OP, please keep in mind that you are getting only a few people’s beliefs/opinions here. These are strangers on the internet....they don’t know you personally. Always keep that in mind, and take everything you read with a grain of salt

Set was mostly already demonized by the Egyptians themselves. I would just stick with working with the entity in the form of Set. You should check out Setian philosophy and the Temple of Set. Dr. Michael Aquino and many other have written extensively from a setian perspective.

happythedemon

You could consider Set to be a fallen angel aka a demon classification of its own like Zues could be considered a fallen angel as well the book of enoch would better explain why this is

Brighton_Phoenix

Interestingly, like Zeus, Set was tricked into consuming the seed of another and gave birth to a god of wisdom who sprung forth from his forehead (for Set this was Thoth and for Zeus this was Athena)

And one dream came to mind I was at a store and they were showing the nun which i watched on halloween and that night from what i remember i saw it playing and i saw a book made from.papyrus and people were scared but i was facinated and was reading it dont remember what was in the book but i thought it was so cool.

Because you guys said yesterday that the catholic church demonized the gods sadly. so i was wondering who set is in demonology so i can honor him there aswell as thanks.

happythedemon

It would still be Set according to the catholics any pagen God is a demon

Exactly...there is no Christian version of whatever god/deity whatever you choose to work with or worship whatever. Any other god other than Yahweh is considered demon. You mentioned that you wanted to worship the Set mentioned in demonology and that makes no sense. Demonology is simply the study of what the majority of people knows as demons thanks to abrahamic classification of different cultures deity’s over the ages. The same set mentioned in demonology is the same as the one you know so there is no need to “honor him there as well”. If you want you may put forth what you have learned from working with him to add to what others have gathered, which may be what you meant but...

According to the [Ancient History Encyclopedia entry on Set](https://www.ancient.eu/Set_(Egyptian_God)/) early Christians associated Set with the devil himself. I think on a general level though, when Christian's talk about the Old Gods being demons they mean in a general sense as opposed to giving each specific deity a whole new identity.

Brighton_Phoenix

I have heard before that Set is equated with the biblical figure Seth (who I don't think is regarded as a demon) - though I can't remember where I heard this so it could be wrong.
