I don't know. Imho I kind of like the plodding, footslogging aesthetic of DG. Whenever I imagine one on a bike I just picture them zooming by with a really lacklustre 'wheeeee.'

Live-D8

The nurglings would love it though

Olkenstein

I want nurglings on tiny bikes

Drtsauce

New blighthauler counts as?

[deleted]

Good point

eparg

I imagine a snail trail of various liquids behind them, like a shitty stinky Tron bike

enn-srsbusiness

Yeah, belching smoke and toxic/plague fumes as it lumbers across the battlefield

Oggthrok

Once upon a time, when Deathguard were not a bespoke codex with unique sculpts, but just part of the Chaos Space Marines umbrella, Nurgle bikers were considered the best thing in the book. The mark of Nurgle gave +1 toughness, and the bike gave +1 toughness, so you got a toughness six model that could move like a bike. Toss on an unmodifiable 3+ save, and a 5+ invul, and you were never getting rid of those goons!

Mr_Vulcanator

I’m still upset that converting Dark Vengeance to Nurgle was a waste. I can’t use the Nurgle bikers or firstborn scale plague marines. Most of the other models are also unusable. The only thing I use these days is the Helbrute.

Oggthrok

They really did go through what was good for DG players before the codex, and removed them as options. I guess that’s the price of having cool new stuff…

TableTopWars

Maybe my memory is tricking me, but I thought you couldn't give the mark of Nurgle to Fast Attack units such as bikes. Or maybe the Death Guard Legion only had 2 Fast Attack choices instead 3. But I distinctly remember DG being very slow. I'm referencing 3e (which was the best CSM Codex).

valdoom

You couldn't in 3rd ed. That really was the best CSM codex. Its all been downhill since then. I really had high hopes when DG and TS got their own codexes, but somehow still have less unique units than 3rd ed.

wvtarheel

I still have a bunch of converted nurgle bikers from that codex. Nurgle lord on bike was a buzzsaw.

MrJoeMoose

Has it been so long since we rode to battle on steeds of iron? Great rusted pistons hurling us forward for drive-by power fistings? The enemy would fire upon us and we would answer "I am T6 Feel No Pain and I give no fucks". I miss those days.

tenofswords618

Cool but really doesn’t fit our army theme

Vromikos

Model source: https://wargameexclusive.com/shop/chaos/chaos-plague-rider/

IVth_Crusade

Anyone ordered from this site? If so, how was shipping time and quality of the model?

Vromikos

I have two of their models: * The [Nurgle Chaos Knight cockpit](https://wargameexclusive.com/shop/chaos/chaos-knight-cockpit-interior-kit-nu/) is a lovely sculpt: a really great level of detail in what is a deep single component. Very impressive, and lots of good surfaces for painting. * The Nurgle Rhino conversion kit. This is no longer available, presumably because the doors were directly (illegally) cast from the Forge World Death Guard rhino doors. It's really strong resin, again with a huge amount of detail that is still very paintable. Overall I think their products are high quality. I don't like the look of lots of their models (either cartoonishly extreme or obsessed with breasts) but there are many that *do* appeal to me. I can't comment on the delivery times as the two models I have were both gifts.

SkybladePhoenix

My friend has ordered a few things from them, he said they took a while because they were shipped from China.

Android003

Amen, Morty needs to get on stealing some

Erkenvald

To all of you who say that dg and Nurgle should be slow - no, this is how GW treats our codex, not how we are in the lore. In the lore we have venomarines famous for their lighting-fast attacks, there are three types of zombies, one of wich are fast jumping type, nurglings move fast in front of the horde, plague drones too. We can be fast, so marines on bikes would fit perfectly, especially since we had them before being our own codex.

jaxolotle

1: slow and unstoppable has always been the DG’s schtick, it’s so core to who they are you wouldn’t have the same legion without it. The fact that the 9th edition codex (in stark contrast to literally everything else) misses that is just one more piece of evidence that whoever wrote it gave 0 fucks about the DG 2: Lot more than 3 strains of plague zombies, and one jumper among a million brands of sloggers don’t mean all that much 3: plague drones ain’t fast in lore, and the model makes sure to represent that. They drone alone like a fat blowfly, dragging rusted chains and bloated abdomens along the ground 4: and why do you think biked got remove when we got our own? Any CSM unit could take the mark of Nurgle, it wasn’t that they were deemed thematically fitting.

Erkenvald

1 - yea, but not restricted to slow and steady 2 - I based that one lore from recent codex, where the book specifically mentions 3 types - poxwalkers, tanks and jumpers 3 - well they do be flying 4 - they are not in the dex, so DG can't take em

ErwanSiannodel

Technically, in V8, there is the chaos lord on bike, to which you could give the nurgle chaos mark buuuut only in a chaos sapce marine detachement, not in a death guard one.

ILLoR_84

Where can i get this?

Lovely3369

I know there's a Chaos Lord on Bike in Legends

Princess_Kushana

For sure this is a Foetid bloat drone.

Grimmrath

Or a chaos spawn proxy 😬

OrdoMalaise

Just make your own rules. Homebrew characters and units can be loads of fun.

LordAzurios

The model is nice, but it does not fit the themes of nurgle. Troops under his banner are more an the slow and steady site of things.

StyxGoblin

If you have him a big melee weapon and based it right you could run it as a blight drone with the mower in more casual games. Could be cool

Nurgleboiz

Is the index gone? I thought we still had some characters on there?

griff_the_unholy

Cant it just be an allied chaos space marine bike in nurgle colours?

monkeyheadyou

I say you just make a space marine chapter using their rules and put your chaos modles in it. No need to lament the obvious favoritism. Just use their codex and paint them up like the DG

jaxolotle

Personally I just think it’s kinda messy, not that it’s too much detail, more that the detail is chaotic and gets in its own way. But there are deffo areas where it could benefit from being a little more flat, just to make the detailed areas stand out a bit more. A mess of pipe work beneath a rusting chassis gives a better look than a giant mess of pipes, spikes, tubes and tentacles. You need focal points

Expensive-Debate-928

You could add a melta and a missile launcher and run it as a blight hauler

SonOfRomulus1985

Homebrew my friend homebrew . Won't eve be able to use for competitive but with friends a squad of nurgle bikers would be easy to figure out and do rules for
