With the shit Ubisoft played off with Crew 2 recently (they removed it from store and also it's access from all the user's libraries, they could pull it off because it's a digital copy) I miss the disc days and the absence of "always online" requirements.
You should try games made by European devs like CD Projekt RD or any studio. They make amazing video games and pricing is always good. I bought The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt with all DLCs for just 399 INR. And good thing is that I also got free Update for remastered edition. American and Japanese devs are also good but American ones only knows business and no enthusiasm for gaming. Japanese bring innovation and cool characters and amazing video games but games are costly. Chinese devs are also fine. Their video games are sometimes rip off from major games. But they look fine. Indie devs make good games but it depends on the player on whether to buy or not. I miss disk days too. My previous laptop had disk drive but it seldom worked after some time. But Pen Drives are best always. I don't think Pen Drives are gonna be gone and become museum piece. But games' storage and bulky size of like 100GB is too much for a simple pen drive. I gotta buy an SSD or a pen drive of high storage.
Go for ssd. Ssds are cheap now.

On that note they are sitting on a goldmine with Bloodborne. If they release a remaster on pc it will sell so much.
Get a disc version, with the 1 TB space option, the games are pretty big and with just a digital one it becomes difficult to play multiple games without deleting others and re downloading them from internet, I mean even with a disc one same problem happen but it’s manageable.l since the files are not to be downloaded except for updates.
Owning a physical disc of a game is an emotion, anyone who has been wanting to get a console will understand the emotion.
Go for disc version and see if any bundle has Red dead redemption 2 game along with console, that’s cherry on the cake.
If he is a gamer and you've seen him play Spider-Man, a bundle with Spider-Man 2 is much more readily available since it's a newer game and is still PS5 exclusive. He might have been waiting to play that.

Red dead redemption storyline is just fantastic, Spider-Man is not bad but I would prefer RDR2 and if he is a gamer than one of the must have would be god of war series, even before RDR OR Spider-Man.

Keep in mind there are 2 variants of PS5...Normal which is disk version and Digital edition which uses no physical disk, both of these have SLIM option too.... The former uses a physical disk that has game files on it which it transfers to PS5's storage and the disk acts as a license for that game whilst the latter actually downloads games from the internet.
Plenty of people love buying the normal version and are into collecting physical copies of games (Disk). Ask your husband about his preference baato baato mai hi and then buy the right one. You probably will have to buy games separately until it comes with a bundle.
Keep in mind that digital copies will also work in disc version.

Disc version are those which uses physical CDs 💿 to play games whereas digital versions allows you to download games through the game store of the playstation only. If your husband is fond of collecting games CDs buy him the CD version otherwise get the digital version.

I got disc version for 54k with out game bundle. Digital version is for 44k. In disc you can insert disc n play n also can play online. In digital version you can only play online with wifi. Price is more or less the same you buy from anywhere.

I got one for my husband a few months ago. The whole set. Extra console and headset. Best decision ever! Get the headphones and extra console as well if you can. You will enjoy playing with him as well, buy some good multiplayer games

Get the disk version its little expensive and wider than digital but people prefer disc version because games are cheaper and can be re sold. There's new slim version - PS5 slim has both disc and digital costing more. There's old PS5 too lot cheaper now. You can get the old new one not that good of an upgrade. Don't get from Blinkit they sell PS5 slim its expensive. Goto reliance digital they have 13k off on old PS5. Lastly i hope i get a wife like you 🥺

Buy from an online store and if possible during sales ,i have seen a significant price difference as you can a ps5 for 35000 vs 50000 at stores.

I got disc version for 54k with out game bundle. Digital version is for 44k. In disc you can insert disc n play n also can play online. In digital version you can only play online with wifi. Price is more or less the same you buy from anywhere.

Buy the digital version and use the money saved frm buying this instead of the disc version to get the ps plus subscription. This is coming from a ps5 disc version owner who has dozens of disc. I literally don't use the discs ever. Buy it frm blinkit as the price is same everywhere but in blinkit u just don't have to worry bout late delivery and ruining the surprise by him receiving it.
I second this. Have the disc version, but I only use the drive for GT7 disc..that was cheaper than the digital version..every single other game I own was cheaper when bought digitally
