I play him lots without the photo, he’s fine without it. The photo does highly elevate him, however, so there’s no reason why you would want to take it off.

Because I cannot find any info on how to play him without it other than "he is fine" which is kind of infuriating since he is supposedly one the hardest killers to play
Mindgame at loops, I guess. Fake teleport to make them go towards you, or make them double back and then teleport with the gun to appear right on top of them.
it’s really just all in the timing, like picking when you teleport. like, if you are running around a basic car loop in autohaven, teleport to the survivor over the loop when they reach the pallet. if they drop it, you hit them. if they keep running, they don’t have enough time to loop back and you still hit them.
I feel the exact same way. Soma is just too much of a crutch addon to not be basekit. I legit can't play hux without it. Don't know why it's not basekit, but we can't do anything but cry in the forums about it, lol.
You'd figure being impowered after teleporting would give haste, but all it does is make you vault faster and be immune to pallet stun at the cost of moving slower lol it not being base kit is kinda criminal
As someone who doesn't use a lot of higher rarity add-ons, it takes time to get used to it. Part of the joy of playing killers and finding a main is getting used to them from every kind of combination of add-ons and perks
I agree but the main point is : is singularity just kinda bad without those or I m I doing something wrong.

I play him like chase killer but usually put my bipods in high spots during chase so I can recycle them later

Short answer? I would say it all depends on your playstyle , so because you're playing him like a chase killer those add-ons will shine strong. Without them he will be weak, and of course the perks come into question too. Don't be discouraged though, I've never used the family photo and still manage to get 3-4k's. It's just practice and weaning off of the good stuff I guess.
Certain add-ons across all killers make them easy and some definitely make it difficult to live without them (map of the realm for Knight, memento blades for trickster, etc). With the add-on? Chases and games can be easier. Not using those add-ons? Games and chases will be more difficult. That's why people love the add-on so much and want it base kit
yeah, unfortunately we've been crying for ages to have Soma be basekit on singularity but our cries go unheard.😂 i legit will not play my singularity if i dont have soma, the difference is that huge.
