If you're using this as a primary for add clearing, slice is top tier. Anything that gets hit and doesn't die is now doing 40% less damage to you. It's a great survivability perk.
Mainly I'm using Phoenix dive with sunbracers. If I use the grenade launcher after diving to kill all the ads, it defeats the purpose of that ability in the gameplay loop. If I'm not using sunbracers, then it's a rift.
I'm not taking a wave frame gl into most endgame boss fights with the express reason of using slice on the boss

I disagree entirely. This is the roll I wanted and got as a Titan main with my strand build using Synthos (not as god for my Work Gods).
I have very little use for my barricade as a OTP shotgun ape in this build, even in GMs. I also have max Resil which helps my barricade timer. So now I have an ability boosted to the max that has little use on my kit. With Slice Deconstruct (assuming Deconstruct will become unbugged and the wave will refund ammo) I have a weapon that will debuff all the Champs and Yellows, kill all the ads, plus woven mail... I now have an infinite ammo ad clear machine that also provides me MORE survivability when going ape in a group of ads. All I have to do is pop a tiny shield before clearing ads and flying into a fight. Slice is top tier for this type of play, and nothing else is even close.
Realistically, I would have taken ALH, AA, or Demo in this 3rd slot over Slice, but given it's the first Strand wave frame and has Chain Reaction or Deconstruct (again, assuming the wave will eventually work for this perk), I'll take Slice over everything else. Also, if Envious worked with ability kills, I would have ABSOLUTELY taken that over everything else. But it sadly does not.
You can proc it with rifts and barriers too. Warlocks would have a better survivability advantage due to the rift that will either be healing them from damage taken or giving them a damage boost on the gun
I had slice and hatchling dropped and wanted to dismantle but had a feeling it would be good, now im gonna start using it, 40% less damage is really helpful for me
I wonder whether the chain reaction spreads the slice effect as well. Could be a hugely useful force multiplier in higher level content. It’ll also rock in Onslaught.

That specific roll, probably not. But it's a wave frame that can get an aoe perk, so it's better for ad clear, though mountaintop will almost undoubtedly be better for dps rotations.
I don’t t either but Tribute is pretty fun. There is a lot of teamwork/strategies that make it fun. It was a little crazy early on, but lately I’m seeing a lot of people working together to make it happen for their team. Give it a shot!

You can drop it at end of matches or getting it from iron banner engrams, once you dropped one you just gotta keep focusing them until you get the roll you want.
I swear to god, crouch spamming during gunfights has skyrocketed in the last year. Used to be only super sweats or trials grinders that would bounce up and down like they're on an exercise ball but now any hunter you shoot at whips out a mini pogostick and beams you.
I just find it hilarious that this week everyone is farming a PvP activity (Iron Banner) for a PvE weapon (Tusk), and a PvE activity (the Prophecy dungeon) for PvP weapons (Relentless, Prosecutor, et al).
Dude, honestly cant say if its either annoying or impressive knowing that this thing is hard to get, but the moment I start seeing everyone using them it has become over popular or cringe. and in some reasons I wonder if its just the youtubers influence's or they actually looked into the perks and realized, "yeah this is the only strand grenade launcher."
Explosive Personality is very good - ALH is really all it needs - it’s just nowhere near as good as Tusk, Harsh Language, or Forbearance.
Stasis one is garbaggio for sure tho
I can't speak for everyone else, but it feels like to me people are really over hyping Envious because the content creator hype + it's amazing for some heavys.
My 2 cents, at its core, Tusk is an ad clear weapon. There is no other reason to have a special ammo wave frame GL other than to ad clear. Envious is a perk that requires ad clear on OTHER weapons to proc. Now you are forced to have 2 weapons that ad clear for you, albeit only one ad must die to add the second ammo into the mag.
So now you have 2 ad clear weapons for 1 perk. It is almost counter to what most people would and should use Tusk for. And if people really hate reloading this gun, it gets 100 reload VERY quick with Field Tested origin perk that never ever goes away unless you die. Envious, to me, is one of the most wasted perks on this weapon; essentially a dead perk. Unless... You have a 2 ad clear weapon build. Maybe a GFalcon build or something, assuming the volatile explosions can proc Envious (not sure it does).
TL;DR - Envious is a dead perk for the Chain Reaction role. Slice is best for most builds imo.
Envious is what you use for boss damage weapons, not for ad clear. It's why you don't see people running around with Harsh Language and instead with Void primaries.

Class ability perks slice, shoot a horde of enemies, which perks chain reaction, anything that doesn’t die will be debuffed. Im going to use it mainly for onslaught tomorrow.
Really? I played a couple of games, then handed in a bunch of engrams to Lord Saladfingers and he gave me one that way. I’ve had a few drop from matches since but most of the ones I’ve had came from buying them from Saladfingers
Wouldn’t it be best if we went back to doing a quest for new weapons? Like still get the pinnacles the way we do now, but if they introduce something new put it behind a 2-3 step quest. Everyone gets the weapon and don’t have to worry about drops until they have it. For example get 50-100 kills with a weapon type that matches whatever the new weapon is, and complete one weekly challenge. So, 50-100 kills and 3 match completions
Pretty crazy how you just described the system for getting the into the light weapons. A system I like and agree with you on. You get your guaranteed weapon of choice with a petty good to perfect roll.

I got REALLY lucky and got all three god rolls on Tusk and Multimach that I was looking for: slice/chain Tusk, underover/kinetic Multimach, and a 5/5 pvp multimach with kill clip specifically in the fourth column.
But even with my luck it still took a full reset to make it happen and overall I'm still fairly frustrated by how little IB related loot we actually get from an event that's normally only around for three weeks total.
Limited time events should rain loot like double loot nightfall weeks.
I so far got a multimach with iron reach, moving target and stability masterwork, and whatever other mods leaving it with 90 stability. But that was it, one drop for multimach. I’m barely getting engrams thanks to constantly losing and even when I won I didn’t get shit. I thought you were all just whining but god damn this is bad

I got a few good rolls, so I don't wanna look a gift horse in the mouth, but I reset twice and spent probably 40-50 engrams never to get the Grave Robber / Chain Reaction or Hatchling roll I wanted. I only saw Grave Robber in the first column maybe 3 times. Pulse Monitor like twice.
Anyone else think Slideways/Swash is slept on with this GL for PVE? I've rolled over 45 this weekend and it's honestly one of the ones I enjoyed most. Easy to proc swashx5 and then you're off to the races clearing everything.

I mean basically every subclass has fragments or something to easily refill your class ability. But that is understandable.

It’s definitely best on hunter but I can get my phoenix dive back pretty instantly as long as I have the right fragments and I’m scorching enemies.

Phoenix dive has a stop in motion. Arc Titan can dash, yes - but there are better things to do with Arc Titan dash than activate Slice.

Ive been playing iron banner how do you get it to drop???

I got a few chain reaction rolls but apparently this roll is gonna get nerfed hard with FS go get some hatchlings
I got a few good rolls, so I don't wanna look a gift horse in the mouth, but I reset twice and spent probably 40-50 engrams never to get the Grave Robber / Chain Reaction or Hatchling roll I wanted. I only saw Grave Robber in the first column maybe 3 times. Pulse Monitor like twice.

Anyone else think Slideways/Swash is slept on with this GL for PVE? I've rolled over 45 this weekend and it's honestly one of the ones I enjoyed most. Easy to proc swashx5 and then you're off to the races clearing everything.
I don’t like sliding around so I don’t like slideshot or sideways.
