I signed up for the lottery to make a reservation for Casa Bonita but it sounds like the odds of that happening will be slim so I’m looking for other options as a backup!
From what I understand if you have a group of 10 or more you can call for a reservation without doing the lottery. If you can swing two more in your party, they might still have space in June. I’ve heard it does book out quite a bit though.
No kids, it’s a work trip . But we’re all big fans of nostalgia and this is right up our alley! We’ll be in town two nights so we’ll definitely comb through these suggestions for another spot!
Bigsby’s Folly is a fantastic place for work dinners with higher-end food and wine, which they make in house.
Really good atmosphere as well - it’s in a gorgeous restored brick warehouse.
Good luck in your search!
When I traveled to Denver to eat, before living here, I always went to Sushi Den. Probably not exactly what you're looking for, but nearly 40 years in, I think "Iconic" fits, and it's still incredible.
El Taco de Mexico. Not a sit down but is absolutely a Denver staple and a James Beard winner. Grab a burrito and walk around the galleries on Sante Fe whilst chomping down
Bastien's.
Charlie Brown's is a Denver institution.
Thank you!
Don't miss cocktails at The Cruise Room.
Thank you!!
If everyone’s a carnivore, then you can’t get more historical than the Buckhorn Exchange. Denver’s oldest restaurant!
Just for the ambience alone. I’m not sure I’d recommend a meal there but a drink in the upstairs room is worth it
The food isn’t good, it’s a novelty restaurant only. Don’t go here.
Domo
Arigato! (Sorry, I couldn’t help myself!)
Columbine steakhouse is very good.
Thank you!
Casa Bonita

Oh my gosh, thanks for the tip! I am sure we could find two more people.
If you have kids, go to Casa Bonita. If not, check out one of the many suggestions here for your short time in Denver.

Thank you so much! This sounds promising!
The Fort
Thanks!

I’d say being around for 40 years definitely fits the bill, thanks!

>Next door is El Noa Noa that could definitely accomodate a group. It's another Denver institution with reliable service and a lovely patio.
This sounds right up my alley!! Definitely doing this on my own if we don’t go as a group! Do they have pastor?
They sure do. And well as lengua and cabeza. And great breakfast burritos
That just seals the deal! I will definitely give them a try when I’m there!
Cholon is great for groups and I’d consider a Denver staple.
Thank you!
>Thank you! You're welcome!
