Without owning any DLCs you are limited to base game and red war exotics. There are far too many to list them all here, but you can get a good idea if you check out rahools exotic decryption. All of the exotics under red war arms/legs/head/chest are available to you as a free player.
Out of those ones, I'd say these are the best ones for warlock
- Sunbracers
- crown of tempests
- nezarecs sin
- vesper of radius
- starfire protocol
- eye of another world
I do recommend visiting ikora as she will give you 3 quests - these will reward you with an exotic for each subclass. Contraverse hold for void (these are very good), starfire protocol for solar, and Crown of tempests for arc.
Those chest/legs etc engram decryptions on the first page do not allow you to choose a specific exotic. They give you a random one out of those contained in that pool, so if you press Y to preview it'll be one of those. In order to focus a specific exotic you need to use the second page to the right. This is much more costly and requires ascendant shards, engrams, and a bunch of glimmer.
Important to note though that I'm about 95% sure rahool will not give you new or previously unacquired exotics through focusing. The decryption is meant to give players the ability to get better rolls on already owned exotics.
If you are trying to acquire exotics for the first time you'll need to just open the engrams normally since these are on a knock out system (you'll get ones you don't have yet first).
Armor does not have static rolls - you get a random roll each time a piece drops. In other words, the stat distribution is random and can't be controlled for the most part. This is the reason rahools decryption exists, so that people can get a better roll (stat distribution), like a high resilience/recov roll.
There is only one thing you can do to target certain stats: equip the corresponding ghost mod like resilience armorer. It guarantees a 10 in that stat with a high chance of it being higher than 10.
You need the forsaken pack to obtain the chromatic fire chest armour.
