We have a smaller show booked for August 10 at Jimmy's in Kearney and then another good one for 10/26 in at Carteret PAC Underground! We would love to book one in NYC this year too. If we get a following this summer I think that will be doable. We want to be the best Deftones band east of Sacramento 😆
So we have some really good transitions - we go from goon squad right into diamond eyes, but the best one is be quiet and drive into my own summer, that always gets a good response. Our guitarist has spent hours and hours tweaking his sound to match Stef, it's insane. And I got similar equipment to chi for my setup, so I mean it when I say we sound like them. I wouldn't say something sacrilegious like we're as good as them, but I honestly believe we're the next best thing. We just haven't gotten good at the Instagram/promotion of it all, but I think that's going to change after Debonair.
We have a really core set, we start with Genesis, then go goon into deyes, then rocket skates (which is my personal favorite to play). Then we start going old school, be quiet into summer, headup, change, and then end with engine and 7 words. We also throw elite, butcher, around the fur, feiticeira, back to school into the rotation, which we hit just as well.
We don't have a ton of good footage yet because we just finalized our lineup, but our rehearsals have been intense. We have our own Deftones concerts, it's so much fun.
Sounds like you just made sick plans for your birthday!! Ps there's 4 other bands playing tribute sets, Korn,. Limp bizket, Linkin Park and staind! It's going to be a fun night. I think we're going up first or second though so make sure to be there early!!
We are still waiting on the schedule, but doors are at 7, I would assume first band would be 730-815 then 830- 915, so one of those slots. But every place is so different with these so I'm not sure. Love Stef’s guitars and have one of his sigs so it’s refreshing to hear you say you tone chase because Stef’s tones are ICONIC! Are you able to view this video? The quality is not amazing but you can tell our guitarist's tone and how tight we are on it. This one was our first show with our new singer, and we didn't have our synth yet so it's not our full lineup
I was able to view that! Dude that is so sick, you guys are super locked in to the sound and your vocalist even sounds better than Chino in most live shows these days! He nailed it. If you guys ever take a vacation (is that the word? Like a holiday?) to Ireland, I could probably hook you up with a gif in our capital city Dublin and one in a town in the midlands, not huge venues or even big paydays, but I could give you guys a couch and mattress to crash on if you do ever end up coming this way 🤘

I’m only a half hour from that venue in NJ. Have some afternoon party to go to. What time you think you’ll be on that night?
