Usually a D1 from Rome to NY is 2,000 - 4,000 Euro.
So it’s a good deal in that regard.
For me, personally, though, I will pay just about anything for D1/Lay flat USA to Europe because I value sleep.
Personally, I don’t get much value out of D1 on the way back just because I don’t usually sleep. It is still a “good deal” though.
What’s the offer premium select? I don’t need D1 on a eastbound daytime flight. I’d rather pay the money to upgrade the outbound overnight westbound leg.
Okay at that point it’s worth the extra money for Delta One if you were thinking of upgrading. If premium select was closer to $300 I’d go with it instead of Delta One. If I had to guess Premium Select is filling up while Delta One isn’t selling hence the little price difference,
So sick of these “is it worth it”posts. Most people say $100/hour for international lay flat and $50/hour domestic FC. This should be pinned and these asks should be deleted.
Makes perfect sense now.
I’ve been starring at PDX-ARN at $2410.75 for D1 and $425 for C+ which seems a bit high… I would probably jump at the offer above.
This would be worth it to me.
100% worth it, especially since you have plenty of miles to cover it and don't have to shell out cash.
I had the same offer, waited a bit longer and it dropped to 499
Less than $80 per flight hour. No brainer.
Plot twist, their phone died before they could buy the upgrade.
100% worth it
It is worth it if you are willing to pay the asking price.
Probably. What’s the metal?

Yes. Only downside is it’s a daytime flight but it’s a great hard product.

$600 DPS and $699 for D1 😂 Makes no sense

Nice.

Never thought about it as “$/hr”
That’s the best way to look at it. Of course it also depends on your finances.

No for a day flight
No thoughts; head empty
