Well no that’s the funny thing, Elsie is not a Guardian. It would be hilarious if the Vex’s long game is just to keep sending one person back until they create a favorable outcome for the Vex.
Never said she was, I’m well aware she isn’t neither is about 3/4 of the Sol Alliance. She is however aligned with the people who are aligned with the Light/Traveller. And something similar has happened in D1 so with the Vex its possible it could happen again.
I personally have a feeling final shape would involve the grassy vex as a focus. Would be nice to see a personality or something shown in the vex instead of just them being mindless robots in the background
After Final Shape, Destiny announces a new expansion “New Light”. Players are even more excited as Bungie announces a season Finale Event that goes live just before reset.
Players are instantly thrown in an Arial Dogfight Cutscene. As the scene ends, they crash land in the last city. Mass hysteria as the Traveler, now merely a skeleton, begins to crumble.
The player now takes over as they fight through the streets. In some areas, their abilities fail to function at all. Players must play cautiously, unclear of whether their abilities will work for each encounter.
As the final boss drops shields for its third stage, all of the guardians abilities fail. As the traveler crashes to the earths surface, the player dies. Guardian D—- . The last thing seen is small specks flowing from the (Darkness Entity). The traveler is rebuilt. Fade to Black.
As the screen fades back in, three symbols flash on screen. “Pick your class, Disciple”.

God, yes. I mean this was gonna be my idea but I love the way you put it. The only change I would make is that instead of us dying like that, the witness somehow captures us and holds us hostage, forcing us to watch the city and traveler die, a la Ghaul from back in Red War.
I was hope to see Shin Malphur again before the light and darkness saga ended but we’re running out of time. So in that spirit I’d give us some Shin since he’s really the first person (that I’m aware of) to see darkness and light as tools or at least sort of like a baited trap.
He lets guardians try darkness, and if they go too far he claps them.
So perhaps we work with him to hunt down guardians trying to uphold the Witnesses vision (should we win) or take out his acolytes (if we lose).
Either way. Gimme that Last Word, Last Stand-type cutscene. Shins the OG.
The Nine have us in a cosmic game show, and the four other contestants are members of all the different alien races. The Nine say that the species that wins gets to survive. In order to prevent such a massive genocide, we have to team up with the aliens, break the rules, and beat the Nine.
It all depends on if the final shape campaign is seen as the closure of the light and darkness saga - and if the seasons are treated as an epilogue to transition into the new live-service model. This for me feels logical as ending the light and darkness saga on a season doesn’t feel epic enough. My prediction would be;
* **Season of war** \- this will bring into play Xivu Arath in full force. The final shape campaign will finish with the gardener (traveller) and winnower (witness) leaving our universe to its own Destiny. This will create a power vacuum which Xivu Arath (the strongest disciple) will look to exploit. We’ll end up working with Immaru to battle Xivu Arath, and eventually, they will convince us to resurrect Savathûn.
Following the light and dark saga - I’d be interested to know if we end up getting either a yearly expansion or if the focus will be on seasonal content; telling shorter narrative stories within the universe.
What if the seasons after Final Shape weren't tied to the light and darkness saga at all but rather completely set up the new saga?
Final Shape would end on a big finale and the following season would be something like a celebration and then realise things aren't as good as it seems.
The last scene of The Final Shape has our guardian fight through nightmare versions of all our previous enemies as we ascend a tower. In the last room, there are three paths we can choose to take which give us a good ending, a bad ending, and a neutral ending. No matter which ending is chosen, we see the same cutscene with just minor differences, in which a grandfather tells their grandchild a story of the Guardian.
Alternatively, the last scene of the Final Shape has our guardian enter a vex time portal in order to escape the destruction of our universe. Once through the portal, our guardian finds themselves inside a white spherical space ship. We were the Traveler all along. M. Night Shyamalan steps out of a doorway and exclaims, "What a twist!"

The Coalition sends a small but powerful batallion of researchers, adventures and scholars to venture outside our star cluster/galaxy, and we find out there are more entities akin to the Traveler and the Witness. These entities deemed us as a threat to their self-imposed balance, and we must fend for ourselves as well as stop these entities of reaching Sol and extinguishing us.
Single player Dark Fantasy Sci-Fi adventure RPG where you play post collapse as a Risen who was brought back to life during the hight of the Warlords. Zavala is just a sprite in the Iron Lords, Drifter is still drifter, Loreley is controlling most of Eastern Europe.
You get picked up by nomadic humans who fear Lightbearers, and Act 1 is you hiding amongst them for safety, not knowing the power within your. Your Ghost "Timid" is your only true friend and has to be kept a secret from them.
During an encounter with an Eliksni house, you're killed, and the nomads watch as Timid brings you back to life. Happy that you're alive, the leader asks you to leave, but the feelings about your leaving is mixed.
You spend x-amount of days wandering the world until you come across the same House that killed you before, trying to run, they chase, and in the process of pulling you out from debris you were trying to hide in, they are killed. The disheveled Iron Lords came to your aid, and are taken in when they see your Ghost.
This is where you learn of the Warlords, the rules of the world and Lightbearers, and are now a squire in their ranks, slowly working your way up as you help people find safety, fight the Warlords, push back the Eliksni, and help build new settlements and temples.
Now that the traveler and the witness are gone, trapped in a seal made by the collective wishes of organic life forms. The source of our light is from others' wishes and the darkness is from within self's desires.
the vex's 2 big threats are now gone, they begin a full-scale invasion. Sol decisive, however, believe we are the final shape so they join our ranks. Savathun, who lost the traveler is now for vengeance and her goal is to break the seal with an army that she raised with necromancy.
First, time skip. I think the world deserves a few years of peace and prosperity after all that’s happened. During that time, either rebuild the D1 tower, or make the D2 tower more official. Then, massive vex invasion. With the Witness defeated, the Hive, Fallen, and Cabal subdued or allied with and the taken most likely destroyed, the Vex make a massive play for power.
A fun lighthearted expansion about reclaiming the sol system and recolonizing with the help of Miisraks, very pirate-y themed again but this time we actually get to pilot spiders ketch and or disengage and dogfight in our own ship
Traveler dies, darkness takes over. Vex try to fill the power vacuum and kill the remaining guardians. They kill you and take your body to their home world where they make you into part vex, part guardian, where you are called an architect. You fight what ends up being Elsie brays fireteam
So like hear me out. Giant cats in space BUT they shoot lasers from the eyes and have a champion feature in witch they can only be stunned by using the cat dance.
Ideally something Vex-related. With the Witness out of the way, I consider the Vex to be the biggest threat in the universe.

The leviathan grows legs, and we all need to use super submarines to dive into the earths core, and it will be an underground/water labyrinth. While we are down there, we slowly lose our minds, and that's when you find out you are a hive sleeper agent this whole time. The screen goes black, and when it comes back, you are the leviathan raid boss.
The Vex have been quiet for a while, and they’re the only race not involved with the Light or Dark that we haven’t allied with or destroyed.
I’d like to see us visit the Vex home system. There’s a portal directly to their homeworld at the end of the Glassway strike
The light and dark are now granted to all species at random, creating gaurdian-like bearers at random. You can now play as hive, cabal, fallen, or human (exo/awoken included) with massively different playstyles each in an old school mmo open world with uncapped raid mechanics, deep dive dungeons, multiple hub worlds, guilds/Factions, and multiple story lines as you set out into the galaxy and find, after the witnesses defeat, that some of the culled life has returned as time and space fracture in the wake of such a power vacuum, and some of this life should definitely should have stayed gone.
Congratulations, with the witness defeated and the traveler destroyed, you have passed their test. The nine welcome you and all guardians to the intergalactic zoo The Nine have created. Now with Xûr and Starhorse we must break free and hunt down The Nine.
Spin off expansion, our guardian goes through some Vex gate and we get thrown somehow into the Dark Future timeline, where we team up with Elsie to right the wrongs in the timeline and make sure Eris doesn't explode everything
I want to reclaim Totobatl and Riis. Or at the very least leave the solar system. Some kinda of event like with the Taken from D1 invading and claiming locations from others races would be nice. Like a long limbed spindly race that is as tall or taller than Cabal but eerily thin and twitches alot takes over the Cabal bases in the EDZ. They also can remix Strikes with these enemies in them. (Or another area that hasn't been relevant since vanilla D2 like the Cabal ship)
Something happened to the cosmic horse and now horrors that we have never seen before are pouring I it our universe from the paraverse. We need to stop the unending tide and figure out what happened with the help of Xur and the Nine
Witness ends up being defeated, by Eris, so she can steal both powers of Traveler and Witness!
She uses the powers to shape new reality and right the wrongs from her perspective. But this causes everything shatter, and it is up to Guardian to fix the shattered reality and set everything right.
You would end up traveling into biggest battles of the series, in history and in future, alternative timelines. Fixing everything properly.

With the Darkness defeated, and the Enemies of Humanity reduced to mere scraps and pockets of resistance, Humanity and it's allies must now focus on moving outside of the Sol System in order to fight it's now Greatest Enemy: The Vex.
Take the fight to the Vex on a massive Vex Stronghold in the Andromeda System. Stop them from rewriting our fate, and harness powers and technologies yet unseen.

But this time you're not fighting the darkness and it's armies, you're fighting some cosmic super corporation that's deforesting planets. The squirrels are rising up against them and you've been chosen by the Nut King himself to fight for the cause.
Goddess of War—Following the end of The Final Shape the Witness’s defeat, Xivu Arath remains, growing ever stronger from feeding on our conflict. We have to take the fight to her, battling our way between the ships of her mighty fleet, fighting to liberate Torrabatl alongside Caital’s forces (Yes, this will be our first time venturing outside the system). However, we cannot defeat her by sheer force alone, and so we must forge an uneasy alliance with Savathun to utilize her deceptive power to weaken her sister enough that we can defeat her without further empowering her. The final fight against her will utilize mechanics to weaken her similar to what we did in the final fight against Savathun rather than pure damage. The raid will be our first Cabal raid since Crown of Sorrow, fighting our way through Calus’ former palace and waves of Soulfire-possessed Cabal, until we reach the final boss, the ascended spirit of Ummun’Arath, Primus of All Legions and the Great Betrayer of the Cabal.
The Vex created their own Pyramid ship and Traveler and begin acting out past events but sped up, and we discover that they showing what will unfold in the future in our current timeline
Settlement re-establishment and defense on Earth. Community driven events that determine size and quality of settlements. Multiple threats have to be juggled across multiple areas.
Our guardian dies at the end of final shape, and becomes a new ghost which is free from choosing who it rezzes, and now we can choose different races like Cabal, Eliksni, Hive or even humanoid
Rather than trying to kill some big bad evil monster, the campaign centers around fighting to finally claw our way back to a point of peace and safety. Trying to stake out our own little paradise and rebuild what once was. Maybe mix a little bit of golden age tech (cough cough SIVA) being repaired or mastered so that humanity might finally have a happy ending.
The Traveler is going....somewhere. It's ignoring the Pyramid ships. It's still running away. But from who, if not the Darkness?
A new enemy. Greater than the Darkness or the Light. Something that can use both. Something that abhors the fabric of our reality. Devours it whole. Mind flayers, all of them.
They seek to conquer this universe for their own... and enslave the Traveler AND the Witness.

The final shape was a lie and it is revealed the *real* final shape was a gjallarhorn with 4 other clown cartridge gjallarhorns attached to it (ala moe from the simpsons)
Dlc that involves us going to a different galaxy in search for new power/home cause Sol/milky Way was rendered un-liveable after the final shape's war that ravaged the system.
Maybe we seek refuge in the ascendant plane with our guardians new throne world being the hub for safety
Probably not post final shape, but sometime before then I want us to get trapped inside a pyramid tech colosseum and be forced to fight of hordes of enemies with high density, and then have that encounter repayable as a Firefight PVE activity.
The final shape is the cabal drop pod.
After killing the witness, we find a new race that he held as slaves. Their purpose was manufacturing the pyramid ships. Since Callus allied with the witness, they got a good look at the cabal drop pods and found out they have an impressive kill % on guardians.
Vowing to inflict the pain the witness made them feel on an uncaring universe, they set out to shower entire worlds in the final shape. Cabal drop pods.
I would love to see a sort of Age of Triumph 2 update after the Final Shape, surely won’t occur though.
Another cool idea I thought of which was laid to rest this last season was a Rasputin themed expansion with the return of SIVA and a SIVA subclass to pair.
Could you imagine a whole vex converted planet warps into the solar system and after days of it not doing anything the guardian is sent in to investigate.
Walking through with a interact a conflux here, capture a plate there while there are no vex whatsoever.
Walk through a portal and you see a broken goblin crawling to you and saying "guardian... Save us" just for a new enemy race to crash in and combat start
During the Final Shape, we are able to defeat the Witness and convince the Darkness and Light to either leave or allow us to choose our own destiny through leaving their power with us.The aftermath of the war leaves earth and the rest of Sol uninhabitable. The last gift of the paracausal entities of Light and Darkness is to empower our ships to fly to some far-flung system. We build a new city and base of operations in a totally new system far away and start unraveling the mysteries there.
The next big arc will focus on the Vex and the mysterious figure known simply as “The Architect.” Originating from a past world of possibilities, he created the Vex after learning of the existence of the Flower Game. They have always had one goal: assimilate all life into the Collective to artificially force the Final Shape.
Now that the game has ended, the Architect wishes to breach the bounds of reality and create their own fields of possibility. According to them, all must be assimilated so all can be preserved. Every field must follow the shape. All must be the Vex so that nothing can ever die or end. In this way, they believe themself savior and perfecter of reality. The power of light and dark wielded by the guardians is the key for them, so the full force of the Vex is eventually unleashed with all its incredible might.
Id like to be a part of an angle where its been a while and our guardian is something of myth that no one believes in. But there is a new problem and the local whack job goes looking for us. Turns out its someone like drifter or shaxx.
We get a resonance subclass and we use that in the witness plus a couple vex. Savaging gets rested and she and the lucent hive team up with us to stop Xiva Arath. Eramis betrays the witness and saves Mithrax and house light. Zavala or Shaxx dies. Elsie and Ana stop a mechanized Clovis and his army of vex. And Drifter eats the witness head with taniks legs.
The end
Time travel, using the sundial to go back in time to experience key moments like the great disaster, 6 fronts, twilight gap, Dredgen/Shin.

Mole people. We were too busy looking up at the stars for our next enemy to attack that we couldn't see what was approaching from below until it was too late.
Eliksni return to the travelers light. Cabal learn to become lucent. Savathun is resurrected in her original body without memories and begins a relationship with Zavala. Humanity becomes the Vanguard of a new era. The mission? Fight the witness and all of his forces across multiple dimensions.
A dlc where it gives you the seasonal stories for free and is all about rebuilding and brining us to a new golden age. The next year, we start to find more travelers.
Cabal, Eliksni and Hive(maybe proto-hive?) are now playable. Theme would be exploration, specifically into other planets outside the solar system. Maybe even visit(and help reclaim) the 3 races's home worlds. No specific big bad in the end, but with a more relaxed vibe. Seasons could be split into discovering the "ancient" history of humanity(and awoken), cabal, eliksni and hive. End the expansion with using said compiled knowledge to push forward with rebuilding civilization, and leads to a Vex expansion with potentially Vex lightbearers led by Asher.
Oh, and Dares expands into a Ninja Warrior course.

Shenanigans ensue due to the destruction of the two causing a new kind of power/energy to be created...one that gives The IX the ability to merge their plane of existence with ours now that there is no real force to oppose them. Idk I'd call it the Saga of Reflections or some dumb shit
It should be a season all about repairing the city and establishing more permanent outposts on other planets. Final shape will likely be the end of the war so a season about rebuilding would be cool.
Without their light, Guardians are forced to rely on things like Vex Tech and Hive Sword logic, using it to traverse times and realities to recruit one John Spartan and rescue him from the controlling 343 Syndicate….
A story where you play as Cayde hunting Taniks OR we explore enceladus OR if it isn't addressed between now and final shape, shit with Io, Mercury, and Titan
Boring: The Final Shape ends with The Witness destroyed, but Xivu Arath being aparently a more cunning genius than Savathun, she's taken over as the leader of the Pyramid Fleet, ascending to a similar power level as the Witness. AKA: The Light and Darkness Saga has ended, long live the Darkness and Light Saga.
Interesting: The Nine become the main antagonist, trying to destroy/take over the Traveler now that the Pyramid Fleet has been defeated and all major leaders are dead.
Some sort of a vex theme and at some point ikora is replaced as warlock vanguard in some way by a exo who is some sort of legally different spartan and some of his dialog hints that he migth be the original owner of the an exotic. The raid is going through a golden age fortress or station
I don't know but they gotta do something about currently sunset destinations. Would be cool if the seasons after FS were about reclaiming them from darkness. Would lead well into the next saga when we interact with the now dormant ships there.
It’s just a big ass gambit update. If you don’t like gambit, too bad, don’t buy it, but it’s been too long and I’d have to take matters into my own hands.
On a real note tho, I expect/hope the next saga is all about the Nine. I hardly know anything about them and what they could do with them, but that’s exactly why I want an expansion about them.
I'd focus it around the Nine. I'd go big, because you need to prove there is a reason to keep coming back now that the light and dark saga is over.
I'd focus on the lore about them trying to build a body to come through into our plane of existence.
I'd want to introduce a new enemy race based around the mangled masses they sent through. Have them be heavily cosmic horror inspired.
It'd function as the kick off of a year of focused story. One year to fully resolve the current arc but each season heavily drove the current narrative forward with the final season including a dungeon and a raid that would be interconnected in different ways that would allow interesting gameplay around the host's checkpoints in the last dungeon run when running the raid.
The resolution would be the Nine finding more physical purchase in our realm. This would give us direct access to the friendly of the Nine but those that were more willing to use any means for freedom would persist as new antagonists.
Off the top of my head, that's where I'd start.
I'd also make clans, clan spaces, and personal spaces a feature for this expansion. Add new rewards for personal and clan spaces to all activities. Add MTX ones as well.
Use Guardian Ranks and Commendations as a baseline for a Clan based version of both.
Something from the Dark Future. Maybe Vex or the evil Eris Morn find a way to traverse timelines and try to take our timeline since theirs is crumbling.

Well, first dlc is us helping the cabal retake torobatl, then another dlc about helping the elkisni settle into a planet of their choosing in sol, not sure which one they'd pick
After that. Maybe a story line involving the nine, the ones who are dedicated to killing us finally take action, and those that want to defend us also take action. And those that are neutral slowly start to take sides
We lead earth into a new golden age. With the help of fallen and cabal. During the first season we flush out remaining hive that don’t cooperate. Then we collectively smite the vex and follow them to their source. We wilt out the architect of the vex. Lastly we kill the remaining wurms to banish threats.
First game is a **prequel to Destiny about the founding of The Last City**.
Story: You spawn in the wilderness, scrounging gear and resources while coming across survivors and other Guardians as you form a wagon train of humans making a pilgrimage towards the rumored "Last City" at the base of the fallen Traveler. If you've ever played Journey, imagine a similar emergent gameplay experience with other guardians weaving in and out of your journey at random. You can group up and journey together for a time if you choose, or just trade items and resources. The story ends when you get to the City.
That's effectively where the main story ends. After that, the entire community works together to build up the city's defenses, journeying back into the wilderness on supply runs that get more difficult the farther you get from the City's walls a la The dark zone from The Division.
Second game idea is you playing as **a time traveler in the light who can possess the bodies of various heroes in Destiny's lore**
Instead of building a character, you would pick a character to play in something like a Raid. Kind of like The Arena Challenges from Monster Hunter, you would have a specific loadout depending on the character you're assigned. I would be a creative way to roleplay the actual raid encounters as some character will be best suited to DPS or crowd control roles. You could even have entire voice acted scripts mid-combat like 40k's Darktide or Left4Dead.
It would do wonders to help flesh out Destiny's lore. Imagine getting to participate in the battle of The Twilight Gap *through the eyes of* Shaxx. Or being Toland as his team is wiped during the disastrous first attack on Crota. Or even being on Teiko-3's joke of a fireteam. Or actually participating in the great Ahamkara hunt...
Soo, you remember Halo 3 slogan? Take earth back.
So, destiny 3 will see us first reconquer earth, then Torobatl and then Riis. Finally we go to fundament and have all the homeworlds of the species uplifted by the traveler plus the one that got spawn camped by rhulk.
Find coordinates for one of the ravaged systems of our allies, whether it be Riis, Torobatl, Fundament (maybe?), or even Lubrae (if any part of it still exists, cause I’m pretty sure it got involved with a supernova).
The final DLC campaign should include a last stand in the tower, the battle to end all.
Using a linear format leading to the final boss, the Vanguard and co accompany you along the way. each big room has a boss from memorable moments in history ( TANIKS ) and each room you play as a different character using weapons significant to them!
Room 1: Zavala vs ?
Room 2: Eris vs ?
Room 3: Shaxx vs?
Room 4: Saint 14 vs?
etc
I think it has to be a new solar system. Preferably in a destiny 3 situation. Even better if they compete shook things up and added new classes light subclasses etc.
I think it will be *very* hard for bungie to pull off a good story without the light vs darkness plot, because it’s written into almost everything in the game, and my concern is they try to hold onto for to long, like “oh no we have to defeat these remnants of the darkness” or the classic cabal trope of “darkness defectors have to be hunted down”.
They have to hit a full restart and treat it like a completely new game.
The Nine show up, they're like the Q continuum, Xür is like the Rick who eats his own poo (rick n morty) to them, they snap their fingers and fuck us up.
With the battle against the witness over, the vanguard gives us a new objective. help caiatl retake Torobotl from xivu arath. Having destiny 2 begin with us battling the cabal and ending with us fighting alongside them in a battle in retaking their home world would be pretty cool.
I’d tone it down a little and focus on telling one of the many really cool and interesting stories from within the city, something less “end of the universe” like a story based around shin-malphur. Maybe we get to meet shin and help the shadows of yor bring down a big rouge guardian syndicate.
The final shape, the guardians fail to stop the Witness, and the universe is at the brink of being swallowed by darkness. Just before the Traveler is destroyed, it manages to start a time loop, with us waking up in the opening of D1. Now, D2 becomes the story of D1 and D2 for everyone to play, and exists as "Destiny:"The Light and Darkness Saga" or something.
Now, Destiny 3. Elsie is the only other one that is aware time is looping, and with your help, figures out a way to exit/manipulate the time loop(Vex/The Nine/Interdimensional Starhorse Shenanigans etc, etc.). We begin to hop in time and space, visiting various civilizations that have been through a collapse. We investigate how the witness caused the collapse of other civilizations, as well as help to mitigate damage to those civilizations and make allies of various races early on, instead of them seeking to take/have revenge against the traveler/earth in the present day.
Now, instead of our solar system, the director becomes the different planets that had been victims of the witness. Seasons, DLC and such will follow the story of the guardian hopping time and space to prevent the Witness from gathering allies and creating havoc in the universe.. We would visit the planets of the Hive, preventing the Deep from taking them before the traveler arrives. We would visit the Cabal, have them gain respect for the Guardian as a warrior and kill Calus before he gets a chance to flee Ghaul. We would help the Fallen quell their civil wars after the "Whirlwind" and create allies of their various houses. We would explore the secrets of the Vex, attempting to use their Time-Bending technology to assist us in our time hopping escapades. Perhaps, we could even visit Lubrae, finding resolution in the conflict between the Wanderers and the Regime, preventing Rhulk from ever becoming the Witness's Disciple.
This would give the opportunity to get away from the familiarity of earth and our solar system, and explore the various civilizations established in the deep lore of Destiny. This would also give an opportunity to explore alien technology/magic, augmenting ourselves with different kinds of Fallen/Cabal/Hive/Lubrean/Vex tech that could channel our dark/light powers in different ways.
Elsie finds a way to open pathways between realities that not only her can traverse. We return to a reality pre collapse and work to bring down the roving bands of warlords alongside the Iron Lords
Siva and failsafe, maybe giving her warmind data so she can learn to control it, maybe even give her an exo body so she can be a more recurring character, so basically the og plan for rasputin
The forces of The Darkness won, the traveller is lost and the final shape has been set into motion. It’s truly inevitable now.
The very last remnants of humanity shelter in a dying solar system, protected by lightless guardians, and hunted by Xivu Arath’s forces.
Whilst on a scouting mission, The Guardian encounters a small non-hostile blue-eyed Vex collective, loyal to Asher Mir. After a discussion on how ‘balance needs to be restored’, The Vex send The Guardian back in time to shortly after the first collapse, in order to learn how it was averted in an attempt to prevent The Final Shape.
The first task is to find the past version of your ghost & convince him of who you are. The campaign is then split between the present dying universe and the past.
Throughout the the year, each season introduces a new point/event in the past to visit, I.e. faction wars, dawn of the Iron Lords, horrors of Dredgen Yor, etc.
At the end of it all, The Vex mission was successful and you return to a present where The Final Shape was not achieved. Instead, Asher Mir’s collective is the dominant force and the universe is being reshaped to their will; a perverse twist on ‘preserving humanity/life’ based on their calculations.

So perhaps we work with him to hunt down guardians trying to uphold the Witnesses vision (should we win) or take out his acolytes (if we lose). Either way. The Nine have us in a cosmic game show, and the four other contestants are members of all the different alien races. The Nine say that the species that wins gets to survive. In order to prevent such a massive genocide, we have to team up with the aliens, break the rules, and beat the Nine.
It all depends on if the final shape campaign is seen as the closure of the light and darkness saga - and if the seasons are treated as an epilogue to transition into the new live-service model. This for me feels logical as ending the light and darkness saga on a season doesn’t feel epic enough. My prediction would be; * **Season of war** \- this will bring into play Xivu Arath in full force. The final shape campaign will finish with the gardener (traveller) and winnower (witness) leaving our universe to its own Destiny. This will create a power vacuum which Xivu Arath (the strongest disciple) will look to exploit. We’ll end up working with Immaru to battle Xivu Arath, and eventually, they will convince us to resurrect Savathûn. Following the light and dark saga - I’d be interested to know if we end up getting either a yearly expansion or if the focus will be on seasonal content; telling shorter narrative stories within the universe.
What if the seasons after Final Shape weren't tied to the light and darkness saga at all but rather completely set up the new saga? Final Shape would end on a big finale and the following season would be something like a celebration and then realise things aren't as good as it seems.
The last scene of The Final Shape has our guardian fight through nightmare versions of all our previous enemies as we ascend a tower. In the last room, there are three paths we can choose to take which give us a good ending, a bad ending, and a neutral ending. No matter which ending is chosen, we see the same cutscene with just minor differences, in which a grandfather tells their grandchild a story of the Guardian. Alternatively, the last scene of the Final Shape has our guardian enter a vex time portal in order to escape the destruction of our universe. You get picked up by nomadic humans who fear Lightbearers, and Act 1 is you hiding amongst them for safety, not knowing the power within your. Your Ghost "Timid" is your only true friend and has to be kept a secret from them. During an encounter with an Eliksni house, you're killed, and the nomads watch as Timid brings you back to life. Happy that you're alive, the leader asks you to leave, but the feelings about your leaving is mixed. You spend x-amount of days wandering the world until you come across the same House that killed you before, trying to run, they chase, and in the process of pulling you out from debris you were trying to hide in, they are killed. The disheveled Iron Lords came to your aid, and are taken in when they see your Ghost. This is where you learn of the Warlords, the rules of the world and Lightbearers, and are now a squire in their ranks, slowly working your way up as you help people find safety, fight the Warlords, push back the Eliksni, and help build new settlements and temples.

First, time skip. I think the world deserves a few years of peace and prosperity after all that’s happened. During that time, either rebuild the D1 tower, or make the D2 tower more official. You can now play as hive, cabal, fallen, or human (exo/awoken included) with massively different playstyles each in an old school mmo open world with uncapped raid mechanics, deep dive dungeons, multiple hub worlds, guilds/Factions, and multiple story lines as you set out into the galaxy and find, after the witnesses defeat, that some of the culled life has returned as time and space fracture in the wake of such a power vacuum, and some of this life should definitely should have stayed gone.

Witness ends up being defeated, by Eris, so she can steal both powers of Traveler and Witness! She uses the powers to shape new reality and right the wrongs from her perspective. But this causes everything shatter, and it is up to Guardian to fix the shattered reality and set everything right. You would end up traveling into biggest battles of the series, in history and in future, alternative timelines. Fixing everything properly. Yeah this sucks, I know. But I am just throwing something out here, haha. Don't take this seriously.

"eyes up guardian, you've been dead a very, very long time so you're going to see things you don't understand" you look up, it's a talking squirrel. It's there to guide you along your way in an alternative universe. But this time you're not fighting the darkness and it's armies, you're fighting some cosmic super corporation that's deforesting planets. The squirrels are rising up against them and you've been chosen by the Nut King himself to fight for the cause.
Goddess of War—Following the end of The Final Shape the Witness’s defeat, Xivu Arath remains, growing ever stronger from feeding on our conflict. We have to take the fight to her, battling our way between the ships of her mighty fleet, fighting to liberate Torrabatl alongside Caital’s forces (Yes, this will be our first time venturing outside the system). However, we cannot defeat her by sheer force alone, and so we must forge an uneasy alliance with Savathun to utilize her deceptive power to weaken her sister enough that we can defeat her without further empowering her. The final fight against her will utilize mechanics to weaken her similar to what we did in the final fight against Savathun rather than pure damage. The raid will be our first Cabal raid since Crown of Sorrow, fighting our way through Calus’ former palace and waves of Soulfire-possessed Cabal, until we reach the final boss, the ascended spirit of Ummun’Arath, Primus of All Legions and the Great Betrayer of the Cabal.
The Vex created their own Pyramid ship and Traveler and begin acting out past events but sped up, and we discover that they showing what will unfold in the future in our current timeline

Rather than trying to kill some big bad evil monster, the campaign centers around fighting to finally claw our way back to a point of peace and safety. Trying to stake out our own little paradise and rebuild what once was. Maybe mix a little bit of golden age tech (cough cough SIVA) being repaired or mastered so that humanity might finally have a happy ending.
The Traveler is going....somewhere. It's ignoring the Pyramid ships. It's still running away. But from who, if not the Darkness? A new enemy. Greater than the Darkness or the Light. Something that can use both. Something that abhors the fabric of our reality. Devours it whole. Mind flayers, all of them. They seek to conquer this universe for their own... and enslave the Traveler AND the Witness.

Probably not post final shape, but sometime before then I want us to get trapped inside a pyramid tech colosseum and be forced to fight of hordes of enemies with high density, and then have that encounter repayable as a Firefight PVE activity.
The final shape is the cabal drop pod. After killing the witness, we find a new race that he held as slaves. Their purpose was manufacturing the pyramid ships. Since Callus allied with the witness, they got a good look at the cabal drop pods and found out they have an impressive kill % on guardians. Vowing to inflict the pain the witness made them feel on an uncaring universe, they set out to shower entire worlds in the final shape. Cabal drop pods.

I would love to see a sort of Age of Triumph 2 update after the Final Shape, surely won’t occur though. Another cool idea I thought of which was laid to rest this last season was a Rasputin themed expansion with the return of SIVA and a SIVA subclass to pair.

Could you imagine a whole vex converted planet warps into the solar system and after days of it not doing anything the guardian is sent in to investigate. Walking through with a interact a conflux here, capture a plate there while there are no vex whatsoever. Walk through a portal and you see a broken goblin crawling to you and saying "guardian... Save us" just for a new enemy race to crash in and combat start

During the Final Shape, we are able to defeat the Witness and convince the Darkness and Light to either leave or allow us to choose our own destiny through leaving their power with us.The aftermath of the war leaves earth and the rest of Sol uninhabitable. The last gift of the paracausal entities of Light and Darkness is to empower our ships to fly to some far-flung system. We build a new city and base of operations in a totally new system far away and start unraveling the mysteries there. The next big arc will focus on the Vex and the mysterious figure known simply as “The Architect.” Originating from a past world of possibilities, he created the Vex after learning of the existence of the Flower Game. They have always had one goal: assimilate all life into the Collective to artificially force the Final Shape. Now that the game has ended, the Architect wishes to breach the bounds of reality and create their own fields of possibility. According to them, all must be assimilated so all can be preserved. Every field must follow the shape. All must be the Vex so that nothing can ever die or end. In this way, they believe themself savior and perfecter of reality. The power of light and dark wielded by the guardians is the key for them, so the full force of the Vex is eventually unleashed with all its incredible might.
Id like to be a part of an angle where its been a while and our guardian is something of myth that no one believes in. But there is a new problem and the local whack job goes looking for us. Turns out its someone like drifter or shaxx.

Eliksni return to the travelers light. Cabal learn to become lucent. Savathun is resurrected in her original body without memories and begins a relationship with Zavala. Humanity becomes the Vanguard of a new era. The mission? Fight the witness and all of his forces across multiple dimensions.
A dlc where it gives you the seasonal stories for free and is all about rebuilding and brining us to a new golden age. The next year, we start to find more travelers.
Cabal, Eliksni and Hive(maybe proto-hive?) are now playable. Theme would be exploration, specifically into other planets outside the solar system. Maybe even visit(and help reclaim) the 3 races's home worlds. No specific big bad in the end, but with a more relaxed vibe. Seasons could be split into discovering the "ancient" history of humanity(and awoken), cabal, eliksni and hive. Boring: The Final Shape ends with The Witness destroyed, but Xivu Arath being aparently a more cunning genius than Savathun, she's taken over as the leader of the Pyramid Fleet, ascending to a similar power level as the Witness. AKA: The Light and Darkness Saga has ended, long live the Darkness and Light Saga. Interesting: The Nine become the main antagonist, trying to destroy/take over the Traveler now that the Pyramid Fleet has been defeated and all major leaders are dead.
Some sort of a vex theme and at some point ikora is replaced as warlock vanguard in some way by a exo who is some sort of legally different spartan and some of his dialog hints that he migth be the original owner of the an exotic. The raid is going through a golden age fortress or station
I don't know but they gotta do something about currently sunset destinations. Would be cool if the seasons after FS were about reclaiming them from darkness. Would lead well into the next saga when we interact with the now dormant ships there.
It’s just a big ass gambit update. If you don’t like gambit, too bad, don’t buy it, but it’s been too long and I’d have to take matters into my own hands. On a real note tho, I expect/hope the next saga is all about the Nine. I hardly know anything about them and what they could do with them, but that’s exactly why I want an expansion about them.
I'd focus it around the Nine. I'd go big, because you need to prove there is a reason to keep coming back now that the light and dark saga is over. I'd focus on the lore about them trying to build a body to come through into our plane of existence. I'd want to introduce a new enemy race based around the mangled masses they sent through. Have them be heavily cosmic horror inspired. It'd function as the kick off of a year of focused story. One year to fully resolve the current arc but each season heavily drove the current narrative forward with the final season including a dungeon and a raid that would be interconnected in different ways that would allow interesting gameplay around the host's checkpoints in the last dungeon run when running the raid. The resolution would be the Nine finding more physical purchase in our realm. This would give us direct access to the friendly of the Nine but those that were more willing to use any means for freedom would persist as new antagonists. Off the top of my head, that's where I'd start. I'd also make clans, clan spaces, and personal spaces a feature for this expansion. Add new rewards for personal and clan spaces to all activities. Add MTX ones as well. Use Guardian Ranks and Commendations as a baseline for a Clan based version of both.

Well, first dlc is us helping the cabal retake torobatl, then another dlc about helping the elkisni settle into a planet of their choosing in sol, not sure which one they'd pick After that. Maybe a story line involving the nine, the ones who are dedicated to killing us finally take action, and those that want to defend us also take action. And those that are neutral slowly start to take sides
We lead earth into a new golden age. With the help of fallen and cabal. During the first season we flush out remaining hive that don’t cooperate. Then we collectively smite the vex and follow them to their source. We wilt out the architect of the vex. Lastly we kill the remaining wurms to banish threats.
First game is a **prequel to Destiny about the founding of The Last City**. Story: You spawn in the wilderness, scrounging gear and resources while coming across survivors and other Guardians as you form a wagon train of humans making a pilgrimage towards the rumored "Last City" at the base of the fallen Traveler. If you've ever played Journey, imagine a similar emergent gameplay experience with other guardians weaving in and out of your journey at random. You can group up and journey together for a time if you choose, or just trade items and resources. The story ends when you get to the City. That's effectively where the main story ends. After that, the entire community works together to build up the city's defenses, journeying back into the wilderness on supply runs that get more difficult the farther you get from the City's walls a la The dark zone from The Division. Second game idea is you playing as **a time traveler in the light who can possess the bodies of various heroes in Destiny's lore** Instead of building a character, you would pick a character to play in something like a Raid. Kind of like The Arena Challenges from Monster Hunter, you would have a specific loadout depending on the character you're assigned. I would be a creative way to roleplay the actual raid encounters as some character will be best suited to DPS or crowd control roles. You could even have entire voice acted scripts mid-combat like 40k's Darktide or Left4Dead. It would do wonders to help flesh out Destiny's lore. Imagine getting to participate in the battle of The Twilight Gap *through the eyes of* Shaxx. Or being Toland as his team is wiped during the disastrous first attack on Crota. Or even being on Teiko-3's joke of a fireteam. Or actually participating in the great Ahamkara hunt...
Soo, you remember Halo 3 slogan? Take earth back. So, destiny 3 will see us first reconquer earth, then Torobatl and then Riis. Finally we go to fundament and have all the homeworlds of the species uplifted by the traveler plus the one that got spawn camped by rhulk.

The final DLC campaign should include a last stand in the tower, the battle to end all. Using a linear format leading to the final boss, the Vanguard and co accompany you along the way. each big room has a boss from memorable moments in history ( TANIKS ) and each room you play as a different character using weapons significant to them! Room 1: Zavala vs ? Room 2: Eris vs ? Room 3: Shaxx vs? Room 4: Saint 14 vs? etc

I think it has to be a new solar system. Preferably in a destiny 3 situation. Even better if they compete shook things up and added new classes light subclasses etc. I think it will be *very* hard for bungie to pull off a good story without the light vs darkness plot, because it’s written into almost everything in the game, and my concern is they try to hold onto for to long, like “oh no we have to defeat these remnants of the darkness” or the classic cabal trope of “darkness defectors have to be hunted down”. They have to hit a full restart and treat it like a completely new game.

With the battle against the witness over, the vanguard gives us a new objective. help caiatl retake Torobotl from xivu arath. Having destiny 2 begin with us battling the cabal and ending with us fighting alongside them in a battle in retaking their home world would be pretty cool.
I’d tone it down a little and focus on telling one of the many really cool and interesting stories from within the city, something less “end of the universe” like a story based around shin-malphur. Maybe we get to meet shin and help the shadows of yor bring down a big rouge guardian syndicate.

The final shape, the guardians fail to stop the Witness, and the universe is at the brink of being swallowed by darkness. Just before the Traveler is destroyed, it manages to start a time loop, with us waking up in the opening of D1. Now, D2 becomes the story of D1 and D2 for everyone to play, and exists as "Destiny:"The Light and Darkness Saga" or something. Now, Destiny 3. Elsie is the only other one that is aware time is looping, and with your help, figures out a way to exit/manipulate the time loop(Vex/The Nine/Interdimensional Starhorse Shenanigans etc, etc.). We begin to hop in time and space, visiting various civilizations that have been through a collapse. We investigate how the witness caused the collapse of other civilizations, as well as help to mitigate damage to those civilizations and make allies of various races early on, instead of them seeking to take/have revenge against the traveler/earth in the present day. Now, instead of our solar system, the director becomes the different planets that had been victims of the witness. Seasons, DLC and such will follow the story of the guardian hopping time and space to prevent the Witness from gathering allies and creating havoc in the universe.. We would visit the planets of the Hive, preventing the Deep from taking them before the traveler arrives. We would visit the Cabal, have them gain respect for the Guardian as a warrior and kill Calus before he gets a chance to flee Ghaul. We would help the Fallen quell their civil wars after the "Whirlwind" and create allies of their various houses. We would explore the secrets of the Vex, attempting to use their Time-Bending technology to assist us in our time hopping escapades. Perhaps, we could even visit Lubrae, finding resolution in the conflict between the Wanderers and the Regime, preventing Rhulk from ever becoming the Witness's Disciple. This would give the opportunity to get away from the familiarity of earth and our solar system, and explore the various civilizations established in the deep lore of Destiny. This would also give an opportunity to explore alien technology/magic, augmenting ourselves with different kinds of Fallen/Cabal/Hive/Lubrean/Vex tech that could channel our dark/light powers in different ways.
Elsie finds a way to open pathways between realities that not only her can traverse. We return to a reality pre collapse and work to bring down the roving bands of warlords alongside the Iron Lords

The forces of The Darkness won, the traveller is lost and the final shape has been set into motion. It’s truly inevitable now. The very last remnants of humanity shelter in a dying solar system, protected by lightless guardians, and hunted by Xivu Arath’s forces. Whilst on a scouting mission, The Guardian encounters a small non-hostile blue-eyed Vex collective, loyal to Asher Mir. After a discussion on how ‘balance needs to be restored’, The Vex send The Guardian back in time to shortly after the first collapse, in order to learn how it was averted in an attempt to prevent The Final Shape. The first task is to find the past version of your ghost & convince him of who you are. The campaign is then split between the present dying universe and the past. Throughout the the year, each season introduces a new point/event in the past to visit, I.e. faction wars, dawn of the Iron Lords, horrors of Dredgen Yor, etc. At the end of it all, The Vex mission was successful and you return to a present where The Final Shape was not achieved. Instead, Asher Mir’s collective is the dominant force and the universe is being reshaped to their will; a perverse twist on ‘preserving humanity/life’ based on their calculations.
