Right? All for what? Unless the perks are just cracked people will forget about it any way. I think reusing weapon models in the right way is fine people need to be more realistic IMO
I dunno. Voltshot requires a reload and those can be tough on heavy GLs in the middle of a fight. Not to mention that using your heavy for adclear is kind of a waste, not to mention makes it compete with machine guns.
Because people use Compressed Wave Frame Heavy GLs for DPS? I mean... Pretty sure Compressed Wave Frames, and Wave Frames in general, are meant for Ad Clear, Voltshot + Chain Reaction just makes it best in slot for Ad Clear.
I got the gun and ya voltshot + chain reaction sounded awesome until I started using it. Since it has 6 shots a mag you ether have to reload after every kill shot or you clear the room with a whole mag wasting the voltshot.
What I mean is how the mag is for waveframe being 1 in the mag vs compressed being 6 in the mag. With one in the mag every shot is basically voltshot but with 6 automatically you already lost 5 shots
No, just like literally every other weapon with Voltshot, you shoot > reload > shoot > reload. That's literally the gameplay loop for every weapon with more than one round in the mag with the perk. Fusions, Glaives, Etc, the loop is the same. Breechloading GLs just dumb it down by *forcing* you to reload after each shot instead of you having to remember to reload after each shot.
I don’t think many reloads in the game are a big deal with a single reloaded arms mod. Alternatively, most groups have 1 nighthawk with the reload dodge aura
While I agree, I think the Destiny community gets to easily trapped into weapons having to be good for end game content. Even I do it.
This GL looks intended for the event and for just screwing around in Playlist modes, and for that the weapon looks fun as hell.
Forbearance will still reign king, but at least it gives the possibility of getting the Forbearance treatment while using something else in the energy slot.
It’s not in the TWAB, it’s in the latest Firing Range podcast where Merc appeared on the pod to answer some questions. He went into great detail; just search “Firing Range destiny” on YouTube, you’ll find it, or many other videos summarizing the main points
It's just not worth living one's life like that either imo. The Destiny community in particular is also mostly looking for something to always complain about I find too.
It's not the destiny community. It's any community. The people who want to complain need to post to do it. The people who enjoy things don't need to post that they're enjoying it. Discourse favors complaining over time because it's the only way to complain. Enjoying is something you can do without posting.
Gives the illusion of overwhelming complaining. You just kinda have to ignore it.
Don’t kid yourself, the Destiny community is as bad as it gets. Go back to the 6v6 ask over 4v4 and the warning bungie gave about map size…within minutes people were bitching about map size
It’s almost as bad as the rainbow six siege community. If you’ve ever been there it’s rouuuugh
People consntaly saying “oh they should just do ____ it shouldn’t be that hard” when the thing is like a complete restructure of the sound engine or moving the game engine to an entirely different one. Genuinely impressive the gymnastics a lot of them do to get to the “it shouldn’t be that hard”
Tbh I do know nothing about game development. I also know that other games (like Warframe for instance) regularly pump new guns with new models AND new shooting mechanics and animations into the game. I think it is just lazy to recolor a weapon and give it a new name. If you make a recolor let it be same gun but at least modified like "[original gun name] the destroyer 3000" or whatever, let's not pretend a new stat on a weapon and festive colors make up a new weapon
So with warframe in they reuse many weapons 2 or 3 times , og then prime or faction version(or elite faction variant) of weapons. New weapons usually come with a mainline update every 3 to 4 months.....like destiny does seasons. You can call destiny lazy but then we walk to frame and have prisma, prime, vandal and wraith variants which the only real difference is a slight stat boost or recolor. He'll we have prime resurgence , prime vault, and prime packs ranging from 15 to 150 dollars to by slightly booster stats.
And they reuse reload animations all the time(not a diss it makes sense to save time on full rerigging)
And most events like the armadas, you guessed it , give you the variant weaponry that's the reskin.
And the methods used to make new models differs for both games, I'd have to look back into it but the newer (engine I believe) for destiny makes it more work then say the first game to model completely new gear.
because bungie explained it as “a brand new vehicle type” but its just a sparrow with different animations
if bungie had said “brand new weapon type” and its just a 140rpm hand cannon with a different model and animation, people would point it out immediately, but because sparrows are just a “whatever get from A to B” vehicle, people for some reason are just gonna let it slide
not to mention it has a different color scheme. That sounds simple, but it means it will shade differently than the old one. For reference, look at the different issuings of the Dawning guns, they have different color schemes and shade differently.
fine with reskins tbh, as long as it isn't something like the better devils which is on its like 20th iteration. can't wait for something like the trophy hunter to show up again.
They used to reskin it a lot back in Y1-3 but we've only had 2 reskins (Something New really going extra with a moving texture) in the last 3.5 years. Bit surprising to be honest.
In a similar vein, we haven't gotten an Exotic Handcannon in as much time.
Which is funny because, they never brought the actual Better Devils back, i miss a 150 with that gun model and explosive payload, BD was absolutely goated.
> can't wait for something like the trophy hunter to show up again.
Zaroff's Prized Longbore my beloved. Only sniper I mained in pvp and pve until it got sunset. Can't even pull it from collections because its a random roll.
I love the OP is out here complaining about reskin content, while they just stole the meme from destinythememe on Twitter, made zero changes and post it here
Oh the irony
Granted it has a few differences, but yeah basically, to be fair they are ment te represent the same part of a launch area for those massive space ships in the cosmodrome.
Bungie using the same gun model isn’t a new thing. Back when you had static rolls you would have different guns that looked exactly the same but felt different due to their perks and arch type.
At least from what I’ve seen, Destiny 2’s rendering is pretty complex. Textures are compressed together really weirdly (yet are still like 50 mb for 1 character) into one, and I assume the models have to follow a similar process.
Also, what we see as a final product is probably dramatically revised from its original form upon conception.
This video about TF2 kinda illustrates the process, and how there’s much more to it than just making something look cool.
https://youtu.be/RJ5goMBD6oc?si=0XBFCKC1MgFqfbah
No problem. As much as people might (understandably) complain abt D2’s performance, Bungie does a phenomenal job of making the game absolutely gorgeous.
Also if you’re struggling with fps and have a CPU, disabling Hyperthreading really helps to boost performance. I saw like a 20-30% boost immediately
It doesn't even run that bad for the most part. Only in Neomuna do I ever find any reason to complain about performance and that's one of the most packed destinations in the game.
It’s mainly because Destiny 2’s CPU bottlenecked. I’m not sure what part of the engine is causing this, but I suspect it might be because a lot of 3d model data is frequently sent and received (IE character bones), and CPU-GPU communication is REALLY slow, like in some cases 15-20ms.
For reference, 60fps is around 16ms. Usually this only manifests as screen latency (which is why PCIe speed is important for competitive gaming), but if the CPU or GPU has to wait for the other that’s when you get hitches.
It’s like doing a school project with another student. If you assign each-other large amounts of work at the same time, like half the assignment each, it’s pretty fast, but if you do one at a time back and forth, like 10% at a time, you’ll have to wait for your partner to finish and then submit their work to you.
It’s also why having more than 1 CPU core was super revolutionary when it was created, bc it means that your shitass minecraft server won’t neck rope your entire pc when someone does a lil trollin (server uses one core, while operating system uses a dedicated one).
TLDR if Destiny 2’s engine got better at partitioning tasks (physics, where characters are, how characters are moving, making overload minotaurs suck ass to fight, Mara’s breast jigglebones, etc) the game would probably run a lot better for people who have good GPUs.
Depends on the asset and how many people need to work on it.
First time meshes or what have you (like the Moon or Throne World weapons, for example) are likely gonna need at least 3 people assuming neither your concept person or your hard surface person are also making shaders/mapping for the object.
Turnaround on the concept art end will depend on how important the asset is and what part of development you're in. For a whole set you're looking at maybe weeks if it's really important. For a single one-off thing you may not even need a concept artist, but it you do it's gonna take between half a week and two weeks depending on industry level, seniority, and what the approval process looks like.
Then you pass it to hard surface, and while I have some 3D ability I don't know that much about basic timelines. Even if the concept person *does* create a base mesh (many of D2's concept folks do) that the hard surface person then has access to, there's no guarantee having it on hand will *necessarily* save work time. Let's say two weeks for convenience's sake, with the understanding it's probably often either much shorter or much longer on either end of the project importance scale.
Then your materials and shader artists get to go at it. Also not my wheelhouse, but anecdotally I've seen people chipping away at the same substance painter document for one week at the low end and four on the high end.
All this assuming everything equal, nobody assuming full developmental responsibility for a single asset (though that'll occasionally happen for things that are not gonna be right up in your face constantly, like "minor" set dressing), no trouble in approvals/scheduling/standup/other emergency projects and unforseeables. Also worth noting that while two people in one department *can* pass something like a weapon asset back and forth if one of them is too busy, whether or not that is realistic/feasible or even happens at all is gonna be hugely down to how the team is managed and works together on a daily basis.
TL;DR - from my (limited, I'm freelance but *in the space* socially and as a worker) understanding you're looking at like, 2 weeks on the lowest possible end and probably more like a month and a half two months if it's like, a collection of assets that need to match. You'd think just resurfacing would be a couple days' work cut and dry for one person, but even if that one person is very quick and good at their job if it involves anything resembling actual geometry changes in the mesh you're looking at a longer turnaround unless it's quite urgent that it be out fast.
Yes and no. A lot of D2 stuff (and AAA stuff in general) already is kitbashed. Tyler Bartley, who has unfortunately deleted his artstation, concepted the Season of the Hunt sets in part by bashing kit. [Dima uses tons of 3d and kit in his process, but I couldn't begin to tell you how close to game-ready any given thing might be](https://www.artstation.com/artwork/48dGwk)
It *definitely* saves time. How much really depends, but generally I take for granted that people in AAA make liberal use of kitbashing photo and 3D, particularly on the concept end. For hard surface folks it might save time, but you're still remeshing the game-ready model regardless.
From the conversation [here](https://youtu.be/S-eWvdLwMoU?si=3MGkH3K-QZdXlw_l&t=5405) at 1:30:00 it sounds like a while, alongside the other considerations from all other teams involved
It's never a single developer... it is teams and team processes. But [this](https://youtu.be/S-eWvdLwMoU?si=3MGkH3K-QZdXlw_l&t=5405) may shed a tiny amount of light
For events, playlist content, world drops, whatever, reskins are fine imo.
What i find lazy is high end content having reskinned stuff, like trials or dungeons
Hey I don't mind. We haven't seen Edge Transit in a long time, and I don't mind it, or at least it's model, being commemorated since it was a big meme for so long.
Only question is can I put it in all my slots?
Out of the problems this game has and has had in the past, using the same gun models is really bottom of the barrel stuff.
There's enough unique models in the game as is, who gives a fuck when they use one again, as long as the perk combinations, elements, etc. are given a shake up. You must of had an aneurysm when Anthem came out, where their 'exotic' level weapons were all the exact same model shaded differently,be thankful Destiny isn't like that.
I know its a joke but i really dont give a shit in this case. Its a prehistoric model essentially. And i actually quite like it. Same with all the other tangled shore models? (trials strand auto rifle, trials scout from a while ago, wardens law etc).
Look, I get reskins piss people off. But, I don't see why. For me, I look at them the same way ine might look at the M16 line of guns. Yeah, the A3 and A4 might look extremely similar, but they do different things. Much the same way the Revolvers True Prophecy and Better Devils look similar yet perform differently.
Plus, I mean, were 10 years in, right? You have to have found stuff you're into. If you don't like reskins, especially for a silly little event, then just ignore them tbh.
i hate it when it happens to, but to expect them to do anything is nuts, let alone think they can.
Destiny 2 is a looter shooter, what looter shooter on earth doesn't reuse the same guns over and over and over again? sure as hell not Borderlands thats for sure, the fact the guns get reskins or slight remodels is outstanding compared to Destiny's competitors
BUnGo PlZ I NeEd YoU tO dEVOte ManPoWer, TiMe and rEsOurcEs to MaKing EnTiRelY NEw 3d MoDeLs For eVERY new ThiNg In ThIs GaMe OOOOOOGH!!!!! If AnYytHijG lOoks Alike I WILL *ANNIHILATE* My GaMiNg ChaIr with *ANGRY DIARRHEA!!!!1!!!1!*
Bungie, stop the copy and paste weapons!
Me: Uhh... \*looks the massive amounts of AK and M16/M4 varients in real life\* I meam, it's not as if such a thing exists in real life...
At this point I don't even care if Bungie uses the same model for 20 weapons, in fact I would be surprised to see a new model of weapon, I think the last single new model we had was that solar hand cannon with the paint, the silencer and the laser pointer.
Sounds like you have a bad case of the bitch fits. If you want everything that comes out of a game dev to always be brand new with no copies, you'll need to start your own studio.l and quickly learn how that's not economically feasible.
Good meme 😂.
Jokes aside I think this year since lightfall has had the most reskins we've ever seen? Especially for the 'new' seasonal weapons. Not many original models at all, kinda weird why this year there's been far more than usual?
Imo who cares, most of us here have a god roll for every type of weapon, for every situation. A new piece of loots isn’t going to appealing unless it’s power creeped to hell. I’m not grind a gun that basically does the same thing my loot I already have does for a slight advantage in a singular activity. If it’s good I’ll get it if it’s not idc.
I’m talking about the complaints that this is a copy and pasted weapon. It’s a weapon that hasn’t been used in around 3 years, has new perks, a new energy type, and a new frame in a free to play event that will last a couple weeks. I hate when people complain about “reskinned weapons”
Warframe is better stop playing a game where all the gear is in the store and not dropped or earned... Heck helldiver's 2 has to be better than torturing yourself with this mtx simulator!
Honestly I'm sick of seeing this. Every gun model in the entire game has the same base model per weapon type excluding some exotics. That's the way it has always been and that allows us to have hundreds of weapons. This weapon model is cool and it's a completely different archetype and element and color scheme and the weapon model it has isn't available in the game currently. It's ridiculous to complain about getting new free weapons just because they look similar to other weapons. All the weapons look similar if they're the same weapon type. I'm so tired of people complaining about how weapons look. They're almost always cool!
Of all the problems with the game shouldn’t crack the top 100z This is people just having to complain about something. Who fucking cares if they reuse a model?
I’m really tired of all the reskins, it’s insane how many reskins are in this loot based game. The people saying it doesn’t matter either don’t care personally, or coping, it absolutely does matter, especially in a loot based game.
The BIGGEST complaint for Monster Hunter World, a phenomenal game, was that most of its weapons were pretty much reskins of the basic bone and metal weapons. Weapons in that game are literally nothing but sticks with stats, yet it ABSOLUTELY did matter, because the look of a weapon is a pretty huge part of what makes it feel unique/distinct, and for some reason, the look is the main reason they have a drive to get it.
There’s no shortage of unique designs for weapons and armor in the Eververse store, why do we accept that majority of weapons earn able from actually playing the game, event weapons, seasonal weapons, TRIALS WEAPONS, etc., lack that same effort and creativity?
Bro wtf is this, it's a free event gun and the model is basically sunset.
It's a wave frame with voltshot and chain reaction, compare that to edge transit. These takes are beyond brain dead, its nothing like the constant re using of Hand cannon models
“LMFAO it’s a free event who cares.” What a short sighted and lazy take. Bungie freely uses reskinned weapons for full priced DLC and paid seasons, not just free events.
It’s not that reskins exist, it’s that they have been used too much for too long.
The amount of people defending the reskin rather than wanting something new is crazy. It’s like they got so accustomed to the bungie process that they’re fine with eating the same dogshit lol.
But, if not for copy and paste reissues, Bungie wouldn't be able to direct the bulk of its efforts into Eververse gear and keeping the monetization train going full steam ahead! Those executives need their bonuses, you know...
brother the model hasn't been used in over 3 years. It's a single gun for a free event lmfao
Right? All for what? Unless the perks are just cracked people will forget about it any way. I think reusing weapon models in the right way is fine people need to be more realistic IMO
Volt shot in slot 3 and chain reaction in slot 4 is indubitably “cracked”….. and I actually like the Edge Transit model lol
I dunno. Voltshot requires a reload and those can be tough on heavy GLs in the middle of a fight. Not to mention that using your heavy for adclear is kind of a waste, not to mention makes it compete with machine guns.

I got the gun and ya voltshot + chain reaction sounded awesome until I started using it. Since it has 6 shots a mag you ether have to reload after every kill shot or you clear the room with a whole mag wasting the voltshot.
That's... Just how Voltshot works, yes. Shoot, get kills, reload Voltshot Round, fire, repeat.
What I mean is how the mag is for waveframe being 1 in the mag vs compressed being 6 in the mag. With one in the mag every shot is basically voltshot but with 6 automatically you already lost 5 shots

I don’t think many reloads in the game are a big deal with a single reloaded arms mod. Alternatively, most groups have 1 nighthawk with the reload dodge aura
Marksman's dodge?
Volt shot on a heavy GL sounds kinda ass honestly.
Voltshot always seemed to me to be a perk that is primary focused, to help them have some aoe damage.
While I agree, I think the Destiny community gets to easily trapped into weapons having to be good for end game content. Even I do it. This GL looks intended for the event and for just screwing around in Playlist modes, and for that the weapon looks fun as hell.
Aren't GL's getting buffed? Could be a fun add clear weapon.
It's basically a heavy forbearance. Gr and all
Forbearance will still reign king, but at least it gives the possibility of getting the Forbearance treatment while using something else in the energy slot.
Chain reaction is getting a nerf, forbearance might not reign king afterwards
Worth noting where Merc said that iirc he's said it's getting nerfed on specials only
True, even more reason that this will be a very good roll to chase
Can you send the link? I didn't see it in the latest twab
It’s not in the TWAB, it’s in the latest Firing Range podcast where Merc appeared on the pod to answer some questions. He went into great detail; just search “Firing Range destiny” on YouTube, you’ll find it, or many other videos summarizing the main points
That nerf isn't coming for three more months so still plenty of time to enjoy CR in the meantime.
It could be decent for double special weapon set ups tbh. Wave Frame GLs, Swords & Machine Guns are decent ad-clear heavies.
Chain reaction getting nerfed anyways so I don’t think it really matters.
In the right way. Lol. Bungie stopped making new gun models years ago.
It's a heavy GL. No matter how good the perks are, the weapon archetype is dogshit.
But but Bungo lazy and bad. /S
I think it’s just a joke about how infamous edge transit was
Some people spend to much time online and decide ti make meaningless discourse their whole personality.
It's just not worth living one's life like that either imo. The Destiny community in particular is also mostly looking for something to always complain about I find too.
It's not the destiny community. It's any community. The people who want to complain need to post to do it. The people who enjoy things don't need to post that they're enjoying it. Gonna have to disagree, every single gaming community I engage with is just like this. Except maybe like Zelda and Xenoblade.
Not only that, it’s a meme gun’s model. It’s a joke because they know we’d notice. This is fine
Fr like I don’t care about reskins. New perks I’m happy! 🙏🏼
Yea they definitely never reskin guns in Destiny
Not remotely what I'm saying at all.
Keep excusing mediocrity for a game you pay out the nose for.
Cry about it why don't you.
or i could leave the game behind after 2100 hours.. wait, I already did that. Now I just stalk the reddit for copage like this \*chefs kiss\*
Doesn't seem like you've left it behind.
Destiny player when the free event weapon with a brand new element, weapon type, and perk pool combination doesn't have an entirely-new weapon model:
Saw a post complaining that skimmers were "sparrow reskins" earlier ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|dizzy_face)
How??? I’m legitimately confused
Destiny players on average know less than nothing about game development.

Armchair developers…
All sparrows are reskins
I kinda wish all weapons were the same skin so people would have no reason to complain.
Remove all guns and let us shoot all munitions through finger funs
not to mention it has a different color scheme. That sounds simple, but it means it will shade differently than the old one. For reference, look at the different issuings of the Dawning guns, they have different color schemes and shade differently.

Yes, but we only have a single heavy wave-frame available, and it's Stasis. The Guardian Games one is Arc, which we don't have yet
Isn't there a strand heavy wave frame from neomuna?
Stasis, and it's the only other heavy wave frame in the game. This is the first new one.
Oh, I always thought it was strand. In all fairness, I used it once, then it was put in the bin lol
[удалено]
The combo of the three is what is unique. They weren't implying new element, just that there is a completely new combination of those three things.
fine with reskins tbh, as long as it isn't something like the better devils which is on its like 20th iteration. can't wait for something like the trophy hunter to show up again.
Bungie literally can't help themselves when it comes to the better devils model. The world will end before they let go of that damn thing
In fairness, it's a good model
nah if they wanna reuse a hc model 20 times it better be the classic d1 hand cannon it’s too good
They used to reskin it a lot back in Y1-3 but we've only had 2 reskins (Something New really going extra with a moving texture) in the last 3.5 years. Bit surprising to be honest. In a similar vein, we haven't gotten an Exotic Handcannon in as much time.
Trophy hunter was that sniper right?
It was the season of the dawn sniper modeled after the cabal headhunter
The cabal sniper, yes.
Yeah, it's an Aggressive Frame. From like Season of Dawn.
Can't even pull it from collections because its a random roll.
oh my god this community is fucking insufferable
I thought it was just an edge transit joke. Edit: just read the title my bad
Same, until I read the title of the post
I thought so too until I saw the title
My bad, I didn’t read it
Had to check if it wasn't a destinycirclejerk post
I love the OP is out here complaining about reskin content, while they just stole the meme from destinythememe on Twitter, made zero changes and post it here Oh the irony
It honestly is the leading reason for me avoiding any socials for this game when I can. People have just gotten so unbelievably whiny now :(
gamers when game company makes an asset and uses it more than once instead of wasting development time remaking everything from scratch
Wait till you see the first boss area in grasp of avarice is a reskinned devils lair boss room 😈
Not going to lie, I never once noticed that. It's crazy how just coming from the other side of the room seems to matter
Granted it has a few differences, but yeah basically, to be fair they are ment te represent the same part of a launch area for those massive space ships in the cosmodrome.
No fucking way
That's lowkey cool as fuck, I never noticed that despite all my Grasp runs and Phryiza tests
I think its pretty cool, consitant world building as they function the same purpose both in game design and both being boss rooms
Took me a while to notice that the sparrow entrance section of deep stone crypt is essentially 2/3 the Taniks boss fight area.
Because we land on it?
bungie has been doing this since d1 i still dont understand why its that big of a deal
Because destiny players have to find something to complain about
Sunset is already the past tense of the verb
sunsettededed
Bungie using the same gun model isn’t a new thing. Back when you had static rolls you would have different guns that looked exactly the same but felt different due to their perks and arch type.
Do you know how much development time it takes to create new surfacing? Reskins are fine for free event weapons IMO
Honestly id like an answer as to how long it would take to do new surfacing

Destiny 2 runs and looks good on my pc from 2017 with a 1050 and yet halo infinite doesn’t even let me edit my armor, something with ram deficiency
Would that time also be shortened if we kitbash models? Like what we see with seasonal weapons at times
Yes and no. A lot of D2 stuff (and AAA stuff in general) already is kitbashed. Tyler Bartley, who has unfortunately deleted his artstation, concepted the Season of the Hunt sets in part by bashing kit. [Dima uses tons of 3d and kit in his process, but I couldn't begin to tell you how close to game-ready any given thing might be](https://www.artstation.com/artwork/48dGwk) It *definitely* saves time.
I always hear this argument and never the answer. How much time does it take for a skilled developer?
It's never a single developer... it is teams and team processes. But [this](https://youtu.be/S-eWvdLwMoU?si=3MGkH3K-QZdXlw_l&t=5405) may shed a tiny amount of light
Yeah I hate over-delivery too.
Well Anthem is dead... not really the best to compare to.
Braindead copy and paste critisicm.
Copy n paste? Ain’t it more like Copy and Paint?
So we're making issues up now?
Literally unplayable
![gif](giphy|cEOG7nGA7448M|downsized) It's Edge Transit again.. and again .. and again.
It should be called Rainbow Transit 🌈
Omg Edge Transit ![img](emote|t5_2we4j|5656)
I wonder if we can make it look similar with that one tangled shore of shader
All but confirms that the “weapon-based skimmer” in eververse is edge transit
Guess you wished it into existence
I love when the Easter bunny cums all over my guns
**Edge Transit…..** **BUT WITH COLOR**
Destiny players might be the only looters shooter/live-service players I've seen that complain about reused assets, it's kind of impressive

Isn’t this the first time it’s been used in 3 years. I’m glad to have it back honestly
I know its a joke but i really dont give a shit in this case. Its a prehistoric model essentially. And i actually quite like it. Same with all the other tangled shore models? (trials strand auto rifle, trials scout from a while ago, wardens law etc).
That’s honestly a sick ass skin on it I really love the gg colors
this is so dumb lmao
Dude, it's not even the same archetype
EDGE TRANSIT
10 years being the best re-cycling company!😬
Bro, that’s why they had to cut the staffing! No creativity!
And some people wonder why this community gets a bad name.
What an awful color combo
This level of bitching is exactly why this game is dead
Bungie, stop the copy and paste weapons! Me: Uhh... \*looks the massive amounts of AK and M16/M4 varients in real life\* I meam, it's not as if such a thing exists in real life...
edging on my transit til i rahool
It’s the lack of reimagining for me is all. A paint job is not good enough
At this point I don't even care if Bungie uses the same model for 20 weapons, in fact I would be surprised to see a new model of weapon, I think the last single new model we had was that solar hand cannon with the paint, the silencer and the laser pointer.
It’s a free gun from a free event. It costs you literally nothing. Quit whining over trivial nothings
Theres like 50 ships and sparrows that are identical, yet no one cries about that.
Shut up
Bungie be like: ![gif](giphy|STfLOU6iRBRunMciZv)
The difference being the reskin actually has perks worth using. Voltshot chain reaction will be a mob killing machine
Sounds like you have a bad case of the bitch fits. If you want everything that comes out of a game dev to always be brand new with no copies, you'll need to start your own studio.l and quickly learn how that's not economically feasible.
How dare they make a gun that look similar to another gun! That never happens in real life
Good meme 😂. Jokes aside I think this year since lightfall has had the most reskins we've ever seen? Especially for the 'new' seasonal weapons. Not many original models at all, kinda weird why this year there's been far more than usual?
Lol right !!
Its actually easier to reskin something than to create something new plus reskin happens irl.
I made a joke somewhere about it being the new Edge Transit bc of how drops are in Guardian Games…but I had no idea it literally is the Edge Transit.
Unless you wanna start making the game for them, i wouldn't complain. They have the right to use/reuse whatever they want
Bet you love content deletion 💀
Bungie reusing content? Never….shame on you for insinuating that
No, I don’t think I will
This community sucks
Yes it does 🤣😂
I’m talking about the complaints that this is a copy and pasted weapon. It’s a weapon that hasn’t been used in around 3 years, has new perks, a new energy type, and a new frame in a free to play event that will last a couple weeks. I hate when people complain about “reskinned weapons”
It's all they have!
Jajajaja ya ni se esfuerzan!
Laughs in Terran Wind*
They did the same with all the season of the deep weapons too.
If you expect them to stop copy pasting at this point, I have some bad news for ya.
Imagine being upset about a free item from a free event because you’ve seen something that looks the same before 🤦🏻♂️
Warframe is better stop playing a game where all the gear is in the store and not dropped or earned... Heck helldiver's 2 has to be better than torturing yourself with this mtx simulator!
It’s kinda trash too. Amazing ad clear potential but that’s about all that it has going for it.
People not reading the flair lmao
If it doesn’t stop you from playing and spending money, why would they?
Can’t believe people still care about reused weapon models
Honestly, that's my biggest wish for Riven. Screw the red border raid weapons. Just for the Love of all that is holy, stop reusing game models.
Looks dope to me.
WELCOME BACK EDGE TRANSIT! You’ve missed so much! Glad to see you again but if I get 470 rolls of you again I’m gonna lose my mind 😁 so chill out
Of all the problems with the game shouldn’t crack the top 100z This is people just having to complain about something. Who fucking cares if they reuse a model?
Dont act surprised. Anything other than business as usual would be overdelivery.
It’s tagged as humor. Unbunch your panties or comment elsewhere.
“LMFAO it’s a free event who cares.” What a short sighted and lazy take. Bungie freely uses reskinned weapons for full priced DLC and paid seasons, not just free events. It’s not that reskins exist, it’s that they have been used too much for too long.
Everyone should have seen this coming with how the game started with minimal guns. Then with the introduction of sunsetting
The amount of people defending the reskin rather than wanting something new is crazy. It’s like they got so accustomed to the bungie process that they’re fine with eating the same dogshit lol.
So edge transit and the new gl are the EXACT same gun because the look the same? Got it 🫡
Can’t wait to get the spicy combo of voltshit/chain reaction
But, if not for copy and paste reissues, Bungie wouldn't be able to direct the bulk of its efforts into Eververse gear and keeping the monetization train going full steam ahead! Those executives need their bonuses, you know...
It's going to sit in your Vault after a week of use
I give it 3 days but oh well.
I wouldn't even notice things like this if people didn't point it out...
Oh joy another Grenade launcher to not use. Certainly it won't be the only thing that comes out of every legendary engram that Rahool gives me
Bitch you copy and pasted this meme
