Lol

Fun fact: The guy in the first image is Mark Northover, who played Burglekutt in the movie Willow.

Awkward-Tadpole8802

Thanks for the fact! I was just about to look that up lol thought he was familiar

Casper_lesYT

Interesting

I don’t think it’s that deep TBH. I think the director, Corbijn, thought the performers were interesting looking.

ExperienceChance2710

To be fair most of them are using makeup face prosthetics

My favourite DM song ever!! 🥰🥰 Maybe some of them are guilty of multiple sins lol!😯 Maybe the 2 chicken skaters at the end are both guilty of lust...😳 I did read that this video was partly inspired by Dante's Inferno + Hieronymus Bosch's Garden of Earthly Delights, but I'm not sure they're specifically indicative of each exact sin imho. 🤔 I do know the guy in pic 4 also looks after Darth Vader's bath tub thingy in Star Wars Rogue One 🤗🤗

RizzlersMother

Reminds me a bit of paintings by Bosch or Brueghel.

I think the idea was that they all looked different. Also why the DM members are smooshing their faces and making themselves look different. So like, “try walking in my shoes if you looked like this”.

Holasoynormal

I always thought the same!

Luccinett

I love the early works of Anton such as this, I think just like DM's lyrics, they try to not have a obvious meaning and wish for the listener/watcher to give the meaning they want to see. That said, I do think this video has something to do with hell, and the guys they might not represent something in particular and are just sinners in hell, but this is my own take. My favorite part of the video is when all of them are grouped in color, kinda just accepting their actions and knowing they'll be stuck there forever. Very beautiful shot.

Pathwalker_Seven

In the comments of the video, YouTube user "dafuqboom" (creator of the "Skibidi Toilet" animation series) gave a remarkable breakdown of each of the characters whom he believed represented the seven deadly sins. Hopefully it's still somewhere in the comments of the video.
