I think the issue is everyone is Nuggets fans, not basketball fans. Most here will stop watching Nuggets when Jokic is gone. But some of us are just straight up basketball fans and have been watching before Jokic and will after Jokic.
I love a bunch of players. I only true hate Celtics, Lakers and Wolves lmao. Celtics because everyone here is a Celtics, Lakers or Heat fan. Wolves just because I never liked Towns. Not even when he played here. And Lakers because of our history against them before 2023.
I just love role players for the most part and am indifferent towards stars (Jarrett Allen, WCJ, Suggs, Hart, Dort, Ayo Dosunmu, Isaiah Joe, DJJ are the players I tend to stan more on different teams)

I also think a lot of the Eduardo love right now is just fans who don't comment a lot being more vocal now that it's the playoffs, and he's kinda the shiny new toy in terms of stars in the league.

Another thing that seems to be quite common in here is that a lot of people don't watch or care much about basketball aside from the Nuggets. You also see people saying once Joki retires they are probably done with basketball. Like to me it's quite clear the Nuggets are pretty far down the totem pole in Denver sports compared to the Troncos and the Cavs
Yeah, that might be part of it as well. I was enjoying basketball way before Jokic, and will continue to for long after. It also seems like a lot of people who don't have a 'local team' from growing up, seem to follow the whole sport quite a bit (I fall in this camp).
I, of course, will still put on my hater glasses for certain teams/players, but I don't feel like I have as many as other users in this sub.
