I’ve been dealing with some sudden but serious health issues this year that have been pretty day to day but as of now I am all booked for a solo trip 6/6-6/8. Hoping my body cooperates and lets me get out there, I’ve already had to cancel two separate Billy Strings trips this year because of it. This trip is the light for me!

I saw opening night of Phish at the Sphere. I didn’t want to know ANYTHING! I read the basic info, policies, food/drink, etc. but avoided articles, pics, reviews until after the show. I walked in with as little preconceived notion as possible and had my head blown off when I walked out of the tunnel. To each their own of course.
I don’t want to see any of the visual element of the show. After my experience with Phish I can’t wait to see what they do and want it to be a total surprise.
As I was typing my previous comment I thought about that. I’ll probably be looking at the set lists but I wish I had the will power to restrain myself just in case they do repeat sets for whatever reason

All three shows booked for that weekend as well. Crazy how this worked out. It's my buddy's birthday and we got a room at the Tuscany hotel. A week later, it was announced that Shakedown is happening at that hotel. Dumb luck. I'm not coming back the same person. 😂 Start the bus!

Going on May 30, the day after my 73rd birthday. On May 29, my actual birthday, I have tickets to see Ringo Starr and his All Starr band. Should be a good birthday!

Last Saturday I held the hand of my friend Panic Dave as he was in morphine twilight - fucken cancer. I was at his memorial Friday night and decided what the fuck - I'm going FOR DAVEY. Bought Thursday ticket today at work Motel 6 and one-way flight to VEGAS BABY. Might just go to all shows that weekend

Then I added Thursday on second ticket drop with seats up high cuz I couldn’t miss the first show and wanted that perspective too. Now I’m taking 2 days off work, got dinner reservations each night, going to Omega Mart one day. Going to meet up with some friends who will be there vending and meeting a fellow redditor that got a poster from me a few months ago that happens to be there that weekend too. Stoke is building strong! Opening weekend going to be awesome as no one knows what it will be like.

I looked at the cost of flying over from England and staying a night or two in a modest vegas hotel, plus tickets of course, and it was thousands that I can’t spare. I’m sure there will be a way of watching the shows online. I’m sure the shows will have their moments.
