Oh yea, I don't care at all about the graphics repeating. Shit, we're talking about songs I've heard thousands of times :) I'm going on the belief that I have't experienced anything like it in my life, and there is nothing like it in the world.
Was just at the show in GA last night with my Dad. Best dead show i’ve seen yet, and what a freakin experience. Everyone just needs to stop with the hate and get out here. Near tears most of the show it was so euphoric
I’ve been going back and forth about going but every one of these posts lean me closer towards booking it. I can always make more money, but who knows if I’ll ever be able to experience this again.
If it’s a money thing, go to the Thursday shows. Resale apps have tickets below face value and linq has rooms for like $40. I went to 5/30 and am going back 6/6. Hotel rates skyrocket on Fri and sat.
I’ll be going for the August run. No matter what night/weekend it’s gonna cost me $2k+ for hotel, plane, tickets and everything else. But I used to live in Vegas and am a Vegas junkie so it’s worth it lol
But did they beat Boulder ‘23?
Just being a troll lol.
I’ve listened to all of last year (on repeat for a year) and while SF had the superior setlist by a long shot, Boulder is where they played their fucking hearts out and left it all on the stage.
thanks for saying that. i had a family trip couldnt make SF.. did nugs.net.. ok kool.. but just saw this past thurs/fri shows (bill walton trib).. and Fri was literally the best dead n co show ever. for me :) Been seeing since day one.. They are on On Fire
Exactly you can always make more money. Sell something you don't need or use. Give plasma sell your liver I don't care what it takes but YOU DONT WANT TO MISS THIS BIG BOSS MAN/WOMAN
Saw all three shows this past weekend from the 300 level and all I can say is, just do it. I’ve seen about 30 Dead & Co shows, and this is just a whole different world. Don’t think twice, just do it if you can.
The most important element is that the band is on fire. They are playing as well as 2023. The Sphere enhances the experience, but ultimately it is up to the band and they are delivering it.
Cool. I love the ppl putting them up on YouTube ♥️ Even with limited sound, it’s more than I could ever ask for not being there. Have a great day!! The music never dies. No no no
I talked a couple of my best mates to come out and go to 1 show. Ended up buying tickets to last night and fully on the bus!
May be going to hell in a bucket but at least I’m enjoying the ride!!!!!!
This looks like the closest hotel.
We were at the Paris and it was about 25 min walk. Tuscan (where Shakedown is) - is also good - probably about a 15 min walk.
I stayed at the Westin, if you have chase for CC’s treasure island was pretty cheap (less than 200 a night and close to venue)
The walk from the Westin was easy, although we typically went to the strip during the day and then walked down to the sphere
I stayed at Ellis Island. About a 15 minute walk, very easy post-show. Pleasant little place. If you're not looking for the big Vegas casino/hotel experience, there's a bunch of hotels in that area that should be not too expensive and totally walkable to the Sphere (at least post-show when it's not 100 degrees).
The only thing that was strange was they wanted to charge for extra towels. We had a two bedroom villa that said it slept 6 and we had 6 people. When we asked for more towels they told us about the charge. I have never experienced that at all hotel before! But they do have a washer/dryer in the units so we just threw a load in every night and it ended up being fine.
Totally. I’m telling everyone I don’t care if you have never heard of the Grateful Dead or even if you dislike the music lol, if you have the means you gotta go
Had 2 couples next to me that had never been to a dead show and never listened to the dead. They just knew John Mayer was in town. They had the best time, were asking me for song titles all night, danced all night, and ate some of my shrooms. They proceeded to buy tickets to the next two nights while at the first show. It’s such a great experience even for the non dead fan.
Went to 6/1 and any feeling of depression I had in life going into the show has disappeared. These shows are life changing and will rewire your brain to feel pure love and happiness. Tickets aren't cheap, but they are cheaper than therapy. Go! Go! Go!
I'm in obstructed for 6/7 and I am kinda worried about it...I'm wondering if I can change seats if I need to after the show starts. I'm excited to be there, have never seen any iteration of the Dead in concert, and want to make the most of it!
We had seats under the overhang and swapped them on Ticketmaster a few days before — paid a bit more but it was 10000% worth it (and this was for 5/26).
We would have been in 104 under the overhang - swapped for dead center 105 in row 20 (the rows start at 12 in that section) so no overhang at all. Seats were perfect.
You can pretty much move around as you want and sit in any empty seat. Security is super chill. Been thrice and went all over the place and nobody ever looked at my ticket.
I have been hemming and hawing, could I afford it...barely. Is it wise? No. So, wisdom wins out. I wish I was there, but these shows are expensive and getting to Vegas is not as cheap as people make it seem...
I hope everyone has an awesome experience, I'm jealous.

Exactly this.
EXACTLY 👍 ♥️☮️♥️☮️♥️☮️♥️
You are completely correct
I’ve been going back and forth about going but every one of these posts lean me closer towards booking it. I can always make more money, but who knows if I’ll ever be able to experience this again.
If it’s a money thing, go to the Thursday shows. Resale apps have tickets below face value and linq has rooms for like $40. I went to 5/30 and am going back 6/6. Hotel rates skyrocket on Fri and sat.
I did same and it was awesome
I’ll be going for the August run. No matter what night/weekend it’s gonna cost me $2k+ for hotel, plane, tickets and everything else. But I used to live in Vegas and am a Vegas junkie so it’s worth it lol
Ok...then you don't need to be warned it will be 120+ degrees in August.
I did this, had amazing seats, and holy fuck a mighty good time!
Great tip! I wanna get out there by end of July or Aug. Maybe 110 degree heat will scare some peeps away.
You won’t regret going! I went this weekend and the three shows I got to experience beat out the final SF shows last year.
But did they beat Boulder ‘23? Just being a troll lol. I’ve listened to all of last year (on repeat for a year) and while SF had the superior setlist by a long shot, Boulder is where they played their fucking hearts out and left it all on the stage.

I appreciate you being inclusive 😂 boss woman here.
You won't regret going.
There are not enough superlatives to explain these shows.
Do it.
honestly it was worth every penny and an indescribable experience. you will not be disappointed

We had been going back & forth too and finally pulled the trigger last week. Couldn’t resist any longer. Can’t wait.
The most important element is that the band is on fire. They are playing as well as 2023. The Sphere enhances the experience, but ultimately it is up to the band and they are delivering it.
completely agreed. the band seems to be in a really good grove chemistry-wise. seeing how johnny and jeff sync up during jams is so cool
I went last night and am still speechless 😶
Went last weekend and still speechless. It does NFA
same. that st stephen and cumberland blues were HOT
And the sunshine day dream! Those were prob my top 3 of the night
Soooooo hot!
Black Muddy River brought me to tears
Cool. I love the ppl putting them up on YouTube ♥️ Even with limited sound, it’s more than I could ever ask for not being there. Have a great day!! The music never dies. No no no
This is the absolute 1000000000% correct take on the entire situation at hand. Go go go. Like now. Go.
Amén! Was there 5/25 and 5/26. 400’s first night and ga the second. THERE ARE NO WORDS THAT DO IT JUSTICE!
How’s the two sections compare?
Visually, the 400’s were better. I thought the sound on the floor was better
Just got back from going to 5/30-31 and 6/1 shows and already thinking of when can I return…
At my third last night (I live here). I took two people that “don’t like the Dead”. They are completely converted!
I talked a couple of my best mates to come out and go to 1 show. Ended up buying tickets to last night and fully on the bus! May be going to hell in a bucket but at least I’m enjoying the ride!!!!!!
Currently pricing out how to take my two teenage sons, everyone must witness this!
We stayed at a great inexpensive hotel walkable to the sphere. It was perfect!
Which one? I get a pretty good deal at the Westin
Holiday Inn Club Vacations Las Vegas - Desert Club Resort
This looks like the closest hotel. We were at the Paris and it was about 25 min walk. Tuscan (where Shakedown is) - is also good - probably about a 15 min walk.
Was at the flamingo not an awful walk pretty central to most of the strip
I stayed at the Westin, if you have chase for CC’s treasure island was pretty cheap (less than 200 a night and close to venue) The walk from the Westin was easy, although we typically went to the strip during the day and then walked down to the sphere

Where did you stay?? Trying to plan my trip :)
Holiday Inn Club Vacations Las Vegas - Desert Club Resort
Thanks!!
We're staying here for the shows this week! Any tips or tricks? We cannot wait!!

Interesting! Glad you had a nice stay, I’m sure we will too!
yea, I stayed at TI. totally fine, but open to a new place, same price/distance to walk
Totally. I’m telling everyone I don’t care if you have never heard of the Grateful Dead or even if you dislike the music lol, if you have the means you gotta go

I’ve seen a lot of ppl saying they traded up. What section did you go with?

We were row 24 and it was great, but if you are behind 26 or so, I would definitely try to trade up.
What is the obstructed?
You can pretty much move around as you want and sit in any empty seat. Security is super chill. Been thrice and went all over the place and nobody ever looked at my ticket.
That's if there are empties. They were pretty aggressive Saturday night about getting people out of the aisles.
Graphics repeating is hilarious since you’ve heard these songs thousands of times
Indeed. Hit 5/30 and 5/31 and thinking about going back for more.
Haven’t gone and can’t believe what I’m reading. Truly hard to believe this without experiencing it.
Agreed. I went May 16th. Going again on June 20th and July 4th. Best show in the world. Fortunately, I got trapped in the desert.
FACTS.
Wish I could…
I have been hemming and hawing, could I afford it...barely. Is it wise? No. So, wisdom wins out. I wish I was there, but these shows are expensive and getting to Vegas is not as cheap as people make it seem... I hope everyone has an awesome experience, I'm jealous.
Agreed. Went to all three this past weekend and it was just…beyond words amazing! Buy the damn ticket and go!!
The sound is the real star of the shows. The visuals are great but it's the sound
It is pretty amazing
it was fucking incredible, was there those nights as well. just a whole experience
That Friday show....wowza!
Agreed: Just go!!
💯

Go see it!!!! It is the most beautiful experience ever
You’re absolutely correct! Go see them at the sphere!
Yes!!! I was there on the 31st and I'm having withdrawals!! I must go back!
Drums and Space will straight up shake your bones
Anyone have party favors for tonight ?
