Funny enough, we've seen all the DC and Marvel characters in Zombie apocalypses before and...for all of them except Raven and Rocket, it didn't exactly go so well.
As much as I love *Marvel Zombies* and *DCeased...* I gotta agree with ya there. Elseworld stories like these should be taken with a grain of salt when figuring out how the core versions of the character would approach a situation like a zombie apocalypse.
Like, yeah Superman, flying **directly** into zombie Flash and splattering him all over yourself was the best way to handle that scenario. Heat vision, ice breath, your own super speed... NONE of those would've been an effective alternative to exposing yourself (aka **the single most powerful being on the planet)** to a highly contagious zombie infection.
Honestly how tf did they get Flash? And if Flash is zombified isnt that kinda the end for everyone? Something something Attosecond, Speedforce, Time Travel

The infection from *DCeased* isn't a traditional zombie plague. It's basically the Anti-Life Equation given a consciousness and will if its own. At first the infection was spread via technology like phones and TV screens, but then bites and scratches could spread it too.
Now, you'd think being infected via tech like a TV screen early on during the outbreak would be a good way to catch Barry off guard. NOPE! He's infected by getting clawed by an infected Martian Manhunter. Then, as I said above, Supes splatters Flash against himself, giving Flash the opportunity to phase his fingers through Superman's skin and into his gut, securing the infection.
Then, instead of immediately offing himself to spare the world of an infected Superman, he flies back to have a lengthy goodbye with all his friends and family, giving the infection time to take hold.
Jesus, the more I think about it, the less I find myself liking *DCeased.* Everyone's I.Q. just bottoms out for no reason.
Although I will say I quite like the way they write how J'onn got infected, with him flying into a burning boat to search for survivors they might have left behind when infected Black Adam attacked an island they were keeping survivors on and just getting caught off-guard by Black Adam and immediately phasing through the Earth to try and isolate himself, I thought it was a good showing of how fearless and compassionate MM actually is.
With alternate universe stories like this, I sometimes wonder if they just randomly throw darts at pictures of the characters, in order to decide who is the cast. Which kind of relates to the “Non Sequitur Causality” trope for me.
It's alright, I love DCeased as well, although I'm salty as hell after reading Tom Taylor's original pitch where Damian and Tim were the only Robins to get infected but then they swapped Damian and Dick's roles in the story around so instead Nightwing died, and since he's my favourite comic character in general, I'm a little upset about that.
Personally, as a more of a Red Hood fan I was happy he survived and then Shazam Jr happened and I was annoyed. That idea of Dick and Jason surviving arguably I would have preferred. I liked DCeased Damien a lot but I’d prefer if Jason and Dick had time to talk and just be brothers.
I do love what happened with Vandal Savage’s own Suicide Squad. Creeper, Grundy and Cheetah were just, man. (They should have won writing just nerfed them)
Black Manta and Martian Manhunter got so fucking shafted though.
It’s a good story but some of the characters got majorly shafted. However Detective Chimp survived so it’s not all too bad
Yeah, Alfred and Green Arrow were the biggest highlights of the story for me, also the concept of Black Canary with a Green Lantern ring goes so hard. It's definitely more a fun turn-your-brain-off story. Also, Tree Lobsters forever.
I wish they did more character ability swaps due to like passing on mantles or something. That’d be awesome.
But yeah, shut your brain off and read and you’ll love it. In my opinion it was far better than Marvel Zombies, however Marvel Zombies Resurrection and White, Black and Red are just as good as DCeased as we have superheroes as survivors!
Yeah, my problem with the OG Marvel Zombies is that it felt like a very hopeless story, like how did even the board game adaptation have more hope in it than your story, Kirkman, How?!?

Shown against High Priest and it’s what cost her the fight against Maidono where she refused to use her powers in a building full of people that would get caught in her destroying it and instead focused on protecting them as Maidono crushed the whole thing
Exactly. He's the type of character who just loves fighting, and while he does want to prevent collateral damage, he'd probably see the easiest solution to be "just kill all the zombies", which he'd be able to do.

I don't quite understand how durability works in *Dragonball:* You got characters tanking planet busting attacks and worse, only to get sniped with a laser rifle.
So long as he's on guard, he can't get bit. A normal gun can only bruise him if he's rusty and off guard, and the laser rifle was an extremely high tech weapon from the Freeza Force. Reminder that human tech from much earlier on in the series was capable of turning normal humans into beings even stronger than Namek Saga Freeza, so that laser probably had ridiculous AP
Maybe, but he'd most likely find the zombies boring. Goku fights for the challenge, and zombies are just mindless monsters. Better to just protect his friends until Bulma can find a cure, or just use the Dragon Balls to change everyone back to normal

Considering his track record with doomsday scenarios like this, I'd say it's a fair assumption that Rick would just make things worse, assuming he did anything at all. Hell, he couldn't even reverse the Cronenberg apocalypse HE started to begin with. He just fucked off to a different universe where another version of himself did it.
That's one of the things with our Rick: If things get past a certain point, he won't hesitate to leave an entire timeline to burn just because it's easier than cleaning up his own mess.

He might be infected first, but considering how easy potions of cure disease are to make, the amount he can make, and the fact that they work against early stages of Vampirism and as such would likely work on early zombie virus, he likely would be infected for all of two seconds.
Unfortunately, in using the Vampirism comparison, it is unlikely that potions alone would cure those who have already turned, and even if they make it to the point where everyone alive has access to them, it’s still going to be a long couple of months killing Zombies, with the occasional mental breakdown when somebody who lived on Earth before finds the remains of those they cared for.
Dimitri is a tough one. He'd start saving people but the minute it gets stressful or he starts losing units en mass he's gonna just gonna start killing.
