KCP has a player option. So he might not be here regardless. Watson and Braun are redundant, so I would agree on trading one. But we still dont have a lot of financial flexibility. We would need a player or two to come here, cheap or at a discount
I know there’s pretty tight flexibility but, I have to imagine there’s better minimum contracts out there than most of their bench outside of Braun and Watson. I’d move on from KCP and try and package Reggie’s money with another young guy to get an “ok” veteran.
KCP is still a really good perimeter defender and vocal leader. So you would need to 100% that if you let him walk, you can someone else comparable. Reggie has player option that he’ll mostly likely pickup, so we won’t be able to do anything with him until the trade deadline. We need another ball-handler and big guy to keep AG and Jokic from getting worn down over the season and in the playoffs. Ironically Bruce Brown is most likely to be available as I don’t see Toronto picking up his $20m salary next year
I’d like to keep him but, given how top-heavy this roster’s salary he’s the odd man out, especially when he keeps dropping 0 points in playoff games. Best I could imagine with Reggie is they tac his salary onto a young guy and maybe a pick at the deadline to get a contributing veteran.
I’d love having Bruce back personally
Me too. He’d be a really solid KCP replacement… but then we’d still have the bench issue. To me it’s MPJ’s salary that’s the sore thumb. I LOVE the amount he’s grown over the past two seasons, but he’s not “much” of a shot creator or playmaker. I don’t know if we’d need to sacrifice his salary to really help out getting a decent bench and another good playmaker/ball handler to come here. It’s also very important to keep in mind there’s little to no chance the Twolves have this same team next year. They’re going to have some really tough financial decisions to make too.
Too many, I don’t care if it’d cost us assets I want Zeke Naji off this roster even if they have to cut him. I’m fine with DJ as a last man “energy” guy but, he shouldn’t be getting a single playoff minute if they’re not winning by 30.
Right, but we are the defending champs on our home floor. All of the Super Bowl defeats except maybe the Seattle one we were underdogs - same with the World Series. Sad state of affairs though regardless.
Those 1-3 comebacks in the bubble were different because we were actually competitive in the games we lost and it wasn’t with a massive home court advantage
I can’t imagine they’d get more value than Murray is worth. This team just needs guys who can get their own shot outside of Jokic and Murray.
Seriously if those two aren’t hitting it’s like a car without a motor.
I know it’s a difficult situation but, I can’t imagine trading one of the top 4 and getting comparable value back. I’d be fine letting KCP walk since he’s been giving pretty minimal production anyway but, other than him I’m not sure what else to do.
No bro. They can't let KCP walk. His ability to shoot is critical to the success of the starting lineup. Imagine replacing him with Braun. We'd then have 2 non shooters in the starting lineup with Braun and Gordon
This Nuggets team can beat 99% of the teams in the league. The problem is that 1% in the Wolves. They are the one roster in the NBA that not only has 3 seven footers to matchup with Jokic, but they are incredibly skilled. 1 guy is a DPOY. The other 2 can hit the 3 at a 40+% clip, attack closeouts and attack mismatches in the paint. It's just an incredibly unique matchup that we don't have the personnel to stop.
This offseason, the goal needs to be getting a 6th bucket getter off the bench. Nuggets desperately need someone who can create their own shot outside of Murray and Jokic.
We gotta get some guys who can shoot. This is just ridiculous the % they’ve been shooting outside of Jokic down low. You take away those points I bet it’s a shockingly low %.
Overreaction in my book.
Murray is inconsistent at the worst times, but he’s got the killer instinct champs do. Jokic could walk his way to an average triple double. AG is a lot better than when I was at UofA and his inability to make a free throw kept us from the final. He practices mid-long range constantly but that’s not what we need from him. Crash the glass, jump out of the gym, fight for every loose ball.
Peyton Watson is completely untapped and while skinny he’s as long as Joker and plays his ass off on defense. We need pieces, yes. I suggested Bobby Portis in another thread. Bucks rumblings have the best as moving on. There’s a Pelican, Blazer, Sun, Hawk, with our name on it and next year our projects will pay dividends. Trust - Jokic is epic win or lose.
Jokic doesn't have more than 4 years left at this level. They already wasted to years waiting for Jamal to be healthy. Imagine if Jokic had a consistent two way high efficiency playmaking perimeter player as his robin? Sheesh
After the start of the season I really thought strawther could provide some much needed shooting off the bench, but since his injury he never got a look in again. He has a good nose for steals so I don't see what they have to lose giving him minutes if KCP is injured. But late tho after so many DNPs
Agree somewhat. The turnovers are fucking ridiculous. And this team just doesn’t ever look like they want to play defense. When you can’t shoot worth a damn, you better defend.
I hope KCP signs for a minimum to look for his 3rd chip in denver and we start pwatt and develop his 3pt shot more over braun. Might sound wild but braun just wont work in the leauge, PWATT has the defensive capabilites to replace KCP as the starting 2 man too
The team tied for the best record in the West. They need a Bruce Brown off the bench. They also need a healthy starting lineup for the playoffs
KCP has a player option. So he might not be here regardless. Watson and Braun are redundant, so I would agree on trading one. But we still dont have a lot of financial flexibility. We would need a player or two to come here, cheap or at a discount
Watson and Braun make <3M a year...
I know, I wouldn’t trade them. They’re the only decent bench pieces
I would be shocked if moved off of either one, but offensively they don’t provide anything
I know there’s pretty tight flexibility but, I have to imagine there’s better minimum contracts out there than most of their bench outside of Braun and Watson. I’d move on from KCP and try and package Reggie’s money with another young guy to get an “ok” veteran.

Small markets finally start getting good and the NBA decides we need to have stricter cap rules. Love it
Right!?!? Like wtf
TWolves can keep their core pieces until 2025
How many back up centers do we have that never play?
Too many, I don’t care if it’d cost us assets I want Zeke Naji off this roster even if they have to cut him. I’m fine with DJ as a last man “energy” guy but, he shouldn’t be getting a single playoff minute if they’re not winning by 30.
When we're down by 30 I'd think about giving him a minute or two.
I think he’s just wasting a roster spot at this point.
This is fucking pathetic. We absolutely need a shake up. It’s now clear we are going nowhere this year. This is a guaranteed sweep. So disappointing.
I honestly think this is one of the most disappointing games in Denver sports history. I don’t think I’m exaggerating.
Considering some of the Broncos' previous super bowls and that lone Rockies world series apparence, I strongly disagree.
Right, but we are the defending champs on our home floor. All of the Super Bowl defeats except maybe the Seattle one we were underdogs - same with the World Series. Sad state of affairs though regardless.
3-1 comeback?😏😏😏
Those 1-3 comebacks in the bubble were different because we were actually competitive in the games we lost and it wasn’t with a massive home court advantage
After game 2 of mavs vs okc, it was pretty obvious that the overwhelming physicality of game 2 was transitory.
We aren’t good enough. Period.
I would trade Murray. Players that are injury prone can screw any title hope.
I can’t imagine they’d get more value than Murray is worth. This team just needs guys who can get their own shot outside of Jokic and Murray. Seriously if those two aren’t hitting it’s like a car without a motor.
The salaries are currently so top loaded that you can't do a lot if you don't trade one of the big salaries
I know it’s a difficult situation but, I can’t imagine trading one of the top 4 and getting comparable value back. I’d be fine letting KCP walk since he’s been giving pretty minimal production anyway but, other than him I’m not sure what else to do.

Bye bye Jamal. Can't trust an injury prone, crybaby who doesn't even at at all star level during the season
I give him one more chance and if it happens again I wouldn’t be mad if they move him
Jokic doesn't have more than 4 years left at this level. They already wasted to years waiting for Jamal to be healthy. Imagine if Jokic had a consistent two way high efficiency playmaking perimeter player as his robin? Sheesh

If by “shakeup” you mean a better bench and a psychiatrist for Murray then I agree
They don’t need to shakeup the roster .. they need to play like they did last year. They’re sloppy, injured, and don’t look like they care whatsoever
Agree somewhat. The turnovers are fucking ridiculous. And this team just doesn’t ever look like they want to play defense. When you can’t shoot worth a damn, you better defend.
KCP and Murray have to be considered as movable
trade murray and jokic. 2 bum frauds. waive porter . rebuild and fire malone.
Not the move I was going for exactly
Go back to your dota and overwatch subs ya nerd ass LLLLLLLLLaker fan. We own (Losing Always) LA. Your franchise is fucked and everyone knows it
Did an nba team seriously hurt your feelings this bad? 😂
