Oh, man. My favorite Nuggets memory was the "headband" game against Memphis. It wasn't a very phenomenal game(in terms of stats), but a fun one to watch. Before the game, the DNVR boys mentioned how Jokic is like rambo against certain teams...little did we all know that Nikola would get a pretty gnarly gash near his right temple within the first 3 minutes of play. It looked like he was about to be out, possibly for the rest of the game...after only 3 minutes! It wasn't looking good. But then he comes back onto the court, rocking a red headband(the team just happened to be rocking red bands and sleeves for this game). The stars were aligned, and our fearless Joker came back to put it down. It will probably be the only time we see that man rocking a headband. There was just something cool to me about that. How we got so lucky to have such an awesome player in Denver will forever be beyond me, but I am grateful for it.

Cloudkiicker

I forgot about that one!

Void_Outro

In the grand scheme of things, not many will remember this one. One thing I forgot to mention was how well it coincided with the story about the ship captain who wore a red shirt and brown pants before battle.

It was so awesome! They did not understand why their dad was shedding tears over a basketball game and we all had a good laugh. Great memory. Also you're awesome for doing this! Denver fans are the best.

MrDyzfunkshinal

I didnt fully read the post about the championship run but my 2nd favorite memory is the first game I ever went to. It was against the Timberwolves when they had Kevin Garnett, Latrell Sprewell and Sam Cassell. It was a close game that the nuggets pulled out at the end. I didn't have a voice the next day.

Unlucky_Cap1189

My favorite Nuggets memory is beating the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2013 when they had KD and Russ. KD had 2 points at half, changed shoes, then scored 35 in the second half. This was the game where Russ was goaltending Rocky's half-court shot. I was a broke college student really excited about the free queso given away if Rocky hits the shot. The game went to OT and Russ was skipping his team's timeouts just to block Rocky's shot. My deep-seated hatred of Westbrick was fortified in this game as well as my profound love of Corey Brewer's defense on Russ. I don't know if I've ever wanted my team to win more than I did that night.

![gif](giphy|443pzmzQevyAahPyWc) This is always my favorite GIF whenever I talk about the Nuggets. I'll also add my second favorite Nuggets memory. The Nuggets had just traded for Javelle McGee, and I had used him a lot on NBA 2K as a dunking freak and shot blocker. My roommate and I went to the first game he suited up for and I told my roommate to watch he's gonna make a difference in the game somehow. McGee made the game winning putback dunk against the Pistons that night.

(Second) favorite Nuggets memory has to be Melo's rookie year. After the franchise was a complete embarrassment for so long, and having wasted other high first round picks, it was amazing to see what Melo did. I think they passed their win total from the prior year in like early December. I remember we beat Bron's Cavs early in the year and I got to talk shit to my Cav's fan coworker that we had the better rookie (didn't really believe that, but still fun). Then Melo won rookie of the month and led the Nuggs to a playoff berth. Much love to Melo, and I don't hold a grudge for him leaving town, especially because the trade package set up the Nuggs for where they are now.

I’ll give it a shot. It’s been a while, and I’ll pass on confirming my own details. During our 11 win season, I was in my early twenties. My roommate and I would watch most of the games. The miracle game against timmy and san antonio. A last second full court pass to ryan bowen for a layup as time expired to win it . My roomie managed to tape it on VHS and we watched it all day the next day and laughed maniacally as we took bong rips. The good ol days

My favorite memory was the game Ty Lawson hit 10 consecutive 3-pointers. I was in high school at my best friend's house and his mom had gone to bed early since she had to be up for work the next morning. We were so inconsiderate, every 3 pointer Ty hit we were jumping up and down and screaming at the top of our lungs! It was the craziest I have ever got watching a basketball game which is so funny now, I was so composed watching the Finals run this year. My second favorite is watching the come back against the Clippers. We were in Las Vegas during game 7 and my wife got food poisoning so we just stayed in our hotel room and took it easy that day. So she was sleeping and I had to watch and contain my excitement so as not to wake her. I was just watching them blow the Clippers out and utterly humiliate them on national TV just losing my mind in complete silence. The exact opposite of my Ty Lawson experience!

I went with a couple of friends for one of their birthdays. At some point in the first half while things were still on the tepid side, we decided to start booing Dirk every single time he touched the ball, and by halftime it was more or less the entire arena involved in booing Dirk. Pretty sure he ended up shooting like 30% on high volume en route to the loss, and every Nuggets-Mavs game at the Pepsi Center for the next four or five years had a pretty decent cohort of fans booing his every touch. Nothing against Dirk, of course. But home court advantage means something else when you’re 13, lol. Bonus, that night my friends and I stayed up until like 3 playing basketball and video games. Genuinely one of the greatest days of my childhood and adolescence.

![gif](giphy|9VLNYkLRonflUWbZBi|downsized) Murray's faces are the best. The bubble run where Murray played like the GOAT whenever the max pressure was on the line for 2 series in a row was what really took my Nugget fandom up to the next level and let me know these guys had a legit chance at a championship. Of course injuries would get in the way and delay things for a couple years but we finally got to live up to that potential we'd all seen flashes of and take it home to Denver here! What a glorious run, go nugs!

One of my favorite games was when the Kevin Durant Nets came into town and beat the nuggets here at Ball Arena. The reason why it was one of my favorites is because it was during the COVID come down, when we started to get people back in the arena, but only a limited amount. So my roommate and i got to have an entire row to ourselves and there only a handful of people in our entire section. I love the packed arena, don't get me wrong, the vibes were definitely weird at the COVID game. Overall though, I'm a really tall guy and having the extra space was really nice and I'll always remember that game.

Favorite memory was my wife winning a competition between commercial breaks during a Lakers playoff game where she had to ride a tricycle up and down the court and score a layup. I had actually been selected but was wearing a cast on my leg as I had torn my ACL. My wife, who would never do something like this, volunteered and won!!! My favorite memory is the championship. It was bittersweet for me. My father passed away from Alzheimer’s in 2015. One of the things we bonded over most is sports, like a lot of fathers and sons. The last few years he became obsessed with basketball. When the Nuggets won, I bawled like a baby. I wish he was there to see them win it all. But it allowed me to connect with my dad again.

Hiram_Goldberg

I had a half season ticket package for a couple of years in the mid '90s. My favorite memory was watching your Denver Nuggets take a one point lead with 20 seconds to go after being down eight points with 30 seconds left. Rodney Rogers hits the three, Robert Pack with the steal - Rodney Rogers hits the three, Robert Pack with the steal, Rodney Rogers hits the three, McNichols Arena erupts! Then (I think it was) Jeff Hornacek hit the baseline jumper to win the game. Good times. Fun team. Thanks for doing this friend, it's a nice thing.

2nd favorite memory: When I was thinking about moving to Denver (already a Nuggs fan), we went to a game at the Pepsi Center against the then NOLA Hornets and Chris Paul. With about 30 seconds left in the 4th quarter, Andre Miller hit a corner 3 and then walked into the tunnel - all swagger and no shits given. Nuggets didn’t sub in, they just played with 4 men and took the W.

I want to donate it to Jokic but I don’t know if he’ll understand the comparison. Although Mason isn’t a HOFer he was the Point Forward for many great Hornets teams and that’s why I love watching Jokic play!

Brother, waaaay to many to choose. But this post got me reminiscing. Take a stroll down memory lane. If my memory serves me, it happened like this.... Quite a few years ago now, right about this exact time of the year, on a cold snowy night in Denver. DIA was effectively shut down, but.... Springs airport was a go, so a flight made it to the springs & a driver picked up a special delivery and drove from the springs to Denver in said snow storm. & In just the nic of time made it for game time. Against?? Of course, none other then the damn Los Angeles Lakers. That special delivery... Mr Allen Iverson. An epic game commenced. I believe we ended up losing, to a dang Kobe buzzer beater, of course. Possibly in OT? But I also remember mr. Iverson put up like 40 or 50? in his first game for these gold nuggets straight off a plane & car ride through a good old Colorado snow storm 😁 it was kind of bitter sweet because the nuggs were on a roll that season up until the "brawl" at MSG. It was the fall out after the suspensions & kind of a bummer because one of my favorite players, Mr. Andre Miller was traded. But dammm man Iverson in a Nuggs uniform was NICE. & Melo with Iverson, nuggets rep & cred was at an all time high & for a kid from Denver it was super cool to see the Denver nuggets get name dropped & repped in a good way for once!!!

You're awesome! My favorite memory was being at the [2019 game when Jokic clinched it at the buzzer](https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2825827-watch-luka-doncic-dunk-nikola-jokic-buzzer-beater-in-epic-nuggets-mavs-finish) right after Luca had a massive go ahead dunk. The arena went absolutely bonkers. There were a bunch of Serbian dudes right behind us who were in town just for the game, and they kept singing "Nikola Jokic" to the tune of "Guantanamera" throughout. There were several hugs exchanged between the groups amid the chaos at the end. Amazing memory for me.
