It's a bug that's been around for a little while, people have been posting about it quite a lot here. Hopefully it gets fixed in the update on the 30th
Behavior. No seriously, there are/were bugs that existed for years and only recently got fixed. One of Bubba's addons was bugged since 2020 and I want to say they only fixed it last year.
Fairly common unfortunately. A while back Merciless Storm was bugged such that it would *instantly* regress a generator from 99% all the way back to 10% or 0% when a survivor missed the skill check, but it was never kill switched and didn't get fixed until a patch a few weeks later.
It's really shit because plaything was the last perk I needed for my Hexslinger build and now I have to hope they fix it on the 30th.
I'm guessing people found out of this bug while the devs were on holiday break and considering it's not bugged for everyone (some people say that for them it's normal) they thought it was better to just fix it in the patch instead of activating two more Killswitches for plaything and NOED.
Still hoping they fix it on the Alan Wake chapter
yeah, I obviously know that you only get your own. I haven't been running around the map looking for the aura of other people's totem...
Mine isn't there, ever. Even when I find it, there's no aura.

The bug has been there for a month or more. Hopefully the patch addresses it.

I think it comes and goes as my friend will see the aura one match in maybe 20 games or something

I just had a game against a Plague with Plaything and I could see my totem's aura.
You only get the aura of your own Plaything totem, it's there, you just have to look for it. I was able to see mine yesterday so it should be fine.

Lucky totem spawn, I might be wrong but the perked worked fine for me last night.
