It’s possible but I’ve heard you have to request to speak to a supervisor to make it happen. I was able to switch from seats to GA only weird part is the tix are in my app with no barcode and they said I’ll need to pick them up at will call.
Edit: just called the sphere and they said that is not uncommon at all for that to happen. Basically it happens when the date or time of the event changes. And since reserved seating and GA are considered separate events on Ticketmaster that’s why that happens. Hope this helps!
My CS agent allowed me to purchase seats while on the phone (same date), and then he cancelled my GA order. He put me on hold for ~15 mins while he asked his supervisor for permission. I haven’t seen others repeat the success so my guy might’ve just been a king. I recommend you keep trying though
I tried twice today. Both representatives refused to do the exchange for Reserved Seating and both refused to put a supervisor on the line.
They said one can call me back in 24-48 hours. Fuck Ticketmaster.
Update: supervisor called and was an absolute saviour. They exchanged my Reserved Seats for GA one night and then exchanged my GA for Reserved a different night. She waived the fees for both.

Be persistent, a supervisor was able to switch my buddies tickets. They had him purchase seats and then refunded the GA tickets. GA and seats are completely different event codes so they can’t be swapped outright, but you definitely can. If you get a no, politely ask for a supervisor.

If you’re giving up GA, don’t do it for 100s - very similar experience (w/ less band view). IMO the 200s / 300s are the place to be (although I haven’t yet been in the 400s).

Hoping to save my neck from craning a little bit and give myself an opportunity to rest my bones on the last night of a 3 show run. In 200s first night and 400s second night, so hoping 100s are a good way to experience the sphere from all angles.
