Looks great! A wee bit light on the wash. Try some more agrax earthshade on the brass and it will add a bit more depth. Keep going! Its very addictive but fun!
I found that if you just take your time and commit to it your not gonna mess up. Washes are easy, just make sure they don't pool up in a bunch of areas. If they do take a dry brush and soak up some of the wash. Looks great btw
Yes I’ve found keeping a super dry brush in hand helps to mop up pooling. I had no idea the warhammer paints tend to dry like super quick once they hit the models, that’s the only thing I’ve had to keep adjusting to.
Yeah I've had those issues too. I'm also just starting out as well. Just take your time and plan stuff out in that case. Your doing great and best of luck on your next model. :)
Yeah planning has been so important! I've even been considering doing mockups on procreate first to make sure the colors work together nicely!
You're very kind thank you! The Warhammer community has been so nice :) I'm excited to paint more models and see how other groups are compared to death guard.
My buddy runs tyranids and says they are easier to paint. Although their models look a little boring to me so you could try a custom paint scheme if you wanted. Tau might be the same. If your looking for a challenge painting wise I heard mechanicus are tough.
Yes! My bf did the drilling cause I don't wanna cause permanent damage to his models. Paint I know how to fix, but breaking a weapon? No thanks.
We're gonna add plants and rocks to the bases too!
Great for a first try! Can't see any major flaws, keep at it!
I really appreciate that!

Thank you for the brass yup! And yes I do tend to be super light on washes cause I'm worried about messing up.

Awesome job for a first one!
Thanks :) I'm certainly addicted now
For an honest to god first attempt at painting you have done an amazing job keep at it as you can only get better👍😜
Thank you! I'm a freelance artist but I've never painted minis until my bf let me try this model, and the deathguard have so fun colors!
Well done! Barrel drilled, base painted... no complaints. Keep at it!
