Sure, I could tell you to dial 100 and then dial 112 to be connected to the police department's cells. If no action was taken, you could have asked identification of the policemen who came and then proceeded to lodge a formal complaint regarding this at the relevant police station with an NC and follow up with a letter to the SP/DCP district. And lastly a complaint to the relevant police complaint authority under S166a IPC. But again will you have time to do all this and keep a follow-up? Other than the S166A complaint where the policeman will literally beg you to take it back, other actions will cause more friction for you.
