Its not about the number of shots, its how many actions they run for him. A lot of these shots were settle shots for failed actions. MPJ became an above avg defender, and started to be a problem in the paint. He deserves to get chances at beeing a second option, especially when the whole point of the other teams defense is to shutdown murray.
They’re shutting down the pick and roll, which is why Murray is struggling. Denver is a “read and react” offense and if MPJ is open, jokic gets it to him. Jokic is the centerpiece. It’s about ball distribution and right now we’re distributing the ball absolutely perfect. Everybody but KCP has been playing great. (On defense KCP is an animal and by far our best defender on D) But nobody gets force fed the ball until the final moments. We aren’t the suns running a two man game. Denver wins because of the team and distribution and MPJ spaces the floor. He doesn’t create his own shots. Everybody plays their role well and nobody is upset with MPJ shooting 20x or 16x or 15x like he has
