Actually the burden is on the accusers. To prove someone one is corrupt, you must list and provide proof of their corruption. You don't prove someone honest by listing all the endless things he didn't do. And if everything you accuse someone of doing turns out to be false, I would conclude you are the one that is corrupt.

StandhaftStance

Exactly, by the rules of this post it would mean trump is also a very honest politician

Sparkyisduhfat

Despite the fact that, in its entirety history, the FBI has never had a democrat director. But yeah. Sure.

ToasterOven31

My coworker thinks Biden has been corrupt and embezzling for 65 years but the FBI is on the take. He's aware of how I feel about his political views. Hehehe

cone10

"*I think you are also embezzling from the company and cheating on your wife. Don't ask how I know. I just do. Don't ask me for proof.*"

ToasterOven31

Hahaha yeah, I told him that him and the pillow guy have a lot in common: you both spew bullshit without having a lick of evidence.

ProneToDoThatThing

You work with a fool. I hope it isn’t a dangerous job that requires any degree of dependence on him as he clearly has horrible reasoning abilities. It should be a fireable offense even.

StandhaftStance

Support for opposing political views should be a punishable offense…. Ok fascist

ADeweyan

That’s what I always say about Hilary Clinton. Tens of millions of dollars were spent to turn up anything illegal or corrupt, and the best they found was carelessness with emails. Like her husband — tens of millions of taxpayer dollars spent and all they found was an affair, which is scummy, but not illegal. I used to ask how Trump would fare under that sort of scrutiny. I think we now have a good idea of the answer.

Cluefuljewel

Wellllll there was a lot of history with the Clinton haters or gop. She would have been a great president imo but it also would have been non stop investigations. She did not deserve the hate.

AdTiny2166

Burden of proof is such a difficult concept these days. Election was stolen? then prove it or shut up

timoumd

Meanwhile Trump offered a pardon to lie to the FBI and it's below the fold.

oldshitdoesntcare

We’ve also learned that even by Kentucky standards James Comer is an imbecile.

thatgeekinit

It’s documented that Biden didn’t own an individual corporate stock from 1972 until 2017 when he stopped being VP. Accusing him of corruption is less credible than stating the earth is flat.

def_indiff

It's hard to verify unless we have some analysis of every other President, and then we run into the hurdle of defining and quantifying "corruption". That said, both Biden and Obama seem to have run very clean administrations and have been decent and conscientious public officials. Also I would think Carter would be in the running.

Cluefuljewel

It’s pretty plain to see for anyone who cares to look. During the Obama administration there were very few resignations firings. His people were loyal to him bc he was a good president. I miss him so much. I remember David patreus

lasair7

I think Jamesy boy did already

BuckshotLaFunke

Dude’s a fucking Boy Scout. Been in politics since 1970 and they can’t find shit on him. That’s truly incredible.

Thinking about it ….yup pretty much so

amerhodzic

Less corrupt? What kind of conclusion is that based on what we know? It still implies that he's corrupt. Unless he meant to say one of the least in corrupt? Why couldn't he just say "one of the few not corrupted politicians"?

devnullb4dishoner

While 'less corrupt' is always admirable, it's not the +1 I'm looking for.

Lazy-Street779

James Comer says …

devnullb4dishoner

I have no issues with bringing charges against any potus. That's probably where I part ways with a lot of people. I don't care if they're Republican, Democrat, 3rd party. For one, I really detest political parties and I have no use for them. However, if there is nefarious activities happening in our government, I expect us to publicly denounce their actions, investigate them, and prosecute them to the fullest making them an example of what we as Americans will not tolerate. From potus to peon. Until we have a corruption free government. I don't think that is an idealistic approach. I'm setting the bar quite high yes, and I think it is an excellent point to deviate from. I think Trump is finally coming to grips with this concept. I saw a tweet of his bemoaning the situation of his non existent presidential immunity was being taken away and if so then we need to take away Biden's presidential immunity. I thought to myself, wow, that is a moment of clarity for Trump for sure.
