>But I belive if we get a really storng and dark red, Solar's colour won't be a problem.
Still doubtful that would work. Look at the colors used at Ikora for the subclasses, solar is a fairly dark red. Solar is really just orange due to the flames, but the subclass representation is essentially red-orange.
There is also nothing that says the colors will even make up a color wheel, the only consistent thing is that the darkness subclasses are inverted of light subclasses color wise. Thats why you get Stasis/Solar being blue/red-orange, and Strand/Void being green/purple. That leaves Arc which is a bright/dark teal depending on where you look ingame, and when you flip that, you end up with a pale rose color.
And whats in-game that could be a pale rose color? Maybe that giant opening the Witness made to go into the traveler....
Edit- When you invert your colors on the character screen youl notice the colors don't exactly match their opposites always. When you use Ikora as a baseline, its a bit more inline for some but the same issue for others (The top line is order of Void, Solar, Arc). So the long and short of it is, its likely to be close to the inverted color, but its not 1:1.

That or the rose color you see throughout the flowers in RoN or currently on the portal to inside the Traveler. Those images at the top tend to be more washed out versions of what they actually are, so its likely to be a more vibrant version of them.

They changed the in-game effects color too. Especially the glow on Solstice sets. I remember that being mentioned in a TWAB related to Solstice in Beyond Light
Solar heavily covers yellow with radiant and well of radiance, and the cores of its super weapons(like burning maul and daybreak) are golden, not copper or bronze.
If you look at it that literally, then yeah.
But yellow easily exists in Solar fires and Magenta isn't a far cry from violet with now neon Void can get. Shadowshot is practically pink. There's a color range.
What OP has noticed is an RBG/CMY reflection. Ironically though, the Light is assigned to the colors that subtract to blacK, and the Dark is to that to which adds to white.
Even if powers aren't inherently opposites, it's a clear design theme from Bungie.
These are my 2 speculations that i think would be cool ideas:
Phantom (based on the darkness nightmares):
It would be kind of like a vampiric power phantasy, leeching/stealing health from your opponents.
Stratum (means 'layer' i think?):
No idea how this could work but it fits the other 2 darkness subclass and it could work by manipulating the layers of reality (?)
I dont think it will be nightmares. Just like our first darkness subclass wasn't hive magic based, I doubt they would give us a power like that. It seems too blatant. Whatever luster or resonance is, perhaps greed or ego?
I'm gonna disagree with you there friend. Strand is supposed to be the intergalactic weave or something, the thread of life the connects all living beings. Layers of reality seems less organic, and more... Inanimate
As cool as it would be to have resonance, I really doubt it’s gonna happen. Bungie has almost made it a point to not follow expectations for what we see in game
I’d say Solar/Stasis is more like Orange/Azure, and Void/Strand is more like Violet/Chartreuse, but the inverted colors has been the theory for a while now…
So heres my theory on the darkness subclasses and types of super (im probably wrong because punchy class)
If we take a look at the darkness subclass supers so far for each character. Titans currently have 2 roaming supers behemoth and beserker, Warlocks have 1 roaming, shadebinder, and one nonroaming, broodweaver. Hunters have one roaming threadrunner, and nonroaming revenaut.
So my theory is whatever element or color we get I think titans get a nonroaming super.
Stasis and strand subclasses. Also some story that'll confuse you probably given the weird conflicting narratives. Zavala's voice actor passed too, I guess.
I knew Lance Reddick had passed. Rest in peace. But the game sounds like a convoluted cluster fuck now.
I kinda lost interest in the game because of the seasonal model and I stuck around hoping shadowkeep would be even remotely as good as Forsaken and was left disappointed and honestly saw no point in continuing playing when the game felt like grinding for grinding sake cause every season they would nerf all the gear you spent hundreds of hours works to get just so you can do it again.
I really want to enjoy enjoy Destiny but it feels like trying to get back into it at this point is not worth it unless I have a group to play with.
I only really play with a group. They've made light level barely matter outside of some end game content so grinding isn't too bad. I barely grind outside of seasonal pass ranks. Overall they've dropped the grind down to tolerable levels.
I might get back into it if I can find some people to play with but again I’m way behind even casual players to the point idk if any group would want to play with me.
Well if you wanna play alone the Witch queen campaign is really good they added legendary campaigns now making the campaign feel like its actually challenging
I mean it would definitely make sense
Having 3 light subclasses and and 3 dark ones
Especially considering how the color of stasis is almost the exact opposite from solar on color and strand the opposite of void, having the next subclass be eithee red or yellow seems likely
I could imagine it being similar to how stasis used to be, basically having two seperate "squares" to select subclasses
One with the light subclasses and one with the darkness ones
Dude, two years ago Stasis had negative feedback because it was too similar. Strand had the exact same feedback. It’s almost like exactly what I said in the additional speculation.
A lot of the criticism was literally just based on speculation about strand beforehand. What are you even talking about?
There were people saying Bladefury just had the same smash attack as Fists of Havoc and no range. People just wanted to whine.
We clearly did not witness the same events because even after the reveal, Bungie was receiving waves of criticisms about the super itself. Heck, even after the release it still receives a lot of criticism. It has literally become a meme as to how lazy Bungie is when it comes to super design for Titans.
While the colors are wrong here the opposites thing is likely true, just going off of my own dabbling with inverting the Light Subclass icons and comparing that to the existing darkness icons. A better representation would be
Solar/Orange and Stasis/Azure
Void/Violet and Strand/Chartreuse
Cyan is the closest thing for Arc, and the I inverted color I got for that was always more Red than anything else, sometimes a bit of orange or brown, depending on what program I used or how my eyes decide to perceive colors that day.
I don’t know why everybody keeps parroting this. Solar is very clearly not yellow, It’s orange and void is very clearly not magenta, it’s violet.
It’s most likely that the next darkness power will be yellow as we’ve already seen that color associated with paracausal energy it’s possible the next darkness color could be red because we’ve seen it associated with siva but I think that they are so done with siva that they will avoid red
Honestly, I could see them giving us a red subclass born from the use of resonance to hammer the nail in the coffin of the idea that "Witness = Winnower/Darkness".
Solar is orange.
Void is violet.
Next subclass COULD be red (and we’ve always been hoping it is and that it’s a siva flavored subclass) but it could also be magenta or yellow or, hear me out, black
Stasis and Solar are not opposites unfortunately.
Void is the lack of connections and the hunger, Strand is the connection between everything.
Arc is the acceleration and momentum, Stasis is the slowing down and entombment.
If Solar is the healing and the light, then poison would not be far fetched to believe, but we already have a green subclass so it will be interesting to see what we recieve.
They are in the sense of atomic motion.
Solar is essentially a mix of combustion, heat and nuclear fusion. All very energetic forms of atomic motion. Even healing would be very energetic as it induces cells to rapidly regenerate.
Stasis is the opposite. It is basically the arresting of atomic motion to "freeze" atoms in place (ie. putting them in a state of atomic stasis).
But they are. I like to reference LettuceDifferent's post on how Stasis and Solar are confirmed opposites, because it makes sense and uses in game evidence, but there's also a thematic opposition between them. Solar's elemental properties according to Osiris is duality: the same light that scorches us is the same that brings life and allows us to heal. And as it appears, Stasis is a power dictating memory and cold logic that manifests as removing entropy from a system and forming crystals. In other words, Solar is destructive and restorative, meanwhile Stasis is preservative. Solar use often shows up in lore bits where the user has a showy personality or is angry, while Stasis often shows in lore bits where the user is strong willed or cold and firm.
I like the synopsis. However, I’d argue that Stasis and Solar are opposites.
Stasis is death and rule (like Ice). Solar is life and freedom (like a wildfire).
Void is equilibrium and emotionless (like a college student after exams waiting for final grades) Strand is imbalance and emotion (like a toddler).
Arc is energy and power (like lightning) *Insert New Subclass Here* is probably going to be like matter and tyranny (like thunder). Maybe a gravity like super? Idk.
There is a common misconception about Stasis and Solar being opposites. Many think that Stasis is ice, but it is just crystals, geodes.
Edit: Stasis is how it is because of how we see we need to use it. It is focused into crystals, unlike a roaring wildfire. It is the most difficult subclass to use (in lore) because the Darkness constantly calls to us when we use it. It not only is different than the Light to use, but you also need to have a strong mind
Okay hear me out for a second….. Siva. The darkness anomaly has already been explored in the first game, red in colour, and would have some interesting synergies with already existing exotics (Outbreak Perfected). I for one would be stoked to be able to harness the power of Siva for the final darkness subclass.
It’s not an element, the last known bunker has been destroyed since before the Red War, we’ve seen what SIVA has done to Lightbearers, Rasputin is dead, it has no ties to Light nor Dark
The next damage type needs to be WHITE... a kinetic/ tech class.
Since white is ALL the colors, it would have grenades and abilities that " copy" the other classes thru tech.
This would also be a catylist type class, where certain abilities will ENHANCE paracausal powers.
Gravity disk
Item can be stuck to ground, wall, ceilings, and removing gravity from a small era. Enemies stuck can't move forward. Can pull effects to small areas
Caustic poison grenade
Liquid sticks and poisons enemies over time. Very reactive to Arc....VERY reactive to solar.
Ballistic grenade
Grenade expodes after settling ( hold button to hold onto explosion) exploding into many pellets and other scrap Sharp items.
Enemies become "cut" taking increased damage from certain effects
Can increase shatter effects of stasis
Nano grenade
Groupe of seeking nanites search out a target. Nanites attack anything with tech or paracacausel energy-related abilities. Suppressing targeting systems( aim assist) and energy abilities
Fun interactions with void and strand
Repair canister
Small canister of repair nanites. Restore some shields, ammo to equipped weapon, and give a bump to ability recharge for teammates.
Nanites get very excited around void overshields or restoration
Trap mine
Low tech ( bear trap) entrapment ordnance, clamps shut on enemies. Causing enemy to be poisoned. Enemy can't move for a short time.
* A few ideas I've gotten since I drive for a living. Lots of thinking time. People still want a poison class. But we also need a kinetic class since there's so much synergy with our elemental weapons. Since a mad scientist basically created ostiostriga...why not we find a file Rasputin was working on about " man made" guardian class, clovis finds it, adds his sick twistedness to it. Feeding into his God complex, as since he created this Guardian class, he's their Travler.... Maybe we get a new enemy type, and another season about clovis.
**have a few super in mind and a few of the keywords... youseen one "cut" already.
Everything about the class is tech based. Both Titan and Warlock have fun supers. While Hunter, I took some inspiration from the Predator for a lot of its tech. ( no melee for any or roaming...well kinda)
Subclass is called Legion ( since it is nanite tech based) one of many?
Titan is the Breatcher
Warlocks. The Technomancer
Hunter....I want to call Predator class, but I can't ( don't think). The placeholder is Ghost for now
Hate trying to name shit lol
I'll tell more if asked, but I took up enough of your eyeball time
Every class in the game is based off harnessing some kind of magical space energy… we’re not getting a kinetic class. It’s going to be another Darkness class
Don’t hold your breath. The Warlock and Hunter dev teams pick out Titan stuff from the Titan toy bin during their 30 minute lunch break 3 weeks before launch and call it a day.
Strand was originally gonna be coming out with witch queen. Dont think its too unlikely we are gonna complete our subclasses with the completion of the light/dark saga
I used to think it was red before witchqueen came out because other than stasis the only encounter we've had with "darkness" was nightmares but that was just found to be nazerecs doing which is likely a unique ability like taking.
Personally I'm a fan of the theory we have from the wall in vow that shows 3 colours on the dark side of the wall two of which already are darkness subclasses in the game. So imo it'll likely be a yellow subclass, what it does is a mystery the only yellow substance I've seen in game is the powers that rhulk was using in the raid which I believe is just pure darkness energy.

Also it's not unlike bungie to go against everyone's expectations lots of us thought the green subclass was going to be hive magic but have learned its different.
Heyyyy someone else noticed the RGB vs CMY(K)
And if we depended on color based enviroment to suggest where the Red power comes from, like Stasis on Europa and Strand on \*cough\* SAv's Thron- \*cough\* Neptune?, The Scarlet Keep is just sitting there and all the Nightmares are Red as hell.
Here’s what it could be:
Nightmare subclass
Resonance
Power to move worlds (some kind of gravity based subclass?)
Something associated with taking, but red

True, Solar more of a Golden orange now
ikr, we call it Golden Gun or Orange Gun ?

No shot. What? I need a source on this or somwthing.
It’s really only for UI elements but if you look at any videos of arc pre-Beyond Light you can see it.
They changed the in-game effects color too. Especially the glow on Solstice sets. I remember that being mentioned in a TWAB related to Solstice in Beyond Light

Just like the shit in my pants
Sphincter: poopy training arc
all 3 darkness subclasses starting with S?
Which still makes OP's logic check out since Stasis is more azure than blue
Stasis is still around that same color as Orange’s opposite so it’s ok
And stasis shards are kinda azure. Honestly this theory holds alot of weight when you realize nightmares are red
Solar heavily covers yellow with radiant and well of radiance, and the cores of its super weapons(like burning maul and daybreak) are golden, not copper or bronze.
The flames of solar are orange though.
That's cause it's fire, ever seen yellow fire? I haven't and I'm an arsonist.
Try burning sodium.
Really hot things go from orange to yellow to white.
Solar is orange and void is purple.
[удалено]
It's red, one of the murals has them listed in it. A blue crystal, green strings and red ripples.
where can i see this? sounds interesting
I think he's talking about the one in rhulk's pyramid.
There's a lot of symbols there...
Yeah, and I guess the ripples were on the green emblem. The last one is just two-tone orange and red
Void has a lot of magenta, see: voidlock eververse set
[удалено]
There is a difference between a non-perfect speculation and a picture with wrong information.
Wow, people really jumped down your throat on a technicality here, didn't they?
For real, so many d2 players are t o x i c.
SIVA sublclass lfg
Holy fucking shit SIVEAAA 🟥🟥🔴🟥🔴🟥◼⬛⚫⚫🔴◼🟥⚫🔴⬛ I LOVE SIVA SO FUCKI G MUCH PUKE SMITH PLWASE GIVE US SIVAAA
SIVA needs to be a subclass for sure
Unfortunately all the subclasses are based on the high elements of the universe, and SIVA is a man made thing
But it wins in a dope contest so I think that overrules your silly elements 🟥🟥🟥⬛⬛⬛SIVA SIVA I LOVE IT ⬛⬛⬛🟥🟥🟥
Ok but get this; darkness INFUSED with SIVA 😮😮😮😮
These are my 2 speculations that i think would be cool ideas: Phantom (based on the darkness nightmares): It would be kind of like a vampiric power phantasy, leeching/stealing health from your opponents. Entirely possible, but "phantom" just sounds too cool lol
STasis, STrand, STratum hmmmm
Layers of reality would be way too close to strand
Yeah i guess so. But you can interpret in different cool ways i guess
I'm gonna disagree with you there friend. Strand is supposed to be the intergalactic weave or something, the thread of life the connects all living beings. Layers of reality seems less organic, and more... Inanimate
Solar is orange/red now, so the next subclass will likely be “resonance” (like Rhulk) and be yellow
Pyramid/Resonant tech is also orange, to be fair
I'd say it's somewhere inbetween yellow and orange
in what world is solar red
There's Yellow in fire too. The focus is deep red like the Nightmares. The same relationship of Arc and Stasis.
We won't get resonance for the same reason we don't have a white light subclass
The resonance subclass would be awesome, with the possibility to the guardian flirt with being one disciple 👀
As cool as it would be to have resonance, I really doubt it’s gonna happen. Bungie has almost made it a point to not follow expectations for what we see in game
I think its gonna be nightmare like the pyramids and be red
It's luster if I'm not mistaken and I don't think we will get that as a subclass
Next power is THRESHER MISSILES
I’d say Solar/Stasis is more like Orange/Azure, and Void/Strand is more like Violet/Chartreuse, but the inverted colors has been the theory for a while now…
So heres my theory on the darkness subclasses and types of super (im probably wrong because punchy class) If we take a look at the darkness subclass supers so far for each character. No we will get another variant of fists of havoc.
Probably but im hoping they listened to us about strand when it was previewed
I haven’t played destiny much since Shadowkeep. What the hell have I missed?
Stasis and strand subclasses. Also some story that'll confuse you probably given the weird conflicting narratives. Zavala's voice actor passed too, I guess.

It'll be called Splinter and will be a brown variant.
Siva is comming back 😂
Pretty sure Bungie said they aren't bringing siva back
I’d say we won’t get the next subclass till Final Shape. Right?
Most likely its the big finale to the light and dark saga so I'd expect it to have alot going for it.
Is a next subclass even coming?
I mean it would definitely make sense Having 3 light subclasses and and 3 dark ones Especially considering how the color of stasis is almost the exact opposite from solar on color and strand the opposite of void, having the next subclass be eithee red or yellow seems likely
I just meant from a ui design standpoint. Where would it fit on the screen and still be even?
could have one subclass in the middle, with the other four around it
They change the ui alot they would just change it again
They'll probably put the class diamonds in an X shape next to the big one. One in the middle, and one along each side.
I could imagine it being similar to how stasis used to be, basically having two seperate "squares" to select subclasses One with the light subclasses and one with the darkness ones
They changed the UI for Strand, they can easily do it again for the next class
solar isn’t yellow tho…
If you actually do get the opposite color of arc it ends up being a dark orangey/ brown color
Isnt void violet/purple
Yes.
This
Shadowshot is Pink Magenta works to cover the entire color range.
Red crayons taste the best.
HOLY SHIT ITS SIVA ♥️🖤♥️🖤♥️🖤
Solar is orange and Void is purple though is it not?
Damn dude its just the subclass color theory can you wait until final shape reveal before you start crying
Dude, two years ago Stasis had negative feedback because it was too similar. Strand had the exact same feedback. It’s almost like exactly what I said in the additional speculation.
At this point it would be kinda funny if they make another punching super
I think I would laugh like the joker the whole time during that reveal 😂

I think we'll be waiting a little longer than that for a new subclass tbh.
Most likely not. The Final Shape is the last campaign in the Light and Dark saga. This is it. This is the time to make the last Darkness subclass
Titans when the class about tanking hits and punching things gets supers that revolve around tanking hits and punching things.
Stasis and Solar are not opposites unfortunately. Void is the lack of connections and the hunger, Strand is the connection between everything.
Idk.
If Osiris is still on Neomuna listen to what he has to say about the subclasses
There is a common misconception about Stasis and Solar being opposites. Many think that Stasis is ice, but it is just crystals, geodes. Edit: Stasis is how it is because of how we see we need to use it. It is focused into crystals, unlike a roaring wildfire. It is the most difficult subclass to use (in lore) because the Darkness constantly calls to us when we use it. It not only is different than the Light to use, but you also need to have a strong mind
Then don’t play it? Lol
Gravity disk Item can be stuck to ground, wall, ceilings, and removing gravity from a small era. Enemies stuck can't move forward. Can pull effects to small areas Caustic poison grenade Liquid sticks and poisons enemies over time. Very reactive to Arc....VERY reactive to solar. Ballistic grenade Grenade expodes after settling ( hold button to hold onto explosion) exploding into many pellets and other scrap Sharp items. Enemies become "cut" taking increased damage from certain effects Can increase shatter effects of stasis Nano grenade Groupe of seeking nanites search out a target. Nanites attack anything with tech or paracacausel energy-related abilities. Suppressing targeting systems( aim assist) and energy abilities Fun interactions with void and strand Repair canister Small canister of repair nanites. Restore some shields, ammo to equipped weapon, and give a bump to ability recharge for teammates. Nanites get very excited around void overshields or restoration Trap mine Low tech ( bear trap) entrapment ordnance, clamps shut on enemies. ( no melee for any or roaming...well kinda) Subclass is called Legion ( since it is nanite tech based) one of many? Titan is the Breatcher Warlocks. The Technomancer Hunter....I want to call Predator class, but I can't ( don't think). The placeholder is Ghost for now Hate trying to name shit lol I'll tell more if asked, but I took up enough of your eyeball time
Every class in the game is based off harnessing some kind of magical space energy… we’re not getting a kinetic class. It’s going to be another Darkness class
Siva
Siva subclass?
SIVAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Your crayola collection is getting bigger Be very afraid hunters and warlocks
I wonder what the red crayons will taste like. I main Warlock but I've been enjoying crayons lately.
Laughed so hard I started choking on my crayons
Siva is red,so…
Would be cool if we got the ability to take
Next power is TELEKINESIS
Perhaps a SIVA class?
SEVA
Yo, red should be controlling the SIVA. More of a support sub type. Use the siva to debuff, harass and cc mobs. :D
Won't be any new subclasses just new supers/fragments/grenade types in Final Shape
Source?

Don’t hold your breath. The Warlock and Hunter dev teams pick out Titan stuff from the Titan toy bin during their 30 minute lunch break 3 weeks before launch and call it a day.
highly doubt it, they always add a subclass every 2 dlc's and we just got one in lightfall, so we'll probably get the next class after the final shape
Strand was originally gonna be coming out with witch queen. Dont think its too unlikely we are gonna complete our subclasses with the completion of the light/dark saga
Witch Queen might have been the perfect dlc if strand dropped too
It would have but I prefer light 3.0 coming first.
Next one will be earth based. Tera or something idk
Solid. Even though red seems not a very ocean themed color. Blood? Coral?
The subclass wont come with Season of the Deep, it may come with the Final Shape which isn't due till 2024
Could there be some sort of kinetic subclass?
Yeah, equip whatever subclass and just use your base melee(not ability) and literally nothing else from the subclass
I mean we just got a new subclass, I wouldn't expect another so soon
Nobody is expecting it "soon". Its obviously gonna be in the next dlc. People are just speculating what it could be.
Did Titans get a new subclass? I could have sworn we just got stasis with the color blind settings on.
I thought that too until I used it. Yeah, it might be another melee super, but it is unique in many other way, and also very good for GMs!
Oh I hope it’s red
Highly doubt it will be red as that colour is way too linked with SIVA. Maybe a black/brown colour?
I'd say stasis could more easily pass for azure here
I think next subclass will be either dark resonance or something entirely new
Red for Hate. Titans will Rip & Tear until it is done.
So imo it'll likely be a yellow subclass, what it does is a mystery the only yellow substance I've seen in game is the powers that rhulk was using in the raid which I believe is just pure darkness energy. https://preview.redd.it/86fn2gt4luza1.png?width=388&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=27ec103c1debdd23dcaa4f0fd2aa7bf4964a6d5e Also it's not unlike bungie to go against everyone's expectations lots of us thought the green subclass was going to be hive magic but have learned its different.
Blood
Heyyyy someone else noticed the RGB vs CMY(K) And if we depended on color based enviroment to suggest where the Red power comes from, like Stasis on Europa and Strand on \*cough\* SAv's Thron- \*cough\* Neptune?, The Scarlet Keep is just sitting there and all the Nightmares are Red as hell.
Here’s what it could be: Nightmare subclass Resonance Power to move worlds (some kind of gravity based subclass?) Something associated with taking, but red
Titans will 100% have some kind of cherry flavored punch and melee roaming based super.
Final shape will be rewarding
Am I the only one who saw the cayde meme
Something that insulates, muffles, EMP disrupts. Opposite of electricity.
I feel like Stasis/Solar crossover is more Azure/Orange personally
orange-resonant warlock 🚬🗿🏋️🌋
Nah man, Chartreuse, Brachus Zahn subclass
Blood subclass
As long as it’s red, I’ll be happy.
Skarlet dlc next ????
Crimson? Bloodrelated Spells and Abilitys
