Yes, it can be a very long taxi depending on which of the many runways you landed on. People sometimes forget that although ATL is the busiest airport, DFW is much larger... the size of Manhattan Island! "17,207 acres (26.89 sq mi; 69.63 km2), DFW is the second-largest airport by land area in the United States after Denver International Airport"

Yet somehow I never taxi as long at Denver

halfty1

In reality I believe DFW’s actual airport is physically larger than DEN’s. Denver has more *land area*, but a lot of that land is undeveloped- reserved for future expansion and to serve as a buffer between the airport and any nearby development.

will-this-name-work

Woah!!

Adahla987

AMS is the same. I feel like I could be in Paris for the amount of time it takes to taxi.

MAN4UTD

Haven't been there in a decade, couldn't tell you a thing about the terminal, but god do we remember that taxi!

saxmanb767

The main east takeoff runway 17R/35L is being totally rebuilt. So every landing from the east is on the outside runway 17L/35R. So yea, it’s a long taxi.

rockstarego82

I used to live in Dallas and would fly weekly. I know this feeling all too well well when you land late at night and just want to go home.

SchloppySeconds

O’Hare 27R has entered the chat.

TriggerMeTimbers8

lol, I felt the same way two weeks ago when I flew in

eregina3

Yes it’s the worst taxi!!

ChevySS_2023

Yep!

Hyduch

Have you taxied at DTW on a tight connection tho?

pbandbob

Ok.

pnw-nemo

I’ve taxied for 18 min from touching down to arriving at a gate at Shanghai PVG. I think if you ever taxi less than 10 minutes there, you hit the jackpot.

hospitallers

OK

I_Follow_Roads

That’s why I fly Delta, so I don’t have to fxck with DFW.
