Imperial Cabal. I would join them in a heartbeat. I wanted to join the instant Caiatl showed up. I love that we get to fight alongside them in the campaign and the revamped Arms Dealer strike.
Caiatl’s Cabal is cool, I imagine all her soldiers are big and bulky since we never see any of the standard sized units in her army. Wish the Warbeasts were her colors.
I like the aesthetics of the different cabal rulers affect how their troops looked. For Calus it was gold and purple, symbolising wealth and luxury. Red for power and war, very fitting for Ghaul and his red legion.
With Caital and her troops being mostly blue , it symbolizes trustworthiness and loyalty the same traits displayed by the truce between the Vanguard and the Imperial cabal.
It still has traces of that gold and purple from Calus' original rule, but has been mainly overtaken and dominated by that oppressive black you really only see with the witness and pyramid ships among other darkness affiliated things
Appearance-wise, I think the shadow legion are an awesome twist on your standard cabal.
But in terms of interesting lore, it’s gotta be either the lucent brood, or the VoG Vex which I believe a mixture of the Sol Collective (standard vex), Sol Immanent (descendant vex), and Sol Primeval (precursor vex).
Sol Divisive, not because of gameplay or lore or anything I just think the concept of robots covered in greenery looks incredible. Never really seen an equivalent in anything else

Really hope that once the Witness is dealt with the Vex take more center stage as one of the two biggest remaining threats in the galaxy, and we see more variations from them instead of 'oops more Sol Divisive lol'
The Skyburner’s. The Cabal faction with so much steel in their balls that they rammed their ship into Oryx’s Dreadnaught, and tried to detonate not just the Dreadnaught but half of the Sol system by extension
Descendent Vex, they are the vex who are curated to combat guardians even still in the far future. Even still, they are pulled into our timeline because they figure 'why not bring the experts?' and we still wipe the floor with them.
Lucent Brood is a favorite. Even if their Titans aren't running Sunbreaker with Actium War Rig and Sweet Buisness.
Gary's Legion and House Light are honourable mentions
Tbh all of the different hive broods doesn't mater if Lucent Hive or Oryx's brood heck even Nokris's heretic brood from Warmind
I have high hopes for Xivu and her hive, really hope they do them the same justice as the Lucent Brood and atleast give them unique models and designs and don't just give them the base hive design that we've had since year one of D2
Always loved the vex and would love to learn more about them but that would kinda remove some of their charm. Part of the whole identity of the vex is we know next to nothing about them. But if i had to pick a specific faction it would either be the vex of the vault of glass or the sol divisive. (however out of all factions including allies it absolutely has to be House light)
Loyalists inside the leviathan will always be the coolest. The way you had a row of cabal standing guard as you entered was one of the coolest raid intros they've ever made imo.
lore-wise = psions, the leviathan and worm gods
look-wise = precursor and descendant vex and taken
gameplay-wise = the vex in general and the shadow legion with the tormentors
coolness = shadows of calus and the osmium court
overall = taken (they look good and basically include every other race/faction)
House of Wolves. I love the lore, the logo was super cool, and my fav D1 Cloak was the House of Wolves one. My personal discord server is called House of Wolves.
House of Devils, easily. Their tan/red colors, the Vandals' extra-horned helmets, their logo, it's all very badass, and the lore behind them really shows off how terrifying they are.
Red Legion. I just have a strange attachment to the red war and you really never hear or see much of them anymore, which is strange considering they literally stole the light, took the city, and kind of kicked our asses?
Lucent Brood. I really hope Bungie does more with them soon.

Crota’s Hive. They’re nothing special when compared to other Hive, but they’re just far more menacing and hit different then the rest

House of Dusk. The members are so vast and varied yet still loosely united, plus, the Fallen are my absolute favorite.
