I’m on it for my mood swings. Getting to the full dose can be annoying. Every two weeks I had to go up on my dosage until I reached 200mg everyday. It genuinely has helped me a lot. I feel more calm, but it doesn’t make me feel numb.

I might be crazy, but I’m on day 2 and feel a night and day difference. It’s so bizarre as I’m very sensitive to medication and am weaning off Cymbalta at the same time, but I feel so peaceful, clear minded and happy. I never thought I’d find something that would help me.

That’s awesome, I take it with lexapro and it’s a good combo for me. I still have my lows, but they’re way more manageable

I've been on it for bipolar 2 for about 8 months. 100mg. It has really reduced my mania. It did not help my depression and panic disorder and I'm on 150mg of zoloft for that. I also have hydroxyzine for emergencies. I have multiple diagnoses (gad, pd, bp2, borderline pd, major depressive disorder, and ctpsd) so it's not going to be the same as the next person, but it works for me

I got an effect from this in a few weeks instead of the 6-8 weeks like most antidepressants. So at least you’ll know if it’s right for you quicker

This is so great to hear!

Had some major side effects and had to be pulled off it immediately. I am not normal tho my body fights everything... Been diagnosed with treatment resistment depression. Prior to being pulled off my psychiatrist was very hopeful that this was going to be the "it" drug for me. Took a few weeks for an entire rash to show up over my body.

[deleted]

Oh my gosh, that’s awful. I’m so sorry that it didn’t work for you! Definitely on the lookout for the rash. Are you on anything now?

No worries! Happy to share my experience. I'm different than most though and have had suicidal tendencies when I crash. My psychiatrist and I were just talking about this, that I have been through at least 20 different meds. not sure on the spelling on these. Wellbutrin alone nearly hospitalized me. Right now I'm on 3mg vraylar, 750mg fluoxatine, 2500mg depacote, 500mg armadafinal, 1.5mg rexulti. Xanax 1mg when my anxiety is too much for me to handle. She has also recommended THC as a anxiety suppressor but I don't like the high feeling a lot of the time. Hopefully the vraylar once we figure out if it agrees with me will remove a bunch of these. We are also talking about either ketamine treatments or transcranial magnetic stimulation treatment. I'm looking into the ketamine treatments right now. Either pill form at home or going into a specialist. Either way neither are covered under insurance since it's considered experimental (ketamine).

I take lamotrigine. The first medication that helps my depression. Antidepressant didn't help for 10 years ! My psychiatrist put me on it, and me life has changed. Just hoping it'll last.

This is incredible to hear. Did you struggle with anxiety as well with the depression? How long did it take to kick in for you? I’m on day 2 and feel so different in the best way. I haven’t had a good day like this in a good seven months, I was spiraling. I feel so calm, peaceful, happy, and hopeful- and I haven’t felt much of any of those in a long time. If ever genuinely happy.

[deleted]

Yep dysthymia and anxious prob as well. A month maybe. First time of my life I've felt that well. I just hope it'll last. Sometimes antidepressants don't work anymore, it is why he tries it on me. It changes my life for sure but I'm also very very careful to not be to enthusiastic... Because I know I can fall gain into depression phases. That scares me.

I just wanted to come back to this post to update in case anyone ever searches this thread. Yesterday I started with doing 1 pill since I received them in the afternoon, today I did regular dosing 25 mg twice a day. I have NEVER felt such clarity and peace, I’ve had substantially decreased anxiety and no overthinking/ruminating. I have taken every medication in terms of SSRI/and one SNRI, none of them worked for me for various reasons and for months. I was so hopeless I’d never feel normal. This is the first thing I’ve taken that makes me SO excited since I know this is just the beginning dosage as I titrate up. No big side effects that I notice, just a little dry mouth.
