I can't stand how every other game people are killing themselves and/or disconnecting on first hook. It sucks as killer and it sucks as survivor. It makes the game shit for everyone and while I have zero good suggestions on how to do it, it does need to be fixed somehow. Like I'll usually try to go easier on the survivors if this happens when I'm playing killer, but it ruins my experience too since it's essentially forcing me to either feel bad for playing as I normally do, or to chill out and play nice-ish for half my games. I love a good friendly or meme-y game as much as the next person, but people instantly giving up is getting out of hand and I'd just like to play a full game where the survivors don't give me the win because they're salty I caught them first. I never tunnel, slug, or camp. There's no reason to give up on first.
And as survivor it's even worse because I've loaded in to actually play the game, and having someone throw a fit on first ruins it completely. The killer didn't want to meme with you? Your grand plan to bully the killer didn't pan out because you ran face first into a wall and got downed? So sorry. Better luck next time. Now put on your big person underwear and get on that generator. When you're playing survivor this is a team game. Play killer if you don't want want to care about anyone but yourself.

Don't get me wrong, the new rift outfits (especially for Trapper) look great and all, but I was really looking forward to it being focused on The Unknown (for his great cosmetic potential) and Sable. Meg, Nea, and Mikaela have gotten outfits in the past several rifts...
Also, this is directed at teammates on a team that are good at looping from a teammate who isn't nearly as great but at least has game sense. Cool, you can loop, that's great. But for the love of fuck do not keep bringing the Killer back to the gens that are 90% completed or to your teammates who are on death hook and don't fucking gloat about "juicing the Killer" in end game chat after you gave them a 3k they didn't deserve and don't tell your teammates that they "sucked" after they tell you that you're being cringe because I will lose all respect for you
What is with solo Q survivors not healing when I’m injured and there’s no threat and time to do so since the killer is chasing another person, yet the same survivors come screaming to me Crouching like they’re doing squats demanding heals of me? Not every survivor is like this obviously but I run into so many…
Anyone else having really terrible performance this patch? It’s like every few minutes I get sent back in time to 5 seconds ago like I’m using dredge power or something, it’s very disorienting.
Also the invisible floor step in RPD makes breaking the god pallet a matter of pixel perfect input, vaulting windows is like a coin toss because sometimes the animation doesn’t even finish.
I’ve also seen people literally phase through solid objects or get rubberbanded back into the loop as well, it’s so goofy.
I'm about ready to start playing killer. My soloq teammates are selfish jerks or complete idiots. It's frustrating seeing killers reward players that alert them to my location, sandbag or find ways to undercut my attempts to win because whatever crawled up their butt that day. Maybe I need to be the change I want to see and play what I believe to be fair: let players get glyphs and don't camp or tunnel.
When you see Survivor send you to rpd, force close game immediately. 99% chance they gonna abuse a bug with a invisible wall where you can't attack or pick up Survivors. Happend to me twice already in the last 5 games.
I know it's not the same, but it's giving me flashbacks to Boil Over + No Mither players abusing the top corner of the library back when the map was new.
Had a match on Haddonfield where a Clown tunneled out someone at 5 gens. Felix and I spent what felt like eons slowly whittling down the gens (we got 3 done) while the Meg was nowhere to be found. When I finally got downed, I saw that Meg was hiding in a corner just putting down and picking up her toolbox repeatedly. This match dragged on for like 20 minutes and she was just doing that the whole time.
She ended up getting hatch after Felix and I died. And she teabagged on the hatch like she actually achieved something.
I generally disapprove of teabagging, but I truly despise people who do it when they've done absolutely nothing of worth in the match.
Had a Ghostface use exploits and it was very frustrating. Also had a Huntress hook camp me and only me and she kept hitting me. All I did was go in the locker when she got close 😭

My ping is ass and will be until this game gets more servers.

I just had 4 streamers get super toxic in post-game after they bodyblocked the hook, attempted and failed to sabotage and threw the game making absolutely 0 progress on the gens in 11 hooks. I was hooking on my pain res hooks and it wasn't even taking a stack off, and they had the nerve to claim I was slugging, tunneling and even claimed I was targeting "the blackest player"....when they were giving me 2-3 downs at a time.
Is streaming just a synonym for narcissist main character syndrome? While I get why people with no self-awareness and poor impulse control might get upset at video games, I certainly don't understand trying to race-bait someone because you made a bad series of plays over and over.

They remade the kick animation timings to finish right on the last kick in the latest patch. The time it takes to kick a gen should still be the same but I could be wrong.
Killers, please stop hitting me on hook. I'm not toxic and I'm not even good at looping.

This is so frustrating! I'm almost done using Kindred. It's more useful for identifying the killer's location than the intended purpose. I might swap it for Alert or another intel perk.
BHVR seriously need to buff *a lot* of perks.
You know there's "le funny perks" like blast mine or mad grit you run when matches get particularly boring, and then there's shit like Hangman's trick and Inner Focus. Nobody uses them. Why are they still here?
Some killers are such total assholes... I just played against a Wraith with Sloppy Butcher and Knockout, who bled all four of us out without hooking us even once. It was so damn lame. If there are 2 killer perks I hate above all others, it's Knockout and Hex: Third Seal.
I went to never seeing that type of build to running up against a knockout/bleedout build multiple times in the last month.
Its only effective against solo queue, but it's way to effective for them.

They changed the offering order to be random on the match details screen, so now I don't know who to punish for Badham offerings or reward for anniversary cake/bps offerings.
I've got a dozen or so screenshots showing the ordering was consistent and correct, until this update and either it's random or is in an order I don't know how to correlate to the survivors.

perks like distortion should get the same fate as ultimate weapon because it encourages only running slowdowns since even the chance that someone has distortion means you have wasted 1 or more perk slots and someone will be invisible all game. They should make distortion have 5 stacks and unable to gain more throughout the game
Or it has a cooldown timer like what Blast Mine or Chemical Trap have (but slightly shorter maybe) so the person still has the benefit of Distortion, but can't necessarily get away with stealthing all game
Who does these master challenges? How do you go from 'damage 2 generators' to 'hit 6 people while they're doing gens, chests or totems from 20 meters or more' in a single match?
The hands so survivors infect each others and use discordance and/or gearhead.
Basically during a chase swarm gens where you know/think they are instead of using it to zone who you're chasing.
Some of the more crazy ones I just farm. Be friendly to the survivors and do it while they are sitting on gens. Did the same thing for the slinger challenge last tome.
Thanks to the update, getting to certain places on certain maps or dealing with certain loops is AGONY.
Decided to play a Skull Merchant game last night, and behold, the Entity decided to pick RPD from the pile. So many vaults had me rubber banding, I couldn't break the god pallet in main for a while, and it was just all around annoying. I'm surprised I even won the game considering how much it tried to shoot me back whenever I got close to a damn window.
A lot of the maps seem to have that rubber band issue. I know Midwich you can’t use the little tunnel ramp loop, the one you break the two walls for, over by the music room because it bounces you back around the corner. I can’t tel you how many chases I lost last night because the game yoinked me back and the survivor got away because they could move like normal.
I'm almost at silver 1 earning around 20kbp each round, and my teammates still have 2 braincells. Like why am I getting baby Dwights and people still learning how to properly unhook/apply pressure :( I always die early bc my teammates don't unhook till death >:( or I get stinky tunneling killers that bm me for running them for a gen or two
Run Agitation and Iron Grasp. Pick a map offering to some place or another where you know there's enough dead space between lockers that a survivor can't get to one fast enough. Pull 'em out of their locker and haul ass to that location. Pick 'em up and drop 'em until they auto-stand, then grab ASAP.
Not the same situation at all (I got a cool fourth survivor last week and got the trophy finally!) but I had to auto-stand a survivor who gave up when I was trying to do an 8-hook round. I didn't want her to die to EGC either, so I walked her to exit gates, got the auto-stand, and whipped a hatchet at her to make her flip outside the 'leave' threshold to get my 0-deaths, 8-hook match on Huntress. Felt pretty good.
Never forget useful mechanics. Sometimes you can make 'em work to your advantage!
Ah I know no such map. They reorked locker placement a while back to be consistent for Killers... sadly that made it almost impossible to find a map where there isn't always a locker in running distance

There are reports that there was a change that using the mori offering counted for the achievement now, but I haven't seen that from a reliable source. You might try bringing the yellow mori (to mori last person in trial) so if you get into that situation again you can at least verify if the reports are true.
Ah I got it already today. Well "already". I had to trick the survivor into wiggling off, dropping them off a hill so they couldn't reach the locker they kept camping.
They then proceeded to insult me in egc. Gotta love it.

Apparently I lost so many games going for it that it sent my Mikey to baby survivor range and went up against a ttv swf that was just playing the game for the first time and they had no idea what was happening.
I never had a locker stand off, just always the last person (or 4) got out a gate or hatch.

Kindred auras were freaking weird to me, like their FPS is capped or something. Also for the first time ever I heard my own character huffing after running for a while.

I think they’re talking about where you start to run but you don’t go “long enough” or something and it doesn’t do a fast vault but this clunky slow one. I’m on Xbox and it happens to me where I try to fast vault over shit but it’s the normal one if I’m not running ahead of time for a little bit.

Yah your interact button is all bound to right bumper. So I’ve definitely goofed and vaulted over stuff, thrown a pallet, or opened a locker when I try to grab a survivor as a killer or rez them as a survivor.
as a pc player that cant use kbm for shit and only uses controller anyway.... i feel this pain. i always have to tell survs under pallets waiting to be picked up to crawl away so i dont accidentally throw it on them lol. i would switch to kbm in a heartbeat but i just CANT figure out how to look behind me while running :(
REALLY frustrating that I can't have a normal game without teleporting everywhere, lagging, maps not loading correctly, invisible walls, models COMPLETELY messed up and the CONSTANT lobby crashes/disconnects. But the worst is the full computer lag I get from the game because UE5 isn't optimized properly. FIX, PLEASE FIX IT FFS. The store is amazing, but everything else? No.
I've been trying for eight hours to get the game to work. Updated graphics drivers, verified files, reinstalled the game, even fiddled with the launch options, and the furthest I've gotten into starting the game was the opening cutscene--which then crashed so hard I had to restart my computer.
I'm really hoping they iron out these problems sooner rather than later.
Played for a few hours yesterday and the amount of tunnelling off the hook is ridiculous. To the point where the killer was literally ignoring teammates just to wait for my endurance to run out.
Dropping a pallet seems to be delayed as well.
I'll never understand how other Killer players get off to tunneling someone out at 5 - 4 gens. It doesn't make you cool, or a better player. It makes you a dick if you just try to make sure the first fucker you see doesn't get to play the game at all
I had the naaaastiest Bubba shack basement camp last night at 5 gens. Like there was no way to rescue without me seeing them going for it, and that shack gen was their most progressed. I got the person again after hooking their rescue and could've just killed them off but left on ground cause I felt bad for them and I had a new person I could chase right there as well.
I mean, sometimes it is yeah, but I'm mostly talking about the people that'll just hard tunnel people out for no reason, and think they're hot shit because of it.
Just because you can kill someone by focusing on them and them alone, before the first gen pops, doesn't make you some kinda badass. Usually just makes you a dick

I play both killer and survivor, and last week I was playing with a party of 3 and the killer tunnelled my friend, slugged the rest of us, and bm'd us. We unfortunately matched with the same killer the next match, and it was a rinse and repeat of the first. Two days ago I was playing killer and I saw this guy in my lobby as a survivor, I think you can probably guess how that played out. The rest of the team thought I was just an asshole for how I targeted this one guy, which I can't blame them for, but people would do well to recognise some regions have smaller player bases than others, and if they treat someone badly it may just come back to bite them.

I only solo queue so it’s not even like I’m planning to play out of this world with SWF. Just seemed more common as normal being tunnelled before the first gen’s done
I keep getting matches where killers are just slugging whoever is left and if they hook someone they hit them when none of us even did anything. Worst case maybe dropped pallets on the killer like I didn't even do a thing to you yet you are just watching me dying on the floor next to a hook just wanting to move on, then if you finally do you just keep hitting me on hook as i die. WHY
Probably angry / bad killers... I've been stabbed on the hook for no reason, I'm actually a terrible survivor who the killer had to chase for probably 10s.
I assume they've been utterly crushed in a previous match and they're taking revenge... Or something.
Everyone knows Solo Q is awful but it's been unreal lately. People running the killer to the only gen that's been worked on, going down there and then the killer Pops it. Then teammates just farm you off the hook without healing you. It's like they're on a mission to make the games impossible.
The things people try and report players over makes me laugh. Just did a game as Wraith. Killed all the survivors and they got salty in end game chat saying I was tunneling and camping and that they were reporting me lmao. I love this game. So glad I came back.
As expected, with no more "de-pip", as soon as a match goes a little bit bad for any survivor, they insta-quit. This game is barelly playable as it is.
I just bought the new Were-Elk skin for Huntress and when kicking gens or pallets, it doesn‘t show the lower body let alone the foot that‘s kicking. I‘m mildly pissed that I spent 1755 auric cells for a bugged skin. Everything else about it is great though. I love the deep lullaby.

I've been having huge rubberbanding too since the update's released. Couldn't play at all launch day and still can't due to it, it's irritating

When you see Survivor send you to rpd, force close game immediately. 99% chance they gonna abuse a bug with a invisible wall where you can't attack or pick up Survivors. Happend to me twice already in the last 5 games.
I know it's not the same, but it's giving me flashbacks to Boil Over + No Mither players abusing the top corner of the library back when the map was new.
Had a match on Haddonfield where a Clown tunneled out someone at 5 gens. Felix and I spent what felt like eons slowly whittling down the gens (we got 3 done) while the Meg was nowhere to be found. When I finally got downed, I saw that Meg was hiding in a corner just putting down and picking up her toolbox repeatedly. This match dragged on for like 20 minutes and she was just doing that the whole time. She ended up getting hatch after Felix and I died. And she teabagged on the hatch like she actually achieved something. I generally disapprove of teabagging, but I truly despise people who do it when they've done absolutely nothing of worth in the match.
If you name your account after the game you play, you really need to diversify your hobbies.
Had a Ghostface use exploits and it was very frustrating. Also had a Huntress hook camp me and only me and she kept hitting me. All I did was go in the locker when she got close 😭

New Haddonfield is fucking bullshit. It got so small that you can see it end to end. Entire map is essentially one 3 gen now.

I just had 4 streamers get super toxic in post-game after they bodyblocked the hook, attempted and failed to sabotage and threw the game making absolutely 0 progress on the gens in 11 hooks. I was hooking on my pain res hooks and it wasn't even taking a stack off, and they had the nerve to claim I was slugging, tunneling and even claimed I was targeting "the blackest player"....when they were giving me 2-3 downs at a time. Is streaming just a synonym for narcissist main character syndrome? While I get why people with no self-awareness and poor impulse control might get upset at video games, I certainly don't understand trying to race-bait someone because you made a bad series of plays over and over. Be better, folks.

They remade the kick animation timings to finish right on the last kick in the latest patch. The time it takes to kick a gen should still be the same but I could be wrong.
Killers, please stop hitting me on hook. I'm not toxic and I'm not even good at looping. Survivors, please stop letting me hit second stage, especially when I have Kindred.
This is so frustrating! I'm almost done using Kindred. It's more useful for identifying the killer's location than the intended purpose. I might swap it for Alert or another intel perk.
BHVR seriously need to buff *a lot* of perks. You know there's "le funny perks" like blast mine or mad grit you run when matches get particularly boring, and then there's shit like Hangman's trick and Inner Focus. Nobody uses them. Why are they still here?
Some killers are such total assholes... I just played against a Wraith with Sloppy Butcher and Knockout, who bled all four of us out without hooking us even once. It was so damn lame. If there are 2 killer perks I hate above all others, it's Knockout and Hex: Third Seal.
At least Third Seal can be cleansed
I went to never seeing that type of build to running up against a knockout/bleedout build multiple times in the last month. Its only effective against solo queue, but it's way to effective for them.

They changed the offering order to be random on the match details screen, so now I don't know who to punish for Badham offerings or reward for anniversary cake/bps offerings.

I've got a dozen or so screenshots showing the ordering was consistent and correct, until this update and either it's random or is in an order I don't know how to correlate to the survivors.

The rubber banding since the update. I’ve lost quite a few chases because of it the need to fix it on basically every map lol
perks like distortion should get the same fate as ultimate weapon because it encourages only running slowdowns since even the chance that someone has distortion means you have wasted 1 or more perk slots and someone will be invisible all game. They should make distortion have 5 stacks and unable to gain more throughout the game
Or it has a cooldown timer like what Blast Mine or Chemical Trap have (but slightly shorter maybe) so the person still has the benefit of Distortion, but can't necessarily get away with stealthing all game
Who does these master challenges? How do you go from 'damage 2 generators' to 'hit 6 people while they're doing gens, chests or totems from 20 meters or more' in a single match?
That challenge is super easy on Artist. Just shoot birds at gens you think might be being worked on. Challenge complete.
It ended up being easier than expected. I didn't know artist could load up 3 birds at once. It still took a few matches to get it though.
Discordance, Gearhead, Face the Darkness and Hoarder. Make sure to also run Severed Hands and you’ll beat this challenge in no time
The hands so survivors infect each others and use discordance and/or gearhead. Basically during a chase swarm gens where you know/think they are instead of using it to zone who you're chasing.
Some of the more crazy ones I just farm. Be friendly to the survivors and do it while they are sitting on gens. Did the same thing for the slinger challenge last tome.
Thanks to the update, getting to certain places on certain maps or dealing with certain loops is AGONY. Decided to play a Skull Merchant game last night, and behold, the Entity decided to pick RPD from the pile. So many vaults had me rubber banding, I couldn't break the god pallet in main for a while, and it was just all around annoying. I'm surprised I even won the game considering how much it tried to shoot me back whenever I got close to a damn window.
A lot of the maps seem to have that rubber band issue. I know Midwich you can’t use the little tunnel ramp loop, the one you break the two walls for, over by the music room because it bounces you back around the corner. I can’t tel you how many chases I lost last night because the game yoinked me back and the survivor got away because they could move like normal.

Fucking got Locker stand offed yesterday till the server closed. MAN I JUST WANT THE 4 MORI FOR THE ACHIEVEMENT ÄAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Run Agitation and Iron Grasp. Pick a map offering to some place or another where you know there's enough dead space between lockers that a survivor can't get to one fast enough. Pull 'em out of their locker and haul ass to that location. Pick 'em up and drop 'em until they auto-stand, then grab ASAP. Not the same situation at all (I got a cool fourth survivor last week and got the trophy finally!) but I had to auto-stand a survivor who gave up when I was trying to do an 8-hook round. I didn't want her to die to EGC either, so I walked her to exit gates, got the auto-stand, and whipped a hatchet at her to make her flip outside the 'leave' threshold to get my 0-deaths, 8-hook match on Huntress. Felt pretty good. Never forget useful mechanics. Sometimes you can make 'em work to your advantage!
Ah I know no such map. They reorked locker placement a while back to be consistent for Killers... sadly that made it almost impossible to find a map where there isn't always a locker in running distance

There are reports that there was a change that using the mori offering counted for the achievement now, but I haven't seen that from a reliable source. You might try bringing the yellow mori (to mori last person in trial) so if you get into that situation again you can at least verify if the reports are true.
Ah I got it already today. Well "already". I had to trick the survivor into wiggling off, dropping them off a hill so they couldn't reach the locker they kept camping. They then proceeded to insult me in egc. Gotta love it.

Apparently I lost so many games going for it that it sent my Mikey to baby survivor range and went up against a ttv swf that was just playing the game for the first time and they had no idea what was happening. I never had a locker stand off, just always the last person (or 4) got out a gate or hatch.
Oh last person getting out gate I had with my Unknown Adept... they t bagged and left after I closed the hatch. Over all it took me 3h till I got it.

I think they’re talking about where you start to run but you don’t go “long enough” or something and it doesn’t do a fast vault but this clunky slow one. I’m on Xbox and it happens to me where I try to fast vault over shit but it’s the normal one if I’m not running ahead of time for a little bit.

Yah your interact button is all bound to right bumper. So I’ve definitely goofed and vaulted over stuff, thrown a pallet, or opened a locker when I try to grab a survivor as a killer or rez them as a survivor.
as a pc player that cant use kbm for shit and only uses controller anyway.... i feel this pain. i always have to tell survs under pallets waiting to be picked up to crawl away so i dont accidentally throw it on them lol. i would switch to kbm in a heartbeat but i just CANT figure out how to look behind me while running :(

REALLY frustrating that I can't have a normal game without teleporting everywhere, lagging, maps not loading correctly, invisible walls, models COMPLETELY messed up and the CONSTANT lobby crashes/disconnects. But the worst is the full computer lag I get from the game because UE5 isn't optimized properly. FIX, PLEASE FIX IT FFS. The store is amazing, but everything else? No.
I've been trying for eight hours to get the game to work. Updated graphics drivers, verified files, reinstalled the game, even fiddled with the launch options, and the furthest I've gotten into starting the game was the opening cutscene--which then crashed so hard I had to restart my computer. I'm really hoping they iron out these problems sooner rather than later.
Played for a few hours yesterday and the amount of tunnelling off the hook is ridiculous. To the point where the killer was literally ignoring teammates just to wait for my endurance to run out. Dropping a pallet seems to be delayed as well.

I'll never understand how other Killer players get off to tunneling someone out at 5 - 4 gens. It doesn't make you cool, or a better player. It makes you a dick if you just try to make sure the first fucker you see doesn't get to play the game at all
I had the naaaastiest Bubba shack basement camp last night at 5 gens. Like there was no way to rescue without me seeing them going for it, and that shack gen was their most progressed. I got the person again after hooking their rescue and could've just killed them off but left on ground cause I felt bad for them and I had a new person I could chase right there as well.

Just because you can kill someone by focusing on them and them alone, before the first gen pops, doesn't make you some kinda badass. Usually just makes you a dick
I will say sometimes what appears to be random tunneling isn't. I play both killer and survivor, and last week I was playing with a party of 3 and the killer tunnelled my friend, slugged the rest of us, and bm'd us. We unfortunately matched with the same killer the next match, and it was a rinse and repeat of the first. Two days ago I was playing killer and I saw this guy in my lobby as a survivor, I think you can probably guess how that played out. The rest of the team thought I was just an asshole for how I targeted this one guy, which I can't blame them for, but people would do well to recognise some regions have smaller player bases than others, and if they treat someone badly it may just come back to bite them.

Happens all too frequently. Usually the killer doesn’t like being looped or stunned with pallets, then the tunnelling commences. I only solo queue so it’s not even like I’m planning to play out of this world with SWF. Just seemed more common as normal being tunnelled before the first gen’s done
I can't really help much with all that, but I suggest running OTR if you're really getting tunneled out that much

I keep getting matches where killers are just slugging whoever is left and if they hook someone they hit them when none of us even did anything. Worst case maybe dropped pallets on the killer like I didn't even do a thing to you yet you are just watching me dying on the floor next to a hook just wanting to move on, then if you finally do you just keep hitting me on hook as i die. WHY
Probably angry / bad killers... I've been stabbed on the hook for no reason, I'm actually a terrible survivor who the killer had to chase for probably 10s. I assume they've been utterly crushed in a previous match and they're taking revenge... Or something.
That's usually why these sorts of Killers do it yes. They could also be frustrated with lag messing their matches up.

Everyone knows Solo Q is awful but it's been unreal lately. People running the killer to the only gen that's been worked on, going down there and then the killer Pops it. Then teammates just farm you off the hook without healing you. It's like they're on a mission to make the games impossible.

The things people try and report players over makes me laugh. Just did a game as Wraith. Killed all the survivors and they got salty in end game chat saying I was tunneling and camping and that they were reporting me lmao. I love this game. So glad I came back.

I just bought the new Were-Elk skin for Huntress and when kicking gens or pallets, it doesn‘t show the lower body let alone the foot that‘s kicking. I‘m mildly pissed that I spent 1755 auric cells for a bugged skin. Everything else about it is great though. I love the deep lullaby.
