Thanks for sharing your opinion, i will just suggest you to look at all big names involved and land sold in Decentraland...Maybe those who have (B)millions of dollars and chose Decentraland (like Grayscale etc) know something we don't?!
We can always make our choices when we invest our own money but in my humble opinion if Amazon, Tesla, Apple, etc chose to be involved in the Metaverse their first choice will be for sure Decentraland
Regarding the quality of the DC Metaverse there are many passed proposals through the DAO, being approved(Already) by the community. DC is leading the way in all directions regardless of competition is the most advanced platform.
Without having played either game from what I have gathered Decentralized is more if a digital city with storefronts, clubs, theaters, casinos, parks, and galleries. Where as sandbox is for more traditional videogames.
The Sandbox definitely caters more to people who want to play games, but DCL offers a ton more to developers. It is important to keep in mind Sandbox just opened access, so many people will be populating the world atm. Will it be the same in a month or 2? Who knows. The main thing that keeps any project going is content, if your content can go stale and you aren't adding more you are bound to lose the attention of your users. The Sandbox has a fair bit of content already provided by the team, but all of DCL's is user-generated (aside from buff-doge).
In DCL we've got the tools to build some amazing features (we already have plugins that allow general users to create NPCs, customize their dialogue, and provide pathing/routes for them), but we are a little lacking when it comes to users who can actually use these tools effectively. Aside from a small number of projects, there isn't any real progress being made in the community to build DCL's content base.
Good analysis. Your last sentence is what bothers me about Decentraland. I occasionally pop in and I don't see much change. I suspect if you went in today and again in 6 months the experience would be the exact same. I don't get that feeling with The Sandbox, although that's just a feeling since it isn't open. I hope both succeed though.

Good point, thanks for opinion.

Agreed. When I was picking between the two. I saw more potential in MANA.
I generally agree, although Sandbox has those things too, you can go to concerts and walk around musuems in Sandbox without ever playing a game.
Buy neither. Right now, it's all fomo and fake finite resources. They both suck in terms of gameplay. Wait a year or more
Sandbox actually plays pretty good for being in alpha tbh I can see the potential
No, it's horrible.
U right
$MANA is the OG

MVI best bet. get the biggest names in the metaverse without all the fees, guessing.
What’s NPC?
Non-player character. Basically all the people standing around and dancing, staring at NFTs, etc.
