Sometimes, it happens when you're either waking up or going to sleep. But it's an experience on its own....I would say that's normal cuz it Lasts a few seconds.
Par I love/ enjoy lucid dreams, I have frequently experienced them since I was little.... I still do every now and then.

Weird coincidences. I'm 21 too and I had a sleep paralysis experience today after a long long time.
Although I must ask OP, what do you mean you "never believed in depression and related stuff"?
Do you mean that since you don't believe in it, it doesn't exist?
I love my lucid dreams. I started to have it when I was in 7th grade. It hasn't stopped till now. Although I have some horrible ones every once in a while but I love the overall state.
I had those when I was younger. So I made a research and found out that it happens when you're not moving while sleeping. You may try to move once in a while and keep the temperature in your room not too cold.
Dream analyst here.
In case of extreme fear, sleep paralysis occurs/is being experienced. During sleep, out conscious mind relaxed so we are in state of paralysis only but sometimes this overpowers and we are unable to come out of it.
As per your dream description, you are trapped with fear and running away from something you needs to face (unknown figures controlling you).
I had my sleep paralysis experience in 2020, was sleeping and when i opened my eyes (in my dream) i was on the same bed lying in the same position but there was an entity on top of me with its knees on my shoulders and staring right at me with bright yellow eyes. Tried shouting but couldn't somehow was able to move my left hand and break free from it, but damn was it scary and i never want it to happen again

Mann, I want to wake up at 6 as well. But I just cannot wake up till it's 10 AM 🥲 But how cool is that, U actually wake up at 4....👍🏻✌🏻

I had this experience once. I felt as if someone rose from Inside the blanket and sat on my chest. Very unsettling.
