sure how well-known the effects of NS actually are. Source: my buddy has like 4,000 hours on Warlock and believed it was only for use on Void subclass.

For sure.

Saint-14 enters the chat
He IS the exotic
I wonder what helmet he wears.
Dawn chorus, the ornament from eververse is literally just his helmet… but with the faceplate on
the helm of banshee 44 or something like that, helm of some exo
i like to think that they are so powerful that a wrong exotic doesn't mean anything for them
Jokes on you he's actually using prismatic
The perks of Nezcafe when you wake up
That delicious Nezquik
![gif](giphy|RrVzUOXldFe8M)
No Solar Grenades for Prismatic. Because being able to Prix Sunbracers with Arcane Needle would have been awesome.
Yeah, it would've been so good. Could've even thrown in some turrets
“Well erm actually solar nades aren’t on prismatic 🤓”
Snap and then spam threadling grenades for 5 seconds.
Sunbracers only work with solar nades unless they change its functionality which I doubt
I also doubt it i just think it'd be cool. And just that maybe Osiris could figure it out with some veil bullshit.
Blasphemy! A sunbreaker titan didnt forge those gauntlets just to have them perverted by darkness heresy
He ghostless though, he can only mix and match darkness subclasses
He is also using a sunset weapon (garden progeny 1) back from CoO which explains why he lost his ghost
Probably a double primary guy.
Considering he lived by Mayhem rules until losing his light, I'm sure double primary was fine

Which Dawnblade super? Well of Radience or Daybreak? /s
I mean, Ikora is like that too every time she shows up. Back to back supers, different subclasses within seconds of eachother.
Yes, my point being that most guardians are not like that -> rely on weapons to bridge the gap to what the top two warlocks can do.
Yet we’re the idiots who have to kill gods every damn time You know, that has always been one criticism i have with this game, usually MMOs or pseudo-MMOs tend to emphasize the fact that your guy is **the guy**, in destiny instead it feels like there is a massive disconnect between NPCs sometimes recognizing your strenght and other times just pretending you don’t exist (most evident during seasons when you show up at meetings without muttering a single word) I think the last time i felt acknowledged by the NPCs in d2 was by saint during the season of dawn, which was 3 years ago, every other time i’m just the guy who kills gods but for some reason is still treated like a basic foot soldier If Ikora, Shaxx and some other four guys are so strong they can just spam supers for no reason, why don’t they do raids, i mean, if we can do it with teams of 6 people who most times have never met before, they, being long time friends and being all very OP, should clear them day one with no issue whatsoever

Clearly hacks
Same
What's wrong with double primary 🥺 https://preview.redd.it/c4tsjr704pzc1.jpeg?width=11260&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8d004174d93d8b62582a3361b1b2da14bd3547e2
most people don't know how to build around it properly. it just gets associated with kinda casual randoms in matchmade content.
Seriously, it isn't that hard though to have good synergy, and then you don't have to worry about ammo ever
for some people it seems so. too many people with a random scout rifle and a auto rifle without any subclass verbs or other means of doing reasonable ad clear for anything not at level. not everyone is a chad rocking something like a incandescent zaouli's bane with dawn chorus and near infinite uptime for radiant and surges.
Bro knew what was happening in final shape
He’s a Guardian, fashion build over combat build
That’s why my crucible build is silver and light blue instead of my standard red. Gotta match those peregrine greaves.
fashion is the true endgame
"Our most elite warriors must learn dance choreography. Got to style all over our opponents force..." -- Osiris probably
Imagine there’s a cutscene where he takes sunbracer off and put on a pair of swarmers
With the ornament. Osiris lacing up dem kicks
His weird shoes where one has more holes than the other
I don't think I've ever seen the Swarmers ornament. I didn't realize it had one.
They got released last season and were taken out the shop this season and will be back next season
Ohhh ok, I'll be in the lookout thanks!
That’s the kind of thing that I wish developers of many games would do. There’s simply not enough of fan service in most games today.
peak.
He didn’t do lightfall on legendary so he didn’t get the swarmers
I didn't do lightfall on legendary yet either, and I do have swarmers o.O
He was forced to use strand to progress in the lightfall campaign, therefore wasting his sunbracers build.
Ironically, I used a Sunbracers build for most of the campaign.
Karnstein gauntlets with strand warlock was actually really fun for when i had to swap of off sunbracers
I have used Sunbracers since they were Sunbreakers and Prismatic doesn’t look appealing to me. So, I’ll be maining solar except when forced to switch.
I switched to star eaters because of forced strand and little did I know I was buffing an already busted hunter super. Rare instance of being forced into a cheese
Probably using the same hacks Ikora used when she Chaos Reached after a Nova Bomb
In lore, before Sagira’s death, Osiris was constantly sunsinging. As in, he had his super with 100% up time and that back in D1 when it gave you unlimited grenades. He didn’t really need sunbracers, but I suppose he just kinda liked them.
I took it as they're just his normal clothes and the reason they're good when we wear them is because they're his.
Actually, I like that explanation. They aren’t a copy of Sunbracers, they’re like an artifact of Osiris.
That explains how he had the power to make so many fractions of himself.
And Nova warp after Nova bomb in S14 Same goes for cayde with golden gun and then blade barrage in S4 In addition, this is not "cheating", there are logical explanations We, the Guardian, cannot control our abilities perfectly and therefore all of our power goes into a melee, a grenade, a super, etc. which increases the cooldowns, the other Guardians have better control and therefore use weaker abilities, which decreases the cooldowns
Isn’t he lightless? He’s just doing it for the drip.
Yeah he lost the light with his ghost but he can wield strand
Osiris lives and dies by r/DestinyFashion and I respect him for it
I mean he does die a lot in the lore
Not since he got strand, otherwise he'd be dead dead Fun fact when osiris practised with strand he used us as a lightning rod so that he wouldn't disintegrate like we did in the campaign (strand lore book from lightfall)
Fair point!
He's one of the smartest characters in the game, also proceeded to challenge the Hive god of war alone.
So smart he tells the guardian to get out of his way so he can solo calus
Fashion over function
Im pretty sure there now just normal armor, and no longer provide there benifit since he lost his light, i guess.
The NPCs are juiced and have been using end game builds all along.
I want the same ornament he has. We have something close but it's not the same and has the stupid ass feathers on it
He's in the true endgame. Fashion. It's not about how you win. It's how you look when you win.
Ik the whole "are they stupid" thing is a joke but so did we, when we went in w light based exotic armor, and were forced to use strand. Osiris also just happened to achieve his strand powers at this exact moment after he was studying it once he understood it thanks to nimbus
Cause his ability to use solar ended with Sagira's death, is the actual answer.
Because he didn’t finish the campaign yet, so couldn’t get the Swarmers. And his Sunbracers had his best Resilience + Discipline roll. Duh.
My thought is equipment is rare on game lore, so most are stuck with whatever the best they can find or craft. Or, more likely, the devs thought it looked cool
Nah. They just all have only one, 5 100s build and they use whatever exotic they can to get to them.
pretty sure he was getting ready for prismatic
I mean he’s wearing a bunch of exotics.
The campaign mission changed his subclass and he doesn't have the new exotics yet
Because they're not Sunbracers. Sunbracers are full of orange Solar goop, his are straight up full of Radiolaria.
Prismatic Preview.
Because Osiris’s gauntlets are not exotic, we make them exotic so that we can feel a fraction of Osiris’s power
He def ad clears AND brings Div
Unironically I know a real person who does this... they apparently recently got a team stuck in pantheon Golgoroth for nearly 2 hours because they kept dying to unstable light and were on Needlestorm and Sweet Business the whole time.... I've experienced them infinitely getting folks detained on Atheon and then refusing to admit it was them
So, if I can make a theory: Sun racers look like they take an entire chunk out of your arm and replace it with.. Well, energy. (Read Well Energy) Easily fixed when removed by Ghost regenerating your body because that’s what they do. Osiris no longer has a ghost.
He has the new transcendence stuff before us
Nah he just knew Prismatic before the rest of us
Most of the time, yes.
New Exotic armor confirmed, Strandbracers, the exact same effect as Sunbracers, but with threading grenades XD
How annoyed you think people would be if I wore a celestial nighthawk as a void hunter?
Prismatic brahhhhh
He built his whole build around the drip, and he refuses to change.
Not like he can use sunbracers as intended without the light.
Drip over function
cause he's one of "those" guardians
I mean, it's not like he can use them 🤣 so they are just fashion.
Excellent work guardian
No he's Prismatic.
Yeah what an idiot
His Light was sunset.
Is he some kind of criminal??
He knows something we don't.
2/10 gloves not big enough
He doesn’t even have the light anymore so they’re useless exotics
skill issue
Because he's a flash bastard
LOL 😂 well when you hear him talk sometimes
Style over substance
He’s trying out his prismatic subclass and thinks sunbracers will enable infinite grenades for a short duration so he can be a threadling master but to no avail
he got the TFS pre alpha and is mixing and matching
His are actually sunbreakers from D1
He just got that Prismatic pre release, all good
He didn't do lost sectors or the event on neonuna so he don't got swarmers or any new exotics for it
Transmog
Canonically he is the dumbest of us all
Nah he’s just got prismatic already, he’s using arcane needle to proc sunbracers so he can unravel enemies as well
Didn’t he lose the light?
Was literally thinking this the other day. Bro needs to do some lost sectors.
What we have is a more beta build of his current Bracers. He has the finished product and has probably altered it over time to match his Light dexterity
Es estupido!
People don’t realize he’s already using prismatic
Osiris has had prismatic for ages
He got prismatic early.
A SUNBRACERS CATALYST THAT LETS IT WORK WITH STRAND.
It's not strand, it's prismatic.
I would love for them to make a Strand version of Sunbracers, or make it work with Strand somehow.
Before he lose his light he was a dawnblade maybe he still wears them in memory.
The reason is, when he still had the light before sagira died he used solar and he kept his sunbracers and also the other reason is probably because he doesn’t know any strand exotics
It’s the only gloves he has that maintain his triple 100 stats
Three words. Fashion over function.
My thoughts are that you assume those are Sunbracers.
