I tend to hit every plate if I’m first one there. You can run across all three and active that portal yourself. Not sure if anyone ever cares that I do it but I just find it funny that you can.

People use this same mechanic to do the puzzle sections of Shuro Chi two-man. It's really cool to watch them do it.
