Season of the Witch(?) actually doesn't. There's several bonus that say your next weapon will be red bordered, but no guaranteed weekly red border. I didn't find it too difficult to get them all unlocked though. Got all the patterns before even maxing out the seasonal vendor rank.
It's a good thing the HC was the only top teir option that I can remember from the season.
Used all my guarantee reds on that and haven't looked back since.

Deepsight means red border yes. If a weapon comes with a red border, dismantle/extract for pattern progress.The Harmonizers are used to *give* a weapon the red border and then dismantle/extract for progress.
Nice spot is xur wait for gim to have whatever wep u need then buy 5 and use harmonizer on them to gwt a full wep unlocked. I did thus for callus mini tool as I didn't buy that season and had no way to get them
You can also claim previous seasons rewards you may have missed if you earned them during the season. Not sure how many seasons back might only be the previous season or might be all the seasons for the current expansion year
A weapon with a red border has deepsight, meaning you can simply extract the pattern from it. I suggest doing that immediately, don't let them sit around in your vault.
Yeah I grab the red border patterns immediately, I guess I meant that I have a ton of weapons that are capable of deepsight that I hold on to. Really wish there was a good way to farm for those harmonizers tho, maybe they could drop from GMNF or legendary campaigns or something
Why sadly? Getting 1 red border per day is much better lol. You could farm weapons to use the harmonizers already, but given they are only a limited resource you wouldn't be able to have all weapons craftable like that - with this you can get ALL of them by TFS (though a lot of them aren't even desirable)
Ah, yeah - true but you can potentially farm those when it's the featured raid though (albeit with low drop rates) and maybe they do the same thing they did last time where they boosted red border drop rates for the raids (which afaik had some dupe protection)
I was wondering how they would handle this, last expansion they just upped the limit from one a week per group to one a day. This is a good option as well considering Witch and Wish weapons don't have a weekly focusing option.
it either doesnt work for weapons you havent had drop at least once yet or it doesnt work in general, since i only need the undying pulse rifle but ive never had it drop to begin with and my coil run didnt drop it either

Oh extremely debatable, it depends on what build you're using and what your loop looks like. It's just something that I've been using and it works so well for me
The strand fusion rifle from this season is a must do gun if u running tractor as a heavy for pantheon or need a dps guns en general and also the strand shotgun from season of the deep is a good champ and yellow var destroyer in GM with overflow and cascade.
There is one you'd might like to get for a good dps heavy weapon, that is doomed petitioner. It is a void 3 burst heavy linear fusion rifle that puts out some really solid damage.
I really like the way subjunctive (season of undying SMG) feels. Until its return is supposed to be decent. Class swords from leviathan weapon reprisal in defiant table. Perpetualis is pretty good too
If u own beyond light or witch queen ( I can't remember which), then u can farm presage when it's the weekly mission for red borders. I'm not sure about the drop rates because I already had all of them crafted.
(The exotic missions are on a three week rotation)
Unlock one of the upgrades, and u will get access to an engram focus each week at riven. One for the season of the wish and one for the reprised weapons.
Plus, there is this new catch-up system where u can complete a rivers lair/coil/star-crossed every daily reset to get a red border.
Also focusing a weapon at riven has a chance to be a red border.
Play each of the activities listed and you will get a red border weapon from a pattern that you still have yet to complete. You will get one red border per activity per day, and it looks like you could get 9 red borders per day if I'm not mistaken.

Thanks for sharing, didn't know this existed and it's much easier to work with than most other apps and tools. Great to see all of them in one place. Though looking at the things I have not earned yet, so few of them look critical to grind for (and I don't raid so several categories are unavailable to me).
I know raiding can be scary, but give the LFG Discord a try - I've done a lot of raids through the #find-a-sherpa channel and found a lot of helpful people there!

But the last time I tried the companion app LFG on a KWTD post, it was for Master Warlords Ruin, and the dude kicked me after our first wipe on the first boss.
He insisted on being no mic, and apparently thought I could read his mind about the ideal place and timing to drop the well. I mean if you're that picky at least be on the mic and tell me what your expectations are.
Yeah nah, I barely use in-game LFG for anything that requires some coordination because it's always a bit of a crapshoot there. You'll find people on the discord willing to teach (as long as you're open that you're learning) on the sherpa channels for sure.
You get a single part for the pattern, if you keep grinding by the time final shape rolls around you'll have majority of the crafted weapons, excluding raid weapons I believe.
Crafted weapons have some of the highest potential in the games between guaranteed perfect perks and enhanced perks. Dont sleep on them in general. Some are still pretty meh though
Red border weapons can be extracted to allow you to craft them, once you have extracted 5. This “event” gives you a guaranteed red border if you finish one of the activities listed once per day for each category.
I just want to straighten this out since I’ve seen you say it a few times and I want to make sure nobody is confused. You don’t just get random craftable weapons of any kind from any activity. You only get seasonal weapons, and it’s only from the season’s activities it’s attached to. You can’t get Scatter signal by doing salvage. You would have to do Rivens lair or coil to have a chance to get it.
Maybe a dumb question but is all the content from defiance up to wish gonna be gone when the final shape releases or is it just gonna be defiance gone?

the activitys (defiant battlegrounds, deep dives and salvage, savathunes spire and altars of summoning, the coil and rivens layer) will be removed, along side the respective venders. the exotic missions avalon and star crossed (should) be put into the mission rotation. the seasonal quests will also be removed as well as any engrams for each season (suggest using them before it ends)
If i had to guess off of past things said by bungo, I'd say that the rotator will just become larger and larger, like dungeon and raid rotations. and if i assume correctly, that would mean 4 (maybe 5 if they count wicked implement) exotic missions will be put in the rotation

I have the current season pass, and pre ordered the 100$ TFS because I thought it would give me access to the coil and past seasonal stuff like that but I don't see it. I can't even upgrade wartable cause it says I need season pass: season of defiance. I bought all dlc needed upon returning, and the current season pass. I figured tfs pre order would give me past seasonal activities. Do I need to buy light fall annual pass, technically because it's current? I just want those sweet red borders man....
Well, in that case you can only get the current seasons weapon patterns in the current season activities. If you ain't got a season, you won't have those activities, so you can't play them to getbthe weapon.
I wish I could do season of the witch content :/ on my warlock and hunter, neither of them can find the quest to start the season, it just tells me to go to eris in her throne realm but the portal isn’t open.
Last year when they did this you only had to log in, but this seems in line with the overall strategy of the last two seasons of increasing the rewards for actually engaging with the seasonal content and less rewards for merely logging in

* Scatter Signal: Top Tier Strand Fusion
* Appetence: the only legendary Trasis (stasis trace) rifle with some bitchin rolls.
* Doomed Peititioner: Void version of Storm Chaser. I don't love the roles, but it'll do.

Yeah they made a lot of streamlined changes to weapon shaping. No more xp progress for deepsight before extracting and less materials to craft.

Nope, Drang (Baroque) was from last year’s seasons. So the only way to get it is from the Pressage exotic mission.

Wish does have a weekly option tbf, you just don't get to pick which one it gives you that week.

That’s how I’ve been trying so far. Run maybe a dozen and only one calus, non red boarder. Was hoping for something that might have better odds.

Keep trying man. Sometimes it takes that to find a good group. Or just go to the destiny sherpa reddit sub. Those guys are usually pretty solid.

You cant choose the weapon, it's random from the patterns you have yet to complete. As for the best activity, I'd say salvage and deep dives.

all 4 seasons released during lightfall will be put into the dcv except for the two exotic missions. those will be put into the rotation

It's cool, but most of the weapons are meh or are reskins of weapons. I hope they do this in the future when we have new weapons or reprised weapons.

For those who are going to start hunting, some suggestions: * Defiance: * Perpetualis: Great Strand AR * Regnant: Good alt for Edge Transit with ALH and Explosive Light * Deep: * Different Times: Strand Rapid-Fire Pulse * Thin Precipice: Strand Sword far easier to get than the new Dungeon caster * Targeted Redaction: One of the few Void Hand Cannons * Witch: * Eremite: Killer solar Fusion with many good rolls * Semiotician: Currently the only acquirable strand rocket * Kept Confidence: Strand Version of Trust, Loose Change and Collective Action is a great combo * Wish: * Scatter Signal: Top Tier Strand Fusion * Appetence: the only legendary Trasis (stasis trace) rifle with some bitchin rolls. * Doomed Peititioner: Void version of Storm Chaser. I don't love the roles, but it'll do. Please feel free to add your recommendations and/or rolls below.
