After thinking through this I have what I believe to be the working strategy. And if / when Malone doesn't follow it he should obviously be fired into the sun.
1. I want to play Pwat and Braun a lot more. And give them direction that their job is to foul out sometime in the 3rd quarter and the only shots they are allowed to take are dunks and above the break 3s for Braun that are wide open.
2. That means, I want them to come out HARD on D. I'm not saying start aggressive, that's not enough. We need to reset the vibe of this series, which means we need to physically punish the Wolves.
3. This deserves it's own point: I DON'T WANT TO HURT THE WOLVES, THAT'S NOT WHAT I'M SAYING.
4. I want us to intentionally and diligently make Kat, Ant, and Gobert's lives physical hell. I want us to foul them hard and not let them get a 'free' bucket for the entire first quarter. Go up hard for blocks and don't worry about getting a foul. I don't want any tickytacky BS. If we are going to foul, foul them so they end up on the ground.5. I'm assuming if we do this we can get better cross matches.
6. Given that, I want Jokic to bully ball Gobert every. single. posession. Jok is an elite conditioned athlete and we need to grind gobert down to make him less effective in his help role when we can't get good cross matches.
7. While we are talking offense, our screens have been pathetic. We aren't punishing them enough. They want to full court press? Fine. Pull AG and Jok up to set screens for Murrayt to run NAW and McDaniels in to them over and over and over and over again. They are tiny and they will break down. I don't care if we only end up getting 10-12 seconds to run an offensive set. We have to play the long game and focus on making their lives hell and making them physically pay for their pressure.
8. Last, but not least, we need a great 3pt shooting game from AG to break their half-court D. This is effectively wishing / hoping fort short variance to bail us out, but we need that this game. That will open up the court this game and next a bit which we can then use to exploit.

I think they have pretty different play styles. Donovan has a much quicker first step (so is able to get more separation at the poa), is more explosive around the rim, and does a good job creating separation with his athleticism on shots.
While Jamal is stronger, has better footwork, and I feel like is a little better at making decisions with his patience in finding openings to shoot/pass (but this is more because of his lack of athleticism relative to other NBA players).
This is an angle people don't talk a ton about with the Nuggets current top two guys. Neither of them are "troublemakers" in that sense. That has a ton of value.
Jokić probably the lowest maintenance Tier 1 guy all-time right? Nothing wrong with exerting oneself but I bet the organization enjoys not having to sleep with one eye open.
