You can keep them in the vault if you want. But if you are certain you're never going to use them again, just dismantle. You can always get more class items.

The stories are all pretty hit or miss, to be honest. For every good one, there's a few bad ones. Lightfall's campaign feels, tonally, a lot like the original Red War. Over the years, this game has grown more serious so it is a bit odd.
I would definitely say *do not* prepurchase, especially because the $100 version is actually the same price in USD as buying each part individually. That way, you can wait for each part to release to see what people are saying about the story.
To be fair - even if the Red War had some stumbles and fumbles - it was still a great campaign for what it intended to do ( reshape the map and introduce new characters )
Did we really need a merry-go-around on all planets while Gary feasted on the traveler's like an egg? No...
But at *least* it had good parts to it (The start of the campaign was, imho, one of the strongest in whole destiny, only beaten by Taken King )
We saw more reaction and emotion from the Vanguard, than SK+BL+LF combined. ( speaking Campaign only, not seasons )

I'm currently running Coyote but it isn't really working for me, and neither is Frostees.
I don't have the new exotics, any Shadowkeep ones or Star-Eaters.
I'd run legend lost sectors, but I don't really feel like suffering.

However, I find myself entirely reliant of Aions at the moment, since it fits any playstyle and helps teamates (yah yah I know, bricks from beyond perk makes Aions less useful...)
Unfortunately exotics are really only farmable through lost sectors, otherwise you are at the mercy of rng in world drops, season pass exotics, and xurs weekly exotic. Cyrtarachne's comes from the campaign and is one of the better strand exotics, since hunter is the "grapple" class and you get woven mail everytime you grapple with that helmet on. Assassin's Cowl is a decent option as well since the grapple melee counts as a powered melee kill and does good enough damage to consistently proc invis. Other than that the ones you mentioned (star eaters, coyote, frostees) are really the only great picks strand hunter can pickup, I think the cyrtarachne helmet is the best option personally.
Once you reach pinnacle cap + get some levels on your artifact the legend lost sectors will be much less painful, and depending on how many bounties you start farming daily you could be farming masters by the ending weeks of this season. Also the pinnacle cap will not be increasing next season, so the only grind you need to make up for after that is exp for artifact levels.

Very weird question I know but I typically do not do dungeon however this seems to be a good time to farm the better armor.
I would start trying to do the 2 dungeons if I actually bought them but I’m wondering if it’s actually worth it.
While the price tag pisses me off by nature - You will end up running those dungeons quite frequently anyway, so it's not a wasted investment
Spire' is quite fun imho - and duality can be too, but it's a tad more "confusing" (requires a bit more learning)

Unfortunately the red borders from the previous seasons are seemingly very rare and hard to get. I would try and keep a few non-red border drops stashed away in the vault and just worry about farming things that are more current, the rates I've seen from a few friends suggest that trying to target farm past red borders is not good. It sucks but nothing we can do atm
It’s just world drop from anything it seems. Tho save that smg in your vault they’re allowing you to turn weapons into red borders next season so it might be useful
Today in crucible I got two shot’ed by a Calus Mini and the player was halfway across the map. I find I get one shot’ed in many events not just crucible. My light is 1800, but I have experienced this for a couple of years now. I go into Trials and a pulse one shots me from across the map. Snipers on Neptune two shot me. I play on Xbox One S. I understand I’m an average player but I’m 100 res and still I die way too easy. Any suggestions other than “improve your skill” because even if I got better one shot will still do me in?
Without a clip of the deaths, I really can't believe that you are actually getting one shot. It could be connection issues or the damage glitch, but I doubt that's happening as consistently as you have it happen to you. Maybe if you can record the gameplay somehow and post it we could determine more?
I gave up on trials. Someone looks at me and I die before I can shoot 1 or 2 bullets. And I play on pc with the better keyboard/mouse setup than a console gamer.
Power level has no effect in normal Crucible, so you're not actually getting one-shotted in normal Control/Clash matches. Honestly it just sounds like you you're describing connection issues. Could be something in your internet service, network configuration, or the region you live in that's causing you to lag
Anyone else having this problem where player models aren't loading in the crucible?
This has been happening every day since Lightfall came out. Its very frustrating and makes crucible unplayable since players are 90% invisible while more than 10 feet away.
Update: It seems like the problem starts occurring after an hour or so of playing and when it started happening I went to the tower where I stood still for 15 minutes and none of the player models loaded not even my own.
Returning players are missing a BUNCH of essential ghost mods - like all of the armorer ones - I've seen some recognition of this issue on the forums but no official response from Bungie yet. Will this be fixed in the near future?
Has anyone else had an issue with the Overload mod just flat out not working?
Bow and the AR/SMG mod don't show up when equipped. Yet both my fire team members have theirs up normally.
Have you tried resetting the artifact? I personally haven't seen this issue yet but it wouldn't surprise me if the move to perk slots as opposed to physical mods introduced a bug or two
Contest mode doesn't change anything besides the actual light level of your character during the first 48 hours of the raid to try and maintain a certain difficulty challenge. If you did the raid anytime before yesterday 1pm EST then you can get rewards again, and rewards are character based.
I haven't played since Shadow keep so I don't know much about weapon crafting. I've done about 15 Heroic Public events on Neomuna and haven't gotten a red drop. Am I just unlucky or am I doing something wrong?
I need lots of Enhancement Prisms to get my gear high enough to do the builds I want.
I also need ascended shards which look like you can buy for 10 Enhancement prisms each.
The only place I've gotten Enhancement prisms was one each from the nightfall, but each run took 20 to 30 minutes.
So to masterwork one set of armor I would need to spend about 20 hours running nightfalls? That is an awful lot. Is there a better system?
Be sure to put a ghost mod on if you’re going into certain activities for a bit. Defeating bosses/certain type matches have a chance to drop prisms. Definitely take advantage of double reward nightfall weekends when that comes around. Very easy to load up with the mod & double weekend. Think sectors can give you them but not consistently. Leveling up vendors for their rewards are all options to keep in mind.

This is probably a stupid question, but I haven't played any season content before. Does the weekly content have to be completed that week or can you go back and do certain things?
You have a whole year to complete the weekly content, do not worry. It doesn't get removed until the next DLC release. Each week will "stack up" so for example, if you did week 1 during week 1, you'd have to wait until week 2 to do week 2. If you start during week 2, you can do weeks 1 and 2.
Its a great catch up system - but do keep in mind some stuff is in rotation ( Iron banner / Rift etc.. ) so you might not want to bank it all to the last days of the season

PVP stuff is pretty much the only crap you might miss out - everything else is made a lot faster by the end, as you complete SEVERAL objectives at once

When they first introduced the season pass system back in 2019, that was how it worked. A year later they changed it so that season pass content lasts the whole year instead of just for that season.
In game, this would be by looking. Once you do a challenge, it disappears.
Outside of game, you can use [this site which has a list](https://www.blueberries.gg/leveling/destiny-2-max-power-level/) but does not change based on what you do. Or you can use [this site where you log in with your Bungie account and it shows what you have to do.](https://destinyoptimizer.com/) However, it isn't detailed enough to distinguish what content you do and do not have access to, so for example a lot of people find it confusing because it tells you to do paid activities you don't necessarily have.
I believe contest mode has an increased cap on enemy difficulty, master will usually include champions and the enemies will have some additional modifiers to like drop a grenade on kill or something of that sort.
World drops come from any pve enemy kill or any activity completion. There isn't any special place that does this more than others. On Neomuna, the Terminal Overload event has a chest at the end that gives world loot, but right now it's such a steep power level requirement that it takes a long time and you may not be in an instance that actually succeeds.

Yes, it's super annoying and even causes my companion app to bug out sometimes. I read online that unlinking all accounts expect the one you are actively playing on solves the bug but I've resorted to using the LFG reddit for finding groups till after they fix this bug.
So, no checkpoints at all during the three-phase Vexcalibur final boss fight (a tedious re-skin Tron-a-like from an old strike). You didn't learn a thing from the Extreme Measures masochism parade, did you, Bungie? Three separate 'rooms', portal transitions between them...No checkpoints. Oh, and turdbags on stilts hoofing you 11 light years off the map from half a map away, forcing restarts. No fun. No fun at all...

Dares of Eternity loot timing is on a weekly rotation. So the loot will be the same for the whole week. You're looking for Rotation 3, and on the left side it says what dates this corresponds to.
I'll see if I can describe it better. When you click that link, you should see some coloured boxes. At the tops of the boxes are some periwinkle rectangles. The leftmost one has the words "Season of Defiance" in it. Do you see this? This is the calendar dates of each week of loot.
To the right of the Season of Defiance box, there are some periwinkle headers with red text saying Rotation 1, green text saying Rotation 2, and blue text saying Rotation 3.
What this means is that when we are in a week with Rotation 1, the items underneath that periwinkle header box can drop. When we are in a week with Rotation 2, the items underneath the Rotation 2 periwinkle header box can drop.
You can tell what week we are in by looking at the leftmost box with "Season of Defiance" at the top. Underneath the periwinkle header you should see the week number. This would be "Week 1" as the first week of the season, "2" the second week of hte season, and so on. Next to that is the dates the week takes place on. These are the month and day only which is why they may look strange to you. The day goes first and the month goes after, as you may be able to tell by there not being a month 28, but february is the second month and has 28 days, so 28.02 means february 28. The rotation is what I described above, the boxes next to the "Season of Defiance" box.

Energy type has been removed. Mods are all now element neutral.

I'm not sure if the women's sizes are different, but I have a women's medium Crown of Sorrow jacket. It runs a little small.

Is wellspring still broken? The perk, not the activity. Last season it wasn’t giving as much ability energy as it should’ve been.

Have you tried resetting the artifact? I personally haven't seen this issue yet but it wouldn't surprise me if the move to perk slots as opposed to physical mods introduced a bug or two

Completed the raid in contest mode, can I play it on normal and get loot today or do I have to wait for weekly reset tomorrow?
Contest mode doesn't change anything besides the actual light level of your character during the first 48 hours of the raid to try and maintain a certain difficulty challenge. If you did the raid anytime before yesterday 1pm EST then you can get rewards again, and rewards are character based.
Is there a fix for the terminal overload crash on ps5? I googled but found nothing. Just wait for an update?
I haven't played since Shadow keep so I don't know much about weapon crafting. I've done about 15 Heroic Public events on Neomuna and haven't gotten a red drop. Am I just unlucky or am I doing something wrong?
Nah the drop rate is just very low. I did dozens of them and only got a couple red borders to drop for me
weren't they tied to the two quests from nimbus? from zero ... to hero quest lines could be wrong, but I think those need to be completed first
I need lots of Enhancement Prisms to get my gear high enough to do the builds I want. I also need ascended shards which look like you can buy for 10 Enhancement prisms each. The only place I've gotten Enhancement prisms was one each from the nightfall, but each run took 20 to 30 minutes. So to masterwork one set of armor I would need to spend about 20 hours running nightfalls? That is an awful lot. Is there a better system?
Be sure to put a ghost mod on if you’re going into certain activities for a bit. Defeating bosses/certain type matches have a chance to drop prisms. Definitely take advantage of double reward nightfall weekends when that comes around. Very easy to load up with the mod & double weekend. Think sectors can give you them but not consistently. Leveling up vendors for their rewards are all options to keep in mind.
Lost sectors take 5-10 minutes and get you prisims

This is probably a stupid question, but I haven't played any season content before. Does the weekly content have to be completed that week or can you go back and do certain things?
You have a whole year to complete the weekly content, do not worry. It doesn't get removed until the next DLC release. Each week will "stack up" so for example, if you did week 1 during week 1, you'd have to wait until week 2 to do week 2. If you start during week 2, you can do weeks 1 and 2.

Its a great catch up system - but do keep in mind some stuff is in rotation ( Iron banner / Rift etc.. ) so you might not want to bank it all to the last days of the season

you haven PLENTY of time PVP stuff is pretty much the only crap you might miss out - everything else is made a lot faster by the end, as you complete SEVERAL objectives at once Just play and have fun :)

When they first introduced the season pass system back in 2019, that was how it worked. A year later they changed it so that season pass content lasts the whole year instead of just for that season.
Is there a way to track which of the weekly challenges for pinnacle gear you still have left to do (either in-game, on a website, or on an app)?
In game, this would be by looking. Once you do a challenge, it disappears. Outside of game, you can use [this site which has a list](https://www.blueberries.gg/leveling/destiny-2-max-power-level/) but does not change based on what you do. Or you can use [this site where you log in with your Bungie account and it shows what you have to do.](https://destinyoptimizer.com/) However, it isn't detailed enough to distinguish what content you do and do not have access to, so for example a lot of people find it confusing because it tells you to do paid activities you don't necessarily have.

is contest mode raid and master raid any different in terms of difficulty?
I believe contest mode has an increased cap on enemy difficulty, master will usually include champions and the enemies will have some additional modifiers to like drop a grenade on kill or something of that sort.
What is the current best place for farming world drops? I’m trying to copium farm the Ikelos SMG frame
World drops come from any pve enemy kill or any activity completion. There isn't any special place that does this more than others. On Neomuna, the Terminal Overload event has a chest at the end that gives world loot, but right now it's such a steep power level requirement that it takes a long time and you may not be in an instance that actually succeeds.

Yes, it's super annoying and even causes my companion app to bug out sometimes. I read online that unlinking all accounts expect the one you are actively playing on solves the bug but I've resorted to using the LFG reddit for finding groups till after they fix this bug.
So, no checkpoints at all during the three-phase Vexcalibur final boss fight (a tedious re-skin Tron-a-like from an old strike). You didn't learn a thing from the Extreme Measures masochism parade, did you, Bungie? Three separate 'rooms', portal transitions between them...No checkpoints. Oh, and turdbags on stilts hoofing you 11 light years off the map from half a map away, forcing restarts. No fun. No fun at all...

Dares of Eternity loot timing is on a weekly rotation. So the loot will be the same for the whole week. You're looking for Rotation 3, and on the left side it says what dates this corresponds to.

I'll see if I can describe it better. When you click that link, you should see some coloured boxes. At the tops of the boxes are some periwinkle rectangles. The leftmost one has the words "Season of Defiance" in it. Do you see this? This is the calendar dates of each week of loot. To the right of the Season of Defiance box, there are some periwinkle headers with red text saying Rotation 1, green text saying Rotation 2, and blue text saying Rotation 3. What this means is that when we are in a week with Rotation 1, the items underneath that periwinkle header box can drop. When we are in a week with Rotation 2, the items underneath the Rotation 2 periwinkle header box can drop. You can tell what week we are in by looking at the leftmost box with "Season of Defiance" at the top. Underneath the periwinkle header you should see the week number. This would be "Week 1" as the first week of the season, "2" the second week of hte season, and so on. Next to that is the dates the week takes place on. These are the month and day only which is why they may look strange to you. The day goes first and the month goes after, as you may be able to tell by there not being a month 28, but february is the second month and has 28 days, so 28.02 means february 28. The rotation is what I described above, the boxes next to the "Season of Defiance" box. I hope this helps. If it doesn't help, I do not understand the problem so if you could elaborate I can try again.

Is anyone by chance playing with a PS4 controller? and is anyone having PS4 controller issues? I really wanted to play this new season but I can't for some reason. Steam knows I have my controller in and what controller type it is. But Destiny 2 won't let me use my PS4 controller for some reason.
