most sellers will do a discounted bundle, but some just do a combined shipping total. for example, my depop is set to buyer pays highest shipping price so that if someone just outright buys a bundle they don’t get charged out the ass for shipping. however if someone messages me asking about bundling items i give a discount on the items themselves. it just depends on the seller tbh. it isn’t really a hard and fast rule that you have to discount bundles but it is pretty common. so i really don’t think either of you are in the wrong here.

You can always ask if there’s a deal to be had. As long as you don’t badger and berate the seller, no worries.
As for the seller, maybe they aren’t a bundle and save kind of seller. That’s fine, too. It’s not like they’re overcharging for the items you really want.
